Love your vids mate, no BS. Keep it up. As long as it does what you need it to do, who cares about the speeds. I get worse than 55 on my NBN because of the old infrastructure.
Haha, good on ya mate. I just ordered one a few days back and it’s on the way. I also got the usbc to barrel cable so I can run off the power pack. A game changer for sure, specially being 12v and most of all compact.. I really wanted this so I can take on the quad bike camp trips I have coming up.
Buck this is a formative clip as usual thank you - my only comment is being away from all the rugby league content on the media that we have shoved upon us here in Queensland would be a blessing.
Awesome Buck just got notification mine turning up in the next 2hrs and I’ve ordered the USB-C 5m 12volt lead. I’m in the Territory and always remote & do UA-cam full time reckon it’s a game changer. Thanks mate love ya work.. G’day Dale 🤩🤩🤩.. 🎣🎣👌
Thanks for the video mate. Such a great bit of kit. I’ve been eyeing them off since they announced it and now that my sat phone service is broken and not getting fixed, I reckon I’ll be getting one too.
I have a mate that lives on 200acres west of Watsonville.... West of the Tablelands in the middle of nowhere and he now uses star link for communications and it works great! I rang him the other day and he was loud and clear!👍
Hey Buck! I've had the Starlink Mini since it first came out and it's great. The wifi signal is pretty strong so you shouldn't have much of an issue. You can get an ethernet cable for the mini and run it to a wifi router. I just ordered the 5m usb-c charging cable which ships in 2-4 weeks. I also have their roof-rack mount. As soon as I got the mini we did a week road trip up north in Washington state and it worked like a champ. -don
Yes mate I have a 10m USB cable on the way via Ebay. Who has the roof rack mounts mate? Starlink didn't even have the cable. It seems everyone else gets accessories before starlink does.
@@Mrbuckaroonie.. Can you share a link to the 10m 12v cable you found please. I've seen 2 and 3m leads which are barely long enough to reach outside my vehicle.
I recommend using a telescopic flag pole for the mounting solution. Also if you've havibg wifi issues outside consider getting a wifi mesh system i TP link DECO works excellent.
lovely Ep Buck, What you got will run it off 12 volt. the brick is to run it off 240 volt, i could be wrong but. That's great speed, we get 20 download and 4 upload.
Hahahaha . Uncle Roger : " E m o t i o n a l D a m a g e ! " . That Compact Star-link seems like GOOD KIT . A Godsend for the 4x4 remote camping fraternity .
Looking at the Starlink range and the Mini in particular. Since this video have you tested it in your van and if so what was it like? I know that you can run an ethernet cable into the van and connect to that (say, via your laptop's ethernet port or into a wifi access point but that means running lots of cables everywhere. I wonder too, if you do run a network cable into the van does the wifi on the Mini itself still work?
Buck I’m literally 200 mts from the kings shop mate I’ll give u a free clear top bag from kings just to meet u mate I have one still in the box 126 Scott street mate love ur work ❤🇦🇺🇦🇺🙏
Get yourself a wire winder to wrap that cable around so it doesn't get tangled. Make sure to check the alignment in the application for best performance.
If you go to jacar electronics you can buy a 5.5x2.1 female to female joiner and a cigarette lighter plug with the 5.5x2.1 male plug and you can run on 12v.
55 means your download speed is 55 megabits per second. Starlink can often be a lot faster than that, but 55 is still pretty fast. Looks like you have an overcast day there, that will influence your speed.
Not sure if ya have lithium in the back of ya car but I’d suggest running a 400ah battery in the car with inverter a 2000 to 3000 one and running ya New Van off that when ya can mate , the car will recharge the battery any time ya drive it and have the caravan’s batteries run the Van when ya leave ya lady at camp. New laws mean you will have to upgrade the Van to new battery standards mate sadly
Whaa just what l need, when you get the spare Mini any chance forwarding it on to my address,I will just right a IOU. Our garage needs a 4 ton hoist, can you organise one in Cairns 😊😊
To run it off usbc buck it needs to be 100W-20V-5A USBC cable 👍🏼 STARLINK now have the cable available on the website. You just need to make sure the power supply you’re plugged into can provide the power required.
We’ve been running a dongle, what ever that is. I don’t know if I should show the bride this clip, she’s been chewing my ear for one of these things for months now. I keep saying we’ve already got the dongle and it works fine, at least sometimes when you have phone reception 😂😂 all be it slow and intermittent . I can see this is gonna cost me 😢😂😂
Your video quality is good and getting views. But don't do seo in your video. If you do seo in your video then you will get more views. Your channel will be very big. If you want I can solve this problem.

Wow this technology stuff is mind-blowing. This will be great for the Cook ups when you're travelling. Can't wait.

I reckon this is going to be the unit for me and the family
Excellent mate ... thanks ... just what i need
Hi Buck, another great thing for your van is a kickass pedestal oscillating fan. One of the best piece's of kit i have purchased for our van
We’ve just changed over too mate. It’s bloody awesome.
Keen to see the 12 volt system buck
Gday Buck, the size of the unit & the12volt is a game changer ....drop the monthly to $100 would be even better!
Great vid, keep 'em coming.
It’s a bloody good day when you get a double dose of Buck
Great bit of kit, mate has one out in the sticks where there is no nbn and 4G is dodgy as hell and he can't fault it either.

55MBPs is standard for a good connection to NBN here in Ipswich. Streams several devices.

Chuck a WiFi booster in the van see if that helps buck love ur work mate
We have fibre to the house on NBN and with 50 megabytes we can run 4 k no problem.
Are you on $80 a month Buck?
Can’t wait for the new Tesla cell phone to hit the market. It’s going to be a game changer!
I missed the new caravan piece! Reply with a link pls

It was the clip before starlink Stu on the same day. Hope you are well mate.

im 0n 35 on my home broad band in scotland 😢
You want to give it at least 11 degrees or more of clear sky for it.
Thanks for the review mate
So you don’t need a Starlink connection in the van Is that correct?
No either 240v or a cig plug mate with the 12v cable. The USB c port must be able to support 100w.
I just watched the camp man just before this video 😂
Good man haha.

Great little unit mate. Can you pay as you go as needed or is it every month payment. Cheers.
Pay as you go unlimited. $174 per month. Stop it when you are not using it.

Mate 50g/s is as fast or faster than most NBN plans
Seven nointy noin for the woi foi?
USB C is out mate I just ordered it
So the big question is - did Australia post deliver a new star link mini ? For your sake mate I hope not 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Power consumption was all over the shop mate. Between 11 and 51 watts.

I'm so confused by the New Zealand flag hanging behind you. Aren't you Australian?
Set it up hook up your wifi and take your phone for a walk. As you get to 3 bars, thats the limit
Why dont you just use the starlink at home? Ditch the nbn
Yeah thought about that. NBN is a lot cheaper. I will only pay for starlink when I need it.
You only need 18mbps to stream mate anything under that will struggle.
$799 is good considering I paid $1100 for a Telstra mobile booster and it doesn't do anything.
Uncle Roger!😂😂😂😂😂
what do you mean there's no rugby league in the Mexican state. We have Storm. You bewdy
Compare the numbers if those are important to you - run ookla speed test
