- In this episode, I show how to use the updated Ingest and Create Proxy workflow proprietary to Premiere Pro version 24. Creating proxies makes editing smoothing and faster, especially on slower machines.

8:25: The workflow my editor and I did for a project was to create our proxies in resolve and we then outputted an ale and proxy xml from there. We imported the ale into premiere and then linked back to the proxy footage. That should be fine and different from what you’re explaining right?
It was for a vertical show and as we were ingesting our clips in resolve, we wanted to adjust all the clips collectively into vertical format so we did that first in resolve before exporting them out for premiere.
That's a similar workflow that I like to use with the XML. Creating proxies in Resolve is faster than in Premiere. But I prefer editing in Premiere. So I often round-trip from proxies in Resolve to editing in Premiere, then going back to Resolve for the color grade. This tutorial is for those who wish to stay in Premiere for the entire process.
