Yeah, the trains in Italy are always delayed or breaking down. We always drive while we are there after our first experience. Still the most amazing country to visit. We just got back from there 2 days ago!
Garibaldi to Centrale is a 15 minutes walk at a brisk pace or two stops (five minutes at most) on the metro. You could've saved yourself anotehr delay and the last train (which by the way takes a bit of a panoramic route to connect the two stations.)
Hey! I'm trying to book something like this... from rome to switzerland, is there anything easier or quicker ? Searching high and low for good info on zurich , lucerne interlaken for last week of December. Very mixed reviews. Your opinion would be ace :) Any info? Did you like switzerland?
I think we just got unlucky with trains since there were lots of delays and the route we wanted to take had maintenance on the tracks so we had to take a bus in between. We didn't go to rome but I'm sure there are plenty of good train routes from rome to zurich since they're major cities? We LOVED interlaken (didn't spent too much time in Zurich or Lucerne, vlog below) since we wanted to do lots of outdoor activities during the summer. Switzerland overall is one of the most beautiful places we've ever been to and we especially loved the Jungfrau region (we vlogged our journey in switzerland through Jungfrau and Zermatt). ua-cam.com/video/5REX8gm_-Qk/v-deo.htmlsi=QinOtOiHya7dbZ3G ua-cam.com/video/KELoIs6bynM/v-deo.htmlsi=OXkAknKaV2NcBKMc
