  • Brain fog is not a permanent change in your brain, it’s simply a sign that your brain is stressed. One way to release the stress is to tap into the power of relaxation, like with this gentle brain fog meditation.
Brain fog commonly occurs during and after an illness, during hormonal changes, while taking medication, alongside anxiety ... among other things.
It's important to first see your doctor to check for physical reasons for the brain fog. Symptoms can include:
    • feeling “spacy” or confused
    • feeling fatigued
    • thinking more slowly than usual, and needing more time to complete simple tasks
    • being easily distracted
    • having trouble organizing thoughts or activities
    • forgetfulness, such as forgetting daily tasks or losing a train of thought
    • word-finding difficulties
Your brain has a complex job to do - so keeping to a routine can help improve brain health when it feels overloaded. Eating at regular intervals, going to bed at regular times etc. But simply accepting that you may need to take things slowly for a while, is part of the journey to healing.
    Be well, be calm,
    ❤ Clare

Thank you so much for creating this! I definitely feel calmer and more grounded. I especially like your idea of not trying to rush the brain fog away and allowing ourselves to go more slowly until it dissipates - this certainly takes the pressure off 😊🙏

@@grosporcmartin hi! I’m 7 weeks in and my symptoms are very fluid. Brain fog, fatigue, dizziness. There’s studies being done that it typically can resolve in 6-9 months but not sure.
I’ve been in discussion with my doctor. Taking supplements and pushing through.
I’ve been working out and there’s been studies that this could aggravate these symptoms.

I love this!!! I’ve struggled with brain fog for 20 years (since being diagnosed with bipolar disorder type 2 and anxiety). And have not known how to confront it.
I did add my own affirmation of “I am fully present in my mind”, and that really cleared my head up.
Thank you thank you thank you 🙏 😊

ooh I love that affirmation. I'm glad you found this useful, brain fog seems to be one of those issues that doesn't get addressed very often.

Hello Clare, thank you for your content! Your videos on driving REALLY helped me❤️
Could you please create a meditation/ step-by-step guide on overcoming anxiety from public speaking?
I get tongue tied and scatterbrained as soon as I have to speak at a meeting or anywhere where the vibe in the room is generally tense.
Your energy is very pleasant and resonates with me.
Either way, I appreciate your work!

Great explanation about brain fog.I have had longterm CFS and see brainfog as a for me normal condition that I have to live with.BUT when I think about it a lot of my fatigue and also foggy thinking comes from feeling overwhelmed and living in a house crammed with too much and my life crammed with too many things to do..2 months ago I came down with a non covid flu and was forced to slow down and just rest. This meditatiin is an excellent way to remind myself to stay slow for now and just be..Many Thanx🤗

I love the association you've made about the fatigue and fogginess with a life crammed 'full' of stuff. It's almost like taking one thing off your workload, or taking one unwanted item from your house can clear your mind or stop weighing you down. I'm glad the meditation resonated with you! Thank you for taking the time to let me know. I hope you continue to feel better

@@benmahoney538 Hi sweetheart, I will speak to you from my personal experience, I had Covid on the summer of 2021 and suffered from brain fog after, it lasted some months and I felt so lost and depressed, I took some anxiety pills for how bad it was, but here's the best part... it passed, sometimes I feel my brain fogging, like it is happening right at this moment of my life but that's because I went ill again, probably a flu, idk really, but what I know is that things can be fine again, the bad can go away, but only with your help, you need to help your mind, work with the conflict and the anxiety you have, do not fear it. It's been 7 months since you commented therefore I hope you have already overcomed this unspoken of enemy that is brainfog. All love and positive vibes to you.

Today, it's only gotten worse. I haven't slept well in days, I could barely focus through this video. During the video, my hands started shaking and becoming kinda stiff, and my head also started intensly spinning.
It's hard to think straight and knowing that only makes it worse.

    • @GenerationCalm
      @GenerationCalm  Рік тому +3

No one else is going to be thinking about it like you are. I know it was embarrassing for you, but to be able to get over this you have to be kind to yourself. Develop a kind way to speak to yourself, like you might speak to a friend.

I'm sorry to hear that. The research shows that it's not a permanent issue, but that doesn't help when you're going through it. Rest and stress relief are the best things you can do for yourself rather than pushing yourself to do what you normally do. I hope you feel better soon.
