Save you 12 minutes... up your Omega 3's, and lower your Omega 6's. As long as those are in balance with each other (lower 6, higher 3) you can eat organic, fresh ground peanut-butter. The End.

Don't 4get that its not all about the #'s. Natural instead of the real Smooth kind is much better for ya! But, thx a bunch for the shorter version of the correct ratio to try to go by while eating it in modetation.😉😳😌

Important to read labels. In the case of cheap peanut butter, the peanut oil is extracted and replaced with a cheaper seed oil like canola, sunflower, etc. Good peanut butter should have one ingredient: peanuts.

It mixes it completely and then you don’t have that oily mess on top. Thank you so much for all of the Awesome information!!!!❤️

Another solution which I swear by: I put my jar of peanut butter (Laura Scudder) in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes. This causes the solid part to get firmer while the oil is still somewhat runny. I then open the jar, tip it to drain out a LOT of the oil into an empty jar. Then I have a jar of Peanuts Butter that is just right.

Don’t eat eggs, don’t drink milk, don’t eat beef, don’t eat chicken, don’t eat fish. They had a reason for everything, so now I simply eat whatever I want. I just eat a very varied diet and I will allow the chips fall where they may. Wishing everybody the best of health🙂

Sigh. There is an overabundance of information. Yes there are better and worse diets. The SAD is one of the worst. But also diets are very personal. I am using the word 'diet' in its original sense, as in 'what you eat regularly' rather than 'this is my current weight loss attempt'. My current thinking is that a low carb diet is best for most people.

I'm insulin resistant. My biggest problem is hypoglycemic episodes. I had always had toast with butter when I was young. My doctor told me to add protein to my breakfast to help stop the morning hypoglycemia. I bought bacon but I got tired of that quickly. Then I remembered that peanut butter has protein. So I stopped the butter on my toast, and put 1 tablespoon of peanut butter on my toast. It helped me stop having mid morning hypoglycemic episodes.
Then I started having hypoglycemic episodes late afternoon even after having eaten a light supper. So now I eat toast with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter about 3 pm every day to stop the late afternoon hypoglycemia.
I do have Rheumatoid disease but the bread has more to do with adding to the Rheumatoid disease than the 2-3 tablespoons of peanut butter per day. But the hypoglycemic episodes are so bad as it would take little to send me into a coma. So I'll take the pain first. Pain tells me I'm not in danger as a coma states loudly that I'm in critical trouble.

My mother always prepare roasted peanuts before our school exam. We believe it’s a food for the brain. And now at my age I still have a good memory as far as I was in grade school. Everybody are amazed about my memoriam. I raised also my two boys with peanut butter, and they are amazing in school. We don’t stop buying peanut butter even my 2 boys now that they have their own family . Now, I-am diabetic 2 , I lessen my bread, but I don’t want to stop my peanut butter, my doctor told me to put peanut butter on my banana, and apple in the morning and just eat one slice of bread.

I make my own with organic Valencia peanuts I always add the Celtic sea salt which has tons of minerals and it’s good for you and also either grapeseed oil which doesn’t leave a taste and it’s not bad for you or sometimes I’ll put sesame seed oil .

I started to get rid of the oil in it as soon as I opened it, then replaced it with organic cold pressed olive oil mixed it, and that's it. That's how I balance my omega 6 and 3. I hope I make sense. The smoother - easier to spread peanut butter is a whole. Lot worse than the Natural harder to spread kind because of all the extra foreign ingrediants that almost ruin any goodness left in it. Thx so very much for re-assuring us that the naturally made kind is far better. I soften our Natural harder to spread peanut butter by leaving it out room temperature 2 make it easirt to spread. I have also poped it in a microwave covered for 40 seconds to make it easier to spread. The unblemished taste is so worth this little extra trouble !!!!😌😁☺😀🐥😉

Thanks for sharing about peanut butter. My 92 yr. Mom eats a lot of peanut butter and has mg effect in her body so this information will be a healthy blessing. My husband also has side effects from a stroke in 2016 that left his right side arm paralysis and right leg and foot a little bit affected. Last May we had covid and during tests for melanoma cut out of arm and it didn't spread thankfully! The Drs.said covid caused issues in his heart and lungs. He is borderline diabetic and his AC runs high occasionally. So I want to build his muscles in his legs stronger and cleaning veins and bowles for healthy circulation ECT. Hopefully build up omega 3 like you suggested! He is 68 and now diagnosing him with pads disease so that leg and feet pain burning has been bothering him
Hopefully he can reverse the issues and live longer.

I love peanut butter as much as anyone, but when I eat it as a "staple" food (i.e. daily, or multiple times a week) I tend to get cold sores. The arginine gets too high in my body. So I only have peanut butter now and then as a treat. I love nuts and seeds, eat lots of pumpkin seeds, walnuts, (I don't overdo those either). I try to remember to eat more chia seeds! When I want a nut butter, I grind marcona almonds in my coffee grinder, and it makes a thick almond butter.

I'm glad you clarified about being able to raise omega 3 intake to help keep the ratio in a healthier range. I had a feeling you could offset the bad effects of omega 6 by taking in more 3, but I was never really sure my hunch was correct. I have come to understand it's like sugar, corn syrup and fluoride. It's almost impossible to avoid if you eat anything produced or sold in america. (Think about how any food prepared with or grown using water from a municipal system has been fluoridated. Crops get repeated doses of fluoridated water and it builds up in the soil.)
I used to take a fish, flaxseed and borage seed supplement, which supposedly has a perfect balance of Omega 3, 6 *_and_** 9,* and I remember that after a day or two of taking it I had an overall better healthier feeling. That's purely anecdotal, of course. And I've also always tried to use cold pressed first press olive oil, so I was probably already pretty well balanced among the fatty acids.
