I own a 2018 Chevy Van that I bought used that only had one key and one remote. The dealership that I bought the van from was puzzled as to why I wanted more than one key. So I had them sell me the keys and extra remote at their cost. They wanted $150 to program the keys and the remote. “You’ve got to be shitting me?!” was my response when they told me that price. I had the keys cut at a local hardware store and they had a programmer for the remote because you have to have the special programmer to program the remotes for newer GM vehicles. He charged me a fraction of what the dealership wanted. So my advice on the newer GM remotes is to ask around at locksmiths and hardware stores, because a lot of them have the programmer so you don’t get ripped off by the dealership. I also own a 2012 Buick with keyless ignition that I bought a new key fob for and was able to program it myself by following the instructions right out of the owner’s manual, so I don’t understand why with the later models they’ve made it so proprietary, other than try to make it so their dealerships can price gouge more customers.

@@MrsFabyjmz83 You will need to carry around one of the remotes with you as you go from tire to tire to use one of the buttons to activate the sensor,and then you let the air out of the tire until it chirps again,then next tire.....You have to read the owners manual,there are a few steps to access the Tire Pressure Sensor Module,or maybe it is in the Body Controller which controls a shit load of things.But YES,you need the Key Fob........Sorry to bore you,,the owners manual makes a better understandable reading material,explains it all.Good Luck,Mark,,,,

You don't need to cut keys. Start car, then take key out and immediately put new key in. I watched the dealership do mine
