What a strawman! The responsibility for the incident involving the 14-year-old kid lies with the parents of that kid (the neighbors and NOT the Wilsons). They were expected to take care of those kids, which is why they were initially going to be prosecuted and charged with neglect. However, the Wilson's decided to withdraw the charges and forgive them. If anything, this makes Andrew and Rachel look good. Very Christian of them btw 😉

I don't know where they live, but here law requires that 14 year olds can only drive if there is an adult seated next to them, and in Rachel's case the 14 year old that she allowed to drive her 10 year old son did not have an adult in the car with him. Sounds like negligence to me.

doesn't make a difference. If he cared about the kids he wouldn't care about his wife cheating, for the kids sake. An intact family with a mom thar cheated is superior to broken up family stuck in a custody battle for years with the children in the crossfire.
When he says he would have left if he wasn't the dad, that implies he would have been fine abandoning the children as well. This means he either had zero emotional investment in the children or so little that he can easily get over leaving them. Either way it shows his investment in his step children is not that great.
Think about this, one child died already and he's STILL asking for a paternity test, saying he will leave his step kids if it's negative. Another person would have considered the emotional toll of loosing a child, or sibling in case of the step kids, and chosen to stay no matter what, to finally bring some much needed stability in that chaotic family. He doesn't even consider this. Instead he literally has no issue creating even more damage for himself, his wife and his step children, by leaving them without a father and starting a THIRD custody battle.

I hate this argument. I trust my friend's driving skills... I still wear a seatbelt. You can trust someone with every fiber of your being... and still have that trust thrown back in your face. If a man or woman wants to have some money set aside as a "get out alive" fund in case their partner becomes isolating or abusive, I see that as a prudent thing to do considering the world we live in. If a man just holds a standard as default to have a prenupt with any women he marries, and choses to paternity test all of his kids... and he makes this standard loud and clear as early into the relationship as feasible.... that's a lot better than finding out 13 years later your kid isn't yours. Some Sloppy supporter accidentally revealed that the 10 year old boy had been temporarily banned from hanging out with the 14 year old neigbour boy because the teen exhibited problematic behavior. When the 14 year old teen killed their 10 year old son that was apparently the first time he had been allowed back. So that makes the irresponsible behavior of Sloppy and Dave look even worse. They KNEW the teen was a hazard to the point that they kept their little son away from him for some time and then they allowed them to hang out unsupervised again. They are responsible for the boy's death.

I saw a news article about it that stated that Andrew said the 10 year old was temporarily grounded from going over there because of issues that the 14 year old had. All the news article said was issues nothing about hazardous behavior or dangerous behavior. Could issues mean hazardous behavior or dangerous behavior? Possibly. But that would not be enough to go off of for an accusation like this. Yeah, they are lying a lot. They have not argued against the factual elements of your original video such as their daughers own admission of the relevant behaviours. They are also using a tactic of lying and ad hominem (such as calling people Simps to Brittany in Pearls comments) rather than responding with facts.
It is upsetting partly because Pearl does actually have a bit of a legitimate platform and message, where Brittany does not have the same strength in that area to me personally, in that Pearl is actually willing to bring up the marriage laws issue. But at the same time she has this very weird philosophy on virtue that women are naturally kind of inferior, and this can then justify her just acting like a woman, being emotional, protecting friends that shouldn't be protected, and pushing back on people with legitimate criticisms.
I feel that in the absence of 'real life', this is teaching me that even if someone has a good message they are not to be idealised. I wonder what I would have to do if I had any power in the situation and the stakes were higher and/ or personally relevant. And if a person has taken decent care of themselves, 55 is still too early to be having preventable health issues caused by poor lifestyle choices. Why would it matter if you’re 20 and your parent is 55? Is it shameful somehow? I never understood why people think it’s better to have kids in your early 20s before you’re even fully stable and developed. Maybe 30+ years ago it didn’t matter because people could afford to live, but now, how financially stable and _independent_ is your average 20 or even 25-year-old? So many of them live with their parents or multiple roommates because they can’t afford to live on their own. And how many of them are truly ready to settle down and be parents? At least at 35, MOST people are done partying, have some stability, and life experience that a 20-something-year-old just doesn’t have. I know a few people that had babies in their late 30s and they’re doing a lot better than those that had them in their early 20s. It’s better to bring a baby into a stable environment than one in which you can’t even provide your family with their own space. The people that have kids really young are the same ones crying about how expensive childcare is or are completely dependent on their “old” parents and other family members to take care of their boogery kids for free because they don’t have two pennies to rub together. The only people that can afford to have kids young are those who are already well-off, and that’s just not most people.
In all fairness, it's understandable that people would have a problem with the way you kept reiterating that they weren't his biological kids as if that is sufficient to disqualify the possibility of parental attachment and a strong bond forming. For all intents, a good step parent considers the children as good as his/hers, not treating the child any less than a father/mother should. Perhaps it's the way your phrased it and kept hammering at it that feels a bit...cynical..

Taking on a stepchild as your own, because the biological father left or died, is very different from staying with a wife that cheated on you and then raising the affair baby. A lot of men could consider the first option (especially if the woman was blameless in it) but would never raise some affair baby as their own.

Andrew's name is not listed, when it signs off with this, "Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins also survive."
If he was a father to that boy, he would be listed as such amongst surviving family. The biological father was clearly present enough in his life, in order to be the first name on that list.
He would also have adopted the boy and had his name changed to take him on as his own.
He was a step-father who wasn't even listed on the boy's obituary.
