Oh man u scared the s**t out of me! 😂😂 I just bought a PB100 and when I saw the title I thought is something wrong with it or some sound quality issues. But 18 sec to connect?....Who tf cares, Party ON! 😂😂🙌🙌 Cheers!
@DLX willington The reason why its taking about 18 seconds to connect is because when you have two partybox speakers and you want to pair them together for TWS, it gives you about 5 seconds extra time so you be able to press the Bluetooth button on both of them simultaneously to have them connect to each other. After that you have to connect to one of them .
@@meganantis100 Consider that a BT speaker is a combination of five components: a BT receiver, a pre-amplifier, an amplifier, DSP, and a speaker. It's a class-D amplifier and it's not unreasonable for it to take a 10-15 seconds to stabilize. HTH
I’ll be honest, the time it takes to power on/connect isn’t a huge deal to me. The sound quality this thing puts out and price point completely negates any minor flaws it has, in my opinion.
Well I own the PB 300 and it also takes pretty long to boot and connect, probably also around 15-20 seconds but for me it isn't a dealbreaker. If I gotta do that once before listening to music at home or even at the beginning of a party, it doesn't bother me all that much.
Yeah it isn’t a deal breaker for how long it takes to start up. Heck, for the time that it takes to start up (which is about 15 seconds) I can be doing something else in 15 seconds like seeing what song will be perfect to play. I really don’t mind that at all. If anything I would say it’s convenient :)
I own 2 JBL PartyBox 100. It's not so much the "connect time", but the amount of time it takes the speaker to boot up. The big delay is time between pushing power, and when the speaker initializes. My bigger problem w/ PB100 is trying to get them to pair in TWS (true wireless stereo). And, if played for a long time, sometimes they get out of sync. I gave up, and just used the aux to connect them with a 3.5mm cord.
I've noticed it takes some time to boot, like you say it's not a deal breaker and still delivers class leading sound. If you can pick one up for £200-£220 like I did, it still represents a bargain. I imagine it's slow to conserve energy and prolong battery, afterall it does give up to 12hrs playback.
Well, I don't have to waste 20 seconds of my life waiting for it to connect, I can get a cold beer and be back when it's done. So, how often do you have to connect this thing if you have a party going? Exactly...one time and that's it. The sound quality and the watts thrown out by this thing has yet to be matched by a similarly priced speaker.
Ok buddy, if this is the single down side you found with this speaker, you manage to convince me to buy two of them. Tomorrow I'll go pick them up. Many thanks for your video! Marry Christmas
i just tested it on mine, which i received a few days ago. it took about 3s to start it and almost instantly connected to smartphone via bluetooth. ( started looking for device on phone, then pressed bluetooth button on the pb100)
It could be because of how much power it’s putting out and booting up safely without damaging the speakers and devices. Sound quality is where I’m at. And the JBL PARTYBOX 100 is the best on the market. Only if they made it water resistant, it would be way better.
Probably right there. My jbl go 2 takes 3 seconds because of how small it is, if the pb 100 took 3 seconds it will probably blow from being too high powered. It would need some time to climb to that power

It takes time to kickstart the battery safely. Sony reviews aren’t too good in comparison with jbl.
That’s my take!
The delay is because pb100 has BT version 4 something and the little ones have above that.
