Lots to Do , but now I have my Targa Florio kits from Race Track Scenics so I can calculate the needed placement of the collection to continue

It’s nice seeing someone that I’ve followed for a while going through a similar process to me. Right when I thought I had a finalized track design, I decided to buy a banked curve section. Now I’m having to reconfigure my layout around some of the design elements that are already nearly finished.

@@BoonesSlotCarGarage My track is definitely taking inspiration from Deception. Eventually, there will be “old” concrete & “new” asphalt sections of the track. I went ahead and started painting about half of my straights to look like a concrete surface with expansion joints. I’m toying g with the idea of adding in some Nurburgring inspired grafitti to the “old” part of the track.
After seeing the video where you painted the track at the hairpin, I’m thinking about adding some aggressive texture around one gnarly R1 chicane I put in at the end of a long straight. My daughters and nephew all kept wiping out there. We lost two wings that day. I’ll just reattach them w/neoprene or some bicycle inner tube cut down to fit.

Hi Boone, it's reassuring to see that I'm not the only one who needs hours and hours to get further on the track. I've still been working on the basic construction for 4 weeks without even starting to build the landscape. Somehow my job bothers me...

😂 don’t feel bad… I made a separate while ago that if I was going to work on my layout the camera would be running. Either a livestream or a video of the process. Only downside is it slows me down somewhat. But it’s a process enjoy the experience buddy
