Every time I watch one of world horse welfare videos, I am so touched and thankful that organizations like this exists. The amazing jobs they do with not only the vet care needed, but also the love and attention given to these fortunate horse's.

I hope the bastard that did this to him will get what's coming to him or her. I'm so glad that they have stiff penalties for abuse of animals. I think the United States needs to do more in this area. It's great to know that WHW will always be there for Mervyn and all the horses this rescue facility cares for and rehomes. Mervyn has improved immensely in his physical needs and his mental emotional needs. He looks like he has a great temperament and would love to give him a big hug! Great work WHW! 🇺🇸

We dont have horses to be saved really, here in Denmark. We have one center where people who have no further ability to care for their horses, can hand them in and we of course have the national animal welfare authorities, but not many horses (thank god) are in need here. I myself, as a vet by profession, therefore mostly donate and offer free treatment and participate in rescues and several organisations dealing with cats and dogs and some of the projects are with saving animals in other parts of Europe. But I do love to watch these vids and luckily donations are equally valuable even if the come from the Eastern side of the North Sea, to the UK.

What a fantastic job WHW and the vets have done on this gorgeous pony, if he could talk and I'm sure he would say 'I'm forever in your debt' great that he can now live the life he was given, As some previous person commented it would be devastating to see a pony that you perhaps once loved and moved on for whatever reason ending up in that emaciated state. that poor boy! i also rescued my horse. He was bad, but nothing like this. I thought my horse was the worst case i ever saw of emaciated horses. But wow, i am glad Mervyn looks so good now!

I've watched this video before. I think this is my favorite rescue that the World Horse Welfare did. There is something about Mervyn that I like...ah yes I know...the way he likes to smile a lot!
I can't believe my eyes. It's rare to see a horse undergo a transformation as radical as that. He is just such a GOOD-LOOKING pony!!! In his previous film he looked so sad and dejected and ... it's just impossible to beleive he could change so much. He has wonderful conformation too. I hope you find or found a good home for him.
