Hey Shawn nice job on catching and catching the action....also good on you for puttin out the info, I'll be there mid April, coming from Oregon.... 22 years and counting...once Pyramid gets you, it won't let go.... it's a special place.................. thanks for the show ................
I fish balanced leeches under the indicator a lot. Sometimes I’ll fish a chironomid too. I do good with basically all colors of balanced leech. Green and black are my favorites.
Raul Garcia if you fish indicators I usually go six to nine feet below my bobber. No more, no less. Some beaches are different but that's worked everywhere I've fished. And if you are fishing sinking lines/ shooting heads you can't go wrong with the standard popcorn beetle. That by itself of behind a midnight cowboy. Always seems to work. Vary your retrieve speed. It doesn't really matter though. I've caught fish stripping super fast and super slow.
Rad! I just learned about Pyramid Lake last year from a friend I kayak fish with. He’s only gone in a boat, I want to go in my kayak. Is a kayak necessary or is fishing from the bank just as productive? You slayed em!
I fish 3 to 5 foot leaders with my sinking lines there. I like the fastest sinking lines I have. Rio deep 7, scientific anglers sonar titan sink 3/5/7, rio outbound short I/s6, and fast sink shooting heads are all lines that work good for me there.
zipngo1 that's cool you got a double digit fish. I've been trying to get one for years. I've been close but don't think I've broken into the double digit poundage. Good work!
Shawn2939 we had a guide and got 4 the first day; nothing big. The next day Rob and Mike put on the spot. Actually having a 2 hour bite. Last cast in spot that was hit for hours. I am going back soon.

Bryan Turner you can fish from the bank or from a floating device. Both are good. It's hard to say what is better.
Shawn2939 thanks good info on the indicator set up. How about sinking line is it 6 to 9 ft also. I'm heading to Pyramid Next wk Wednesday.
