Midnight shifts, foiling 3 feet off the water
The waves are X amount of feet high

I still watch Eddie's MTV Unplugged performance from time to time. Great podcast!
You mean Pearl Jam's unplugged?
me too. Listen and watch. His voice range is amazing.
Love Will's contained freak out when Eddie was introduced haha. I've listened to this podcast so many times. That Vedder pitched in that he listened to Grohl on the show was a nice bonus.
Will hit on my favorite PJ song, "Black". For two weeks in 1994, I used that song to cry myself to sleep after a Pompeii level breakup.
Eddie is easily the coolest cat I’ve ever met. I was 16 and he couldn’t have been kinder or funnier. Poked me in the forehead. 😂
My wife and I are in our early 40's, we , i suppose grew in this "era"..lol. Have traveled to see PJ a few times etc.I was in the airport returning from a work trip and my wife forwarded me this. It was likely the most entertained I've been in the last 5 yrs on an airplane. Arrested development WITH Eddie Vedder....? Could listen to these conversations for weeks!
special thanks to Sean for telling/ asking Eddie how does it feel to have made music that is the music of someone's life, past, etc. I listen to pearl jam daily. I am so thankful for this band and their music and lyrics that speak for my soul.
I was at the first show on that tour with Mike Watt and Foo Fighters. Mississippi Nights in St. Louis, what an unforgettable night.
Is this one of the band members from Mookie Blaylock?
Saw pj in Columbus; time of my life. Always my favorite. I do a mean eddie on the karaokes
🎤 😩
Eddie! ❤ omg, LOL, Jason asking what "Pearl Jam" means. Why did I never ask what it meant? all these years even. Sean's G-rated explanation of it leading to Jason's "Organ Scream" and Will's "D*ck Barf" to which Eddie says it was the alternate band name they had considered.. I stopped what I was working on and just laughed 😄 Omg, this podcast is SO FREAKIN GOOD! ❤ You guys should have a Billion subscribers. I need to get the word out!
Nice intro
43:50 Best part. ‘Are they…’ 😂
Omg the best 🎉 I love this!
Jordan Peele recommended a comedy show at the end called Pen15. 12 minutes in and I had to share. Two thumbs up, or 3 if I had a mutant 3rd one. Watchable comedies are so far and few between nowadays so be smart and not smartless. carpe diem🔥
Do you know what venue the Gwar/Prosthetic Leg happened at?
...that's right, The Belasco Theatre!
Sean. I also did not know. And I love the Beatles! So ashamed. lol
1:45 I thought exactly the same thing until just now.
That must be where the callouses came from - funniest line of this episode
I, too, thought Beatles were Beetles as bugs. Sean, there are bunch of us out there
With an arrow that says please grab here hahaha
I guess these boys never heard of The Silver Beetles
❤
I have never pay attention to the Beatles name haha , thanks Sean
I can tell by the lighter and the inhale that he still smokes the melllow yellow nails. Bless’em.
Smartles!
I didn’t know the Beatles thing, and my name is Tracy, so that’s probably why lol
I always thought that lyric in Black was tattooed on high seas like Eddie was a pirate.
I was today years old… just kidding! I’m with Sean, had no idea about the origin of the Beatles!
I was today years old when I didn’t give a f#€< about the Beatles, I listen to good music.
Edgy. Cool dude.
I ALSO DID NOT KNOW that was why the Beatles did that with their name... wow. And yet I thought i knew so much about them....well now u know one more anonymous person did not know about this..
I'm with Sean. Didn't know it was a pun.
I didn’t know about the Beatles being a pun on music beat. I play piano .
Will is the smart one .
1) never thought about Beatles being a pun on beat.
2) don’t really care too much about them.
3) may be because I was born in the mid 80s
Did not know the pun. 56
Ha! I'm also guilty of never even wondering what Beatles meant. Not an insect or car reference... just a word. Still Smartless at age 53.
Will takes so damn long to ask a question
