I found it so hard to believe that someone would leave a pony alone in a field in a state like that. Well done Chole for recognizing that Buggy needed help & called World Horse Welfare straight away. Also a huge thank you from all the horsd loves in New Zealand. Everyone appreciates your hard work & commitment to help save all those horses. Thank you xx
A newborn deer had came to us, with maggots eating into her side, where she had been laying against the dead body of her mother. The maggots had been eating on her mom's dead flesh, and started eating into the babies clean flesh. The maggots had even crawled into her navel, where her umbilical cord was off. The baby deer approached my sister, crying for help. My sister had to pick the maggots from the babies side, and tweeze the maggots from her navel, coaxing the maggots to the surface with cream. The baby lived, and grew to be a beautiful, and spoiled doe. When released into the woods, she would still return to my sisters house, and bum bread. She had eventually brought a skittish friend with her. Possibly a future mate. Raising the deer, and seeing her have a chance at life, was truly a blessed experience. It was just pitiful, that the baby was in so much pain, that she sought a human, for help. 💖
It was probably actually the maggots that kept him in there for as long as he was; without them, he likely would have succumbed to blood poisoning or similar way before he was found. Poor lump
Gabrielle Flynn DEFINITELY NOT TRUE!!! Th TRUTH: they begin to eat th animal ALIVE once th infected dead tissue is gone, what, did u think th worms would say 'we gota stop eating this horse now'? REALLY, people are CLEARLY just parroting what they've heard. That poor baby pony was in excruciating pain literally being eaten alive by those worms. Foals are delicate, they can't b left like on their own that, because THIS is th shit that happens to them
My husband and I have always loved Buggy from the moment we met him at Penny Farm. He was well loved and extremely well looked after by all the wonderful staff at Penny Farm. Please visit 🙏 Penny Farm, they have some beautiful 🐎 and Ponies all wanting loving-kindness and a home.😢
This made me cry 😲 How awful for those poor ponies to be in that condition and no one noticing until this woman did. Thank God for her being so alert and acting on what she saw and for everyone else stepping in to help these animals.
If only the same were true for the trillions of other earthlings being slaughtered for food. Since we absolutely can live happy, healthy lives without harming others.....why wouldn't we? Peace.
Thank you for helping this poor being. I called the Humane Society on Maui for a horse that I started to feed goat feed to because it was starving. They took it.
Tht little fell "Buggy" made me cry, firstly seeing the state he was indeed secondly. Seeing the transformation in him now...thank th lord the lovely lady cared and called you in to rescue him...thank you for doing so...🐎
It is sooo annoying to see people treating horses like this if you need help just ask this Visio actually made me cry for about 30 minutes and made me physically thought up I got that upset and then what I watch the rest I cried again but this time it was happy tiers this is such a transformation and thank you for helping so many animals just like this one xx
What a FANTASTIC job you people do! We have 2 horses and if we could not care for them we would find another home who could but to just neglect them is HORRID! Animals are helpless creatures and it is so disgusting to see that these owners have just neglected them so badly is despicable! Glad you are there for the horses! Doreen from U.S.A.
I love how you help horses and make them better than they were thank you so much horses are the best and I cant see why they are not taken care of once again thank you.
Oh my lord.. this is one of the worry cases I’ve ever seen. ALL of you makes a difference! I can’t even describe How thankful I am. Tears are falling down my cheeks.. this poor little creatures.. Thank you for saving these beautiful poney both lady's wish we'd have more people like you in these world like you when it comes to loving animals god bless you both and take care of these little poneys you're so lucky to beable to do that
Its sad how humanity takes beauty and abuses it, once done the beauty is gone and we are left with an empty shell. Its just unimaginable what these animals go through!
thank you, thank you. What a miracle this recovery is. I am so glad that someone saw the situation this pony was in, and took it upon herself and her friend to get Buggy immediate help. You are both very kind and caring.
He wasn't being "eaten alive by maggots"...... maggots only feed on dead/decayed matter. They maggots actually helped keep the wound clean and most likely saved the pony's life.
Mmm, that's where you're wrong. I quick google search tells me that maggots, (although less often) do, in fact eat on live flesh. I'm still not sure whether they were helping or hurting, however I just thought I might as well tell you.
omg that is just what i was going to say!!! maggots are probably the only reason hes alive! try looking up Maggots used in medical healing! I have seen some remarkable healing because of maggots! so dont be a hater!! :)
Omg. I read about Buggy in pony mag! Poor little guy. I can't believe anyone could let a horse get abused like that!🥺God bless him!❤️so glad he got better
Bravo u guys!! This is amazing!! Although Buggy has a little ways to go, he still looks AMAZING! I cant stand people that harm animals, it effects me more than humans because they dnt have a voice. the maggots kept the wound from infections

he has very sad eyes - well - wow! Thanks
It was probably actually the maggots that kept him in there for as long as he was; without them, he likely would have succumbed to blood poisoning or similar way before he was found. Poor lump
True. maggots only eat dead flesh anyway, and wounds cant improve if dead flesh isnt removed
Maggots also secrete an antibiotic so that would help the wounds he had.
