You're very welcome. I'm going to try to get another one of these done soon. I have to talk to my realtor friend and schedule a day to see what's available now.
They appear cheap or affordable, but that’s only for those from foreign countries with hard currency. For those who live and work in the country, the amount is quite much.
I really had a lot of fun making this video. I was really surprised with the quality of the places available here. I'll do another one when I leave this apartment. Probably won't be for a while since I really enjoy the area I'm in right now.
Thank you so very much. Nice to see you over on this channel as well. I have been really working hard on trying new ways of editing and making content here. It's way different than making gaming content. Haha
Great video. Interesting to see what your money gets you there. They all looked pretty good in there own way. Which one was your favourite? The second last one?
Yeah. The one with the black and white tiles was my favorite. It was just big enough to be cozy, the layout worked for me, but the balcony and the view were what I loved the most. All I wanted to do was to get a chair and sit out there with my morning coffee and start my day. It was amazing. Honestly though. Any of them would be fine for me. I can't wait to see what I can find when I go back in a few weeks. Fingers crossed the 4th one is still available. If so, I may try to grab it.
Hi New subscriber. Love the authenticity of your vlogs. So many Vlogs regarding SE Asia is about how many women the guys bed. I have zero interest in that. My current goal is to settle in Hua Hin by April of 2025. I do have some Anxiety because of the language barrier but I see so many folks making the best of the situations they put themselves in and dammit, I can too. lol. Best wishes, look forward to seeing your adventures.
I agree with you 100% about having zero interest in the typical SE Asian vlogs by men my age. I do not care about any of that, I am here to understand the culture, enjooy the food and be surrounded by amazing people that actually care about people and if they are happy and doing well. Don't worry too much about the language barrier. If you can, learn a few of the phrases you need to get by and if you are stuck, you can always use Google Translate. I have not had a single person here get upset with me for trying to speak to them and failing. The attempt means a lot to them and it shows that you have respect for thema nd their language. Before you know it, you will have friends here and you will be learning the language faster that you ever expected. Enjoy the journey and good luck on getting to Hua Hin. I do not have a single regret about coming over here. I love it.
Thanks very much, great prices,i spend alot of time in sien reap but yearn for the thai beach if iv been here a month....so ill leave this option, thanks for showing us
I'm sure that I will yearn for the beaches after a bit myself. Growing up in Florida, makes me enjoy being close to the ocean for sure. I'll see how I feel once I get there. I loved Siem Reap, and would use that as my starting point. I can travel Cambodia once I am settled and if another place looks like it would be fun, then I can try that out for a while. The short term leases are definitely something I'll be looking to use, until I find a place I want to stay long term.
I'm glad you found my channel as well. I agree with you. The 4th one was my personal favorite as well. I checked to see if it was still available when I returned, but it was rented by the time I came back.
I'm looking forward to getting back and seeing more. I look through their website from time to time and I've seen a few others that look interesting. All of them were close to downtown. That's the location I would want to start off with.
Wow, thanks. That was interesting. I was immediately going to say the $500 place didn't really offer anything substantial over the places half the price in terms of the room, but I see someone else below commented the same. I'd do OK with the cheaper places as long as the location wasn't too far out.
The location for all of them was in the areas that most expats stay and close to downtown. All of them were a 5 minute drive away. There are plenty of places that are further out and much cheaper, but I wanted to look at places in the area I was staying in.
@@FrugalWanderer Sounds good. What is Siem Reap like for stores and shopping ? Does it have decent electronic stores and things like that ? It doesn't exactly look like somewhere that has an Apple Store or large electronics market, but that's only my uninformed opinion from what I've seen. .
@@cryptotrader2779 I didn't get out to any of the malls, but there are little independent electronic stores all over the place. I didn't see a ton of western stores but I think that's why I enjoyed it so much. I know that Phnom Penh has more of that, but I can always hop on a bus and head down for a weekend and do some shopping. I'll probably save a ton of money that way. Haha
@@FrugalWanderer Sure, I suspected it was like that from the many videos I've seen over the years. Not that I'd want huge department stores, I was just curious as I've only really seen the fairly quit and small town vibe and wondered if there was a larger more commercial part of town. But if Phnom Penh is close enough then that's fine. Looks lovely anyway.
@@cryptotrader2779 there may very well be regular stores somewhere, but I didn't see any. And Phnom Penh is 300 km away, so it's not that close. I will probably visit it once every few months or if I need to get something that I can't find in Siem Reap
I was a little concerned before going because most of my life, I have heard horror stories about traveling and visiting there. All I can say is that it was the direct opposite of everything I had ever been told and I had a wonderful time and felt safe the whole time. I have felt way more unsafe when I lived in Florida, but that's not a fair comparison. I mean, even the alligators are trying to get out of Florida haha
I use the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 for all of my videos. I picked it up when it came out and have been loving the quality from it, especially at night. It's small and easy enough to use. There are still some things I'm learning, but for me it's been a great camera. I highly recommend it. Thanks so much for checking out my video.
My apologies. Because I am not permitted to add links to any of my videos, I did not think of just having the name of the apartments that I looked at. Most of the ones in this video were arranged by the real estate agent that I went with, so I do not know how to look them up. My apologies again.
I get it, but I only got the wide angle lens that came with the combo. I looked for more before I left, but no others were available and I have yet to see any over here. I do what I can with what I have and I'm happy with the results. I'm going to keep on the lookout for more lenses and will get them when I see them. I've also been to the DJI stores here and none were available. Everything sells out quickly for this camera. It's very popular
@stephenshepherd1270 thanks. I'm glad you found me. Also, you were spot on. This is all with the DJI osmo Pocket 3. I didn't notice the ? In your comment. I just woke up and haven't put on my glasses just yet. Haha
I tend to agree. The expensive one did have a few features that the others didn't, but I personally would choose one of the other units first. Especially the one with the black and white tiles. That one was my personal favorite. It was just my style and the location was perfect, as it was near where I stayed while I was there and I liked walking around there.
Pretty simple actually. I applied for my 1 year visa extension and I got it within a week of applying. It's also multiple entry, so I can still travel and visit other countries here.
My apologies. This was the first video I had ever done like this and it's difficult to look at an apartment, ask questions of the owners and film at the same time. I've gotten better with it, but this was the first time.
To be honest I haven't seen any of that since arriving overseas. Even in a small town like Fredericton, it was something I saw all the time. Not going to lie. It's refreshing not to see it.
Thanks for showing us the various apartments. Much appreciated.

I agree. That is why I take the perspective of someone coming here from the west looking to seee how much it would cost when they get here.
You rock 🪨
I like how you did that. Haha. I am rubbish at using emotes. I guess it shows my age.
Very helpful, great channel.

How I contact the realtor
I went to their office and met a realtor and set up the appointments with him. The one I used this trip was called IPS and they were wonderful.
And no homeless drug addicts anywhere to be seen!
