Syn, feathers are really rng. I spawned next to a bunch of dodos and killed them all and got a bunch of feathers. The one i left alive is a infinite source of feathers, every once in a while i can go up to it and pluck 3 feathers. I have an egg so i think i will be able to pluck feathers from my tamed dodo. What im trying to say is that you really should dedicate a whole episode just adventuring looking for dodos
Yeah that works, but dodos also have nests...I found 2 fertilized dodo eggs so I have Dodos in my base

Andi Zubaida RNG can either bless you or curse you, meaning you can either get a level 150(or 180) giga first try, or get one after killing like 40 others
The Mod description says crafting skill increases the harvesting speed as well, so you might wanna check that out...
You can also make it go faster with .ini/server settings.

For example, if you skin something with 200% crafting skill, you will get 2x the resources as you would with only 100% crafting skill.

I loved watching the beginning of primal fear and pugnacia cause seeing you get to the point you could start progress was kinda like what happened to me in vanilla and its a really good feeling

I'm loving watching this series SO much - I don't exactly know why, five episodes in and we're celebrating finally being able to fight things efficiently (yay, gun!) maybe the realism of it? the challenging aspects definitely make it unique, and it's honestly really cool that the species have nesting grounds and travel in groups

Just a word of warning, if you have a lower mating interval and higher baby growyh, you're going to end up with dino explosions - tried this mod out for myself after watching this series... so... many... trikes...

Syntac! Having played with The Hunted a LOT recently I highly recommend Dino Hunger Meter. It syncs really well with TH as eating from a corpse fills them up and they stop eating and become less aggressive, which makes sense since you can get sooo much meat from bodies. Also, highly recommend turning off supply drops and adding Upgrade Bench which lets you craft, spend resources to upgrade, and breakdown to make blueprints. And RP visual storage, simple, balanced, visually appealing storage.

@@tae_lna It was just around 60 in a world whit 100 + that stays in groups, would not call that op considering its just a horse whit a horn to. But all in all he do whatever he wants, his game play after all. Just sad he even tamed it when he just left it to starve after/left it to die. ik its a game but still sad.
I think it's a little funny when he gets surprised every time he gets sinew from an animal. Sinew is like tendons and stuff, all animals have that, so it should be a given that you can harvest it from practically everything.

Make a raft, cruise the coastlines until you find some Dods. Tame them! They generate feathers passively. Killing your first Theri will solve your feather needs.

You can pluck feathers feom living dodoes, they give up to 3. Also, if you find one sitting, it will attack and have an egg underneath. Tamed ones let you harvest up to 3 feathers at intervals as well

Hi syntac your videos are very good! Here is a way to steal eggs. You will need a flyer, 1 grapple , a parachute You will need to fly above a nest then parachute down and steal the egg then grapple your flyer ride him and you have your egg. Hope this helps

The reason crafting skill didn't work is because its only 50%. The game only applies values above 100%. Otherwise, you would risk making items that are worse than the blueprint.

I want to first thank you for getting me interested in playing Ark again! I also want to thank you for getting me want to get back into learning how to mod lol This game mod is actually pretty interesting because you can really control the main area around your base by killing nest and cycling what spawns up, but like you said it would suck to get rid of one dino and getting a Giga instead!
I feel like there should be a harvesting tool like a special knife to speed up skinning etc

The craftingskill bonus only works if your is over 100% and not if you have leveled. That means it propably still works and you just have to Level more.
Pls test this out in another save before leveling.
Sinew fibers are basically tendons and thick tissues that connect bone to muscle. I think basically every creature gives it :O
Unless the creatures you killed come back as a different Dino!! Imagine a dodo spawns back as a giga! XD

Ok Syntac, I read up on the mod page, so I'm gonna post this comment so I warn you. Spoilers about some stuff! About food, how to get certain things, etc.
Oh btw i got this from the steam post from the dev. Credit goes where credit is due.
Berries-
Amarberries provide(yellow ones) 0.25 food, but 1 water.
Azulberries (blue ones) give 0.25 food, 2 water, and slightly better oxygen. However, if you eat too many too fast you fall asleep.
Mejoberries give 1 food and 1 water
Narcoberries still knock you out, but give you 0.25 food, and 0.25 health.
Stimberries give 3 stam, -10 torpor, -1 water, and 0.25 food.
Meat is 10x as heavy but 10x better at feeding you
Fish meat gives half as much food as meat, but can be eaten raw with no consequences, and double the health
Savoroots- 50 food
Rockarrot- 10 food, 30 stam.
Longrass- 20 food, 20 water, 15 stam
Citronal- 30 water, 10 food, 5 stam.
Birds drop quill hide and feathers, instead of just normal hide.
Penguin and hesporonis eggs spoil into organic polymer
