Godly video, from a new frost DK that got geared too quickly, thank you very much. I have DK next action guide but you can tell it’s not totally optimal after awhile
''if you spend a rune after 2 seconds after a rune comes off cooldown it counts as if you have immediately spent it for cooldown purposes''. im not a native english speaker. please help me understand this. im trynna figure out this fdk rotation for so long. what is cooldown purposes supposed to mean ? thank you for the guide btw
@@Ryechus17 thx a lot for the answer. didnt see it in time tho. one more question if you are kind : should i use cancel aura macro for blood tap on all my main skills so that i dont fuck my diseases up because of it by casting more obliterates ? or anyway. in which context is relevant to use that macro, if it is. thx man
If there is a request for how to parse ADK with one-handed games, I’m sharing the ADK first-person game channel. Easier to understand. The game for Parsians is abused differently on different bosses www.youtube.com/@tuhlomag
If you are talented 53 Frost 18 Unholy; it has a slightly different rotation where they use a 3rd obliterate every other set of runes when your blood runes become death runes. I'm not sure exactly why, but blood tap can potentially mess up one of your future death runes for this 3rd obliterate. From what I've read the blood tap cancel aura "needs to be after you cast obliterate with the death rune before you use your next blood rune"
army ghouls snapshot your haste/AP, should pot before using army, and typically armor pot is better; sims assume perfect uptime when they show haste pots simming higher
Here is the log of the top Frost DK on Thorim Hard Mode. It's a 2 minute fight, which means he would get full value out of armor pot, but he chooses to use haste pot. His timing for haste pot is not for the cast of army of the dead but rather during his cooldowns. To be honest, I don't have hard numbers investigating the difference, but I personally don't feel 20 AP could be better than 500 haste rating during cooldowns. classic.warcraftlogs.com/reports/wZWtJgby1jAvLhcQ#fight=25&type=damage-done&source=7 In response to sims having unrealistic uptime; wouldn't it be more realistic for a human to consistently have high uptime for 15 seconds rather than high uptime for a whole 2 minutes?
@@Ryechus17 the difference in dps isn’t super significant in the end, but haste for 15 sec simply doesn’t affect as much of our kit as AP does for 2 minutes. Haste speeds up our autos, spell gcd (raise dead but not oblit or FS), and tick rate of our diseases. Either way thorim is one of those fights where you probably can have perfect uptime
The 10 second armour or haste pot uptime wasted to snapshot army is far more effective during combat when you're actually attacking. A UH pres snapshotted army does about 35k damage and a prepot will only add a few hundred damage for armour and a few thousand damage for haste, at most. You armour prepot for fights longer than 2:15 plus algalon, Freya and mim. Short fights like kolo you prepot haste like naxx.
I've always seen that it's better to use unholy presence for aotd, how come blood presence here? Also, why not indestructible potion instead of speed Pot?
You are right about using unholy presence for Army of the Dead on prepull to snapshot the extra haste, as well as the Manual Crowd Pummeler active if you have it. According to the sims I've seen, the 500 haste rating for 15 seconds during cooldowns/lust is better than the extra ~20 AP for 2 minutes from indestructible potion. Armot Pot was nerfed to have a 2 minute cd instead of a 1 minute CD. You used to be able to use both potions at the same time but not anymore.
that works too but then you wont be able to dnd on pre. the benefit of using dnd and aotd pre pull is that if done properly youll start the encounter with rune grace already active
Straight forward and to the point, lovely video. Thanks.

thanks
The Next action guide WA is optimal but it adapts to what you do so if you don't know the rotation and make mistakes it will try to fix it for you.
Army of the dead does more damage when casted in Unholy Presence
yes you are right, also use manual crowd pummeler if you have it before aotd if it is pre-pull
May I know addones for that dk?

Baiscally, its okay to not spend your rune right away you wont lose dps
