The altitude of Rishop and kolakham are very different.
You will get to see different species of birds at these two different places. Some birds would be common. I would suggest you to stay at both the places for atleast 2 nights each and explore. For more information you can contact me on WhatsApp [phone]

Rishep is also the best place to capture Green magpie (Dhorekohli). Lava-Rishep-Kolakham range is a 10/10 spot for tourists to birders.

Try to visit in Feb - March.. weather starts to get warm in the month of April and birds start to move to high altitude regions.The ghurpis flower blooms during Feb -march you will get to see a lot of birds during this time. If you are planning to visit in April try to visit high altitude places like gairibas, Senchal WLS, rishop, Zuluk, padamchen in East sikkim or places in North Sikkim.

@@utopiadystopia87 APRIL would be a little late. number of birds would be significantly less in number. but both Rishop and kolakham are full of birds so you will always get to see birds. there are some specific points near kolakham village where you can spot a lot of birds. you can contact me( Whatsapp [phone]) if you want more information. its hard to explain everything here...
