Most of the birds featured here frequent our backyard (in Shillong, Meghalaya, NE India) or can be seen in the adjacent forest. Which shows how similar we are in the avian world to Bhutan. And we don't need to go to Bhutan for birding 🙏
Thanks for sharing. The quality of your videos, including your narration, offers viewers a calm and imersive aproach to bird-watching. Cheers from Brazil!
Most are handheld Shaun, mainly due to the nature of birding in Bhutan - birds are in lots of cover, often in mixed flocks and very mobile. Would prefer to use a tripod but too often I’ve missed a bird getting the tripod set up! Most video is taken with a Panasonic GH5 with a 100-400mm Leica lens. Image stabilisation on that set up is really good. All edited using Final Cut Pro X although I’m sure Adobe Premiere is just as good.
@@GregBaker57 I am from India, and immensely grateful for sharing your footage with a calm, enriching commentry. Already subscribed. Keen to watch it again. Have you used any other lens except 100-400 mm Leica?
Debananda Sengupta Hi, all the footage of birds was taken with the Leica 100-400mm lens. Some of the general landscape footage was taken with a 14-40mm lens.
Very pleasing narration. Just love the background natural sounds captured very well. Thank you!
Outstanding quality and commentary
Not only are the images soothing & much better than most documentaries, the understated narration adds layers of to-the-point info. Congrats!
Amazing! Brings back so many great memories from North-East India. Love that you just use the Natural sounds from the video, never change that! :)

Well, yeah NE India and Bhutan, and parts of Nepal, will generally have many similarities… of course you wouldn’t need to travel to see things lol
Your voice and narration is pleasant and satisfying
