Helluva job out there. Both streamers.....to me that just means as to how agressive they can be. Way to be patient on the fight. I've fished a 10' 7wt and I'm almost hesitant to do so anymore. It's more than adequate. However, for insurance, I just fish a 9' 9wt at least for the most part. Bring on the winds and the gray days!!
Yes indeed. I wasn’t planning on stripping so I had to size down my floro tippet to aid in getting the streamers to sink to the correct depth. The clear water also causes me to have to size down. It was hairy but it got the job done.
Please dont remove the tags. When you get a tagged fish. Keep the fish in the water and scrap the algae off the tag,so you can read the tag number. The phone number for the hot line is also on the tag. When you remove the tag, your creating an open wound that could seriously injure the fish.
That is true that and is how I usually do it. You can even hear me say I want to take pic of it. Main reason I ended up taking the tag was that it was already pulled lose from the net. To avoid holding the fish out of the water and gassing it to long I removed the tag.
