Let me tell you it's easy to do the puzzle I figured it out by myself just check every single corner and if you find deadend backtrack and go to new area the game will automatically will lead you to the boss

if you keep dying to the knight at the door, just use lions greatbow and radahns spear as an arrow and it basically keeps her in place and it takes like 1 minute to kill her if you hit all of the shots.
i just went down by some lever from the bridge. Followed routes and ended up in the madness forests, killed Mytra and Bayle and am on other side of continent xD
From what I've seen honestly, I think only two bosses are even gated behind another boss, given you can access everywhere EXCEPT behind messmer's castle and the final area with zero main bosses killed. All I can think of is... One area, an offshoot from the area below Bonny Village, where you have to beat a catacombs in order to enter, and the literal last area, which requires dancing lion and messmer to be defeated.

I came from the "right side" into the castle and you can just jump down to the room before the bridge to the entrance :) ....... Not me coming from the back and completely skipping the main gate the first time

heh I'm nearly 50 attempts in and only managed to get him to 75% health only twice. Using a strength build against him is insanely challenging due to the recovery of jump attacks
I use bloodhound fang that weapon isnt good against bosses like that i'd recommend using nagakiba with blood loss but i still managed to beat him u just need to try and try to learn his movements and the rest will be easy @@kiranikib42
For some reason I discovered nearly all of the secret bosses but didn't really find Messmer till way later 🤣 I had assumed he was the very last boss. Turned out, just like the bosses of Leyndell in the base game, you could get to him rather early if you choose to. I thought he was like Radagon, turns out he was more like Morgott
Ok the lever part.. any other game we cry Bullshit and uninstall but for some reason in elden ring we turn to a brother for help. Thank you for this video. I'll keep pushing on.

Actually not , I actually entered shadow keep church from the back entry , not front entry . It is easy all you have to do is keep following different paths

i tried so hard to play through the dlc without guides, but after exploring for 12+ hours, i had no idea what to do next or how to reach new areas. why is it so damn hard to navigate the map???!!!!
I fell off the top scaffolding and died but it allowed me to respawn to the stake of marika right before Messimer lol also I entered the castle through the east entrance so I skipped all of this lol
Damn I pulled the lever without ever going to miquellas cross grace and now I cant pull the lever back down so I can get that scadutree fragment near miquellas cross
Let me tell you how my comment is ending up here, so i am at this very location (where he says its easy to get lost in this room) i go west and i end up on the bridge that leads to western area of the map, and i end the game there for the day, next thing i open up youtube this video pops up, so out of curiosity i open this video only to check/watch the very first few seconds to kinda know in which area he is, and i find out THAT I HAVE APPARENTLY MISSED THE BOSS WHO’S ON THE VERY COVER OF THE DLC😭😭😭
I have the problem that some dingdong put a message infront of the entrance to that exact boss the Hog and I can’t access it at all I went in first and got killed only to see I can’t go back in
I first tried him but i was to overlvled i did all other graces and side quest before him im lvl 601 and scadue lvl 16 on my first playthrough with 600 hours he was fun 😅
