The unicorn is supposed to be tamable, and it is intentionally not affected by the mod. It says so on the mod's front page, as are all other mythical creatures. You would probably get it killed soon anyway, or just not feed it like you do most of your creatures. And you're right, the crafting speed is brutal. It's manageable if you have a tribe, but you need to push videos, so feel free to change it. Your reasonable fans will understand :)

Even better is when Syntac says that carrots do the same thing, but they actually boost stam regen. You gotta read the tooltips in this mod, Syntac!

To be fair, horses don't lay eggs. And since this pack is going for "realistic" I'd say the Unicorn/Horse tame would be normal since horses were broken to be ridden in the past (ridden until they give up trying to buck you off)

1. use the unicorn
2. Get rid of the slow crafting
The slow crafting comes from starting with 10% crafting speed, so if he invests 9 levels into it he gets to normal.

@@frankparker245 Crafting speed also effects how fast he harvests off of bodies and how much he gets
@@deatryx uhh, no it doesn’t lol, Crafting speed increases the speed funnily enough and it improves quality of an Item if its crafted with a blueprint.

Why abandon the Unicorn? If you don't like the passive tame mechanic, how will you ever get an otter?
Meh , otters will not help in anything , so they r not any kind of cheating but the unicorn have a 1100 health

if he feels like he's not allowed to have a unicorn because of the passive tame ability (even though I don't think unicorns spawn as babies anyway- I think its fine if he tames mythical creatures like unicorns or gryphons since they don't spawn as babies, and I think I saw on the page that the mythical creatures have been left untouched) then he wouldn't be allowed to tame the otters either, right? or anything else thats gone unchanged? I mean, I feel like that may as well sort've be the same logic-

I don’t think you really need the crafting speed, maybe have it on the patron server but not for videos otherwise you won’t be able to get as much done

This is probably my favorite mod, other than the saddles, but it's brought back the fear and need to plan for an adventure in Ark
This has quickly became one of my favorite series you've ever started. Love this and these only further my want of building a PC soon.
Omg I got so pissed when you just left the unicorn cause you aren't supposed to be able to tame it even though you can since you can't frickin steal a unicorn egg or something
I think the thing with the unicorn is that it is a special spawn, that hadnt been taken into account doing the mod creation, i could be wrong but i imagine that you cant tame equus the normal way but they will herd together like other herbivores, and you have to passive tame their babies.
@@LeTumes someone said that mythical creatures (unicorns, wyverns, basically all of Abberation, etc) intentionally aren't effected by the mod. Idk if it's true but yea

This mod reminds me of everything I wanna see in Ark 2. Herds, migration, nests, babies
I just finished episode one after falling asleep lastnight it’s so amazing to see episode 2 just posted love yuh syntac Keep grinding
the size of the egg means it requires and specific nest: ember = tiny and small, mud nest medium and large, and living nest is for gargantuan and colossal
But what does that mean for the tame that hatches
You can only hatch a egg in the right nest
Only one unicorn 🦄 so there can’t be nests or whatever.
Also horses dont lay eggs

This is a full conversion mod he needs to play it as if it isn't ark! Narcotics aren't for taming, mythical creatures are above the laws of nature, and he needs to choose between comfy crafting or being able to escape death quickly at least in the beginning. Loving this series but the amount of needless deaths due to not being cautious is definitely frustrating as he goes through the early episodes
I think you are meant to have the unicorn because there’s only one per map and you have to be lucky to find it

Wait I just realized, why is the stamina regeneration so slow? Don't humans have the best stamina regen out of almost all animals?
Yes, humans evolved to run till their prey couldn't anymore, we are long-distance runners. (If i had to guess, the mod dev just wanted it to be extra-hard)
Yes, for example cheeta's run really fast but for a short time, on the other hand we run much slower but much longer.

I'm surprised that they have slowed stam regen considering that the ability to catch out breath quickly and on the move is like the only purely physical advantage we have... That and throwing things.
This is def not a Syn style Ark ,rush in craft, build etc. It looks like a more calm approach,relaxed chilled no hurry. Eventually success through the grind,reap rewards. I hope you keep this going for a while at least. Really enjoying it.:)
Me when the unicorn is an official creature and is just a reskined horse. And all equus are passive tamed and would be inpossible to get a level 1 with or without the mod
What? They have 2 diffeant ID which means that unicorns could be passive and equus would be that you have to steal from a equus egg....

The Unicorn is a mammal and as such wouldn't normally come out of an egg so it would make sense that it would have to be broken like a horse or domesticated through trust like other mammals.

This series is worth a sub. You are the only UA-camr i found which has not changed the stats when u level up. All the other ones i found have some stupid high stats which make all the mod is about pointless. They level one time health and are back to regular 100HP, they level crafting skill two times and have 110%. Keep up with what u did so far, and let the settings as low as they r :D

The protective aura is gone the moment you hit some creature or when you steal a egg or do something else to the nest. So it only protects you during approaching the nest. It is abusing a mechanic but has it's limits which is good.

This is definitely a mod you should be playing with friends. While one distracts the herd/pack, you can grab the eggs.

I feel like maybe you cant tame horses, but unicorns are meant to be super rare, so I think it's fair.

fairly sure that was a logical way to tame a horse since you have to "break them" in a primitive way (fairly sure thats how it used to be done) so that Unicorn was probably intended to be that way....and well you saw how strong things are? an equus would get killed pretty quick.
No equus cant be tamed like that in the mod

The mod doesnt effect griffins, wyverns, unicorns etc. Unicorns are allowed, how else are you supposed to tame one if their spawn cap is one per map, taming their babies which they dont have?
