Absolutely! It won’t even take Pearl that much effort to look better. Just wear better makeup, dress for her body type/ complexion, style her hair, maybe lose a little bit of weight. Not major stuff. I consider myself the natural type but that doesn’t mean I don’t put effort into my appearance. I get my hair and eyebrows done, I style my hair, dress for my body type, wear natural makeup, have my nails manicured but totally natural (clear gel Polish). I’ve never had any kind of plastic surgery or work done, and I’m older than Pearl. It’s so easy to do these basic things to take care of your appearance as a woman. It’s when you put no effort in that you look bad. Of course some people’s looking bad with no effort won’t be as bad as a naturally plain person like Pearl. She really does need to put effort in. You can look amazing and still be natural. Pearl could at least look relatively good if she tried.

Most startups lose money at first, but usually it goes on for no longer than 3-5 years, depending on the industry and growth. Sometimes your company has massive growth, but still losing money, so the investors are willing to throw more money in hopes it will change. Her growth is pretty stagnant now and she was never profitable (not since she started doing this as a business), sooo I give this another year or two.

My mother is 43 years old and has the skin of a 25 year old woman. According to her, it’s mostly sunscreen and staying out of the sun. With her gingerness, Pearl is probably more prone to sun damage. Sun screen goes a long way. Not saying you have to reverse the aging process to be valued but Pearl most definitely has that mentality while also not taking the basic steps.
True - for example, Julianne Moore actually credited her fair skin with why she aged nicely, because she stayed out of the sun already for most of her life to avoid damage! So being conscious could help.
I'll be 30 in a 1.5 years and people still ID me when I'm trying to buy a lotery ticket. I don't drink alcohol or smoke or ever done any drugs. I drink a lot of water and use sunscreen before going out, but I barely go outside. I also wash my face and moisturize every morning and before bed. I also don't wear foundation and usually just wear some eyeliner and mascara.

I don't get the obsession with aging. It's all dependent on your circumstances and your health. I looked and felt terrible as a teenager, into my early twenties and the older I get the better I feel and the better I look. I would go so far as to say many women have similar experiences, adolescence/early adulthood is not the peak for women, only if your lifestyle is terrible

@@mariasafron7789her childhood friend said that she’s very much straight. I think that hatred towards women is jealousy. I’m also a tall, broad shouldered girl and sometimes, we have to do even more to appear feminine whereas I find that petite girls exude it naturally since they fit that standard. Unfortunately, tall = manly and short= girly. The world is really that stupid. It’s frustrating because we really are just ppl that want to do our own thing.
My saving grace is that I’m just a very feminine person naturally but Pearl isn’t and doesn’t have to be. She’s an athlete who likes to wear basketball shorts to class but can rock a dress and heels. The reason I don’t feel bad for Pearl in spite of this is because instead of doing some introspection, instead acknowledging this horrible feeling and seeking to remedy it, she’s taking out her frustrations on marriage and family, trying to pull down other women with her because misery loves company.

I too, lost my ex to an older girl after he took my virginity. I was traumatized to the core; lost my sense of self and self confidence and went on a self-destructive rampage, but I grew out of it, and all that just made me value and care for myself and other people even more, and always watch out for other girlfriends who might be going down the same path. Trauma is one thing, but destroying yourself and other people whilst blaming all of it to trauma is another.
