As a retired forester with 50 years experience- here's my take on what I'd think if I was walking in a forest and saw such a clearing- I'd think it was a perk test. They often do it with a small backhoe that could get into a forest with little disturbance. And, I'd think that the soil was "fine sandy loam"- which can look as fine as coffee grounds (with no rocks, sometimes) - in fact, looks just like coffee grounds but lighter in color. When done with the perk test- they don't attempt to restore what it looked like before. I'm not saying that's what it was- just that it's possible. I do believe these guys- what they saw. I happened to have seen the Hudson Valley boomerang shaped craft back in '83 on the Taconic Parkway. I don't know what it was- maybe it was a military secret craft- but it was large and made zero sound so I don't easily dismiss stories like this one.
Every perk test I've seen was depressed so it could catch water, not flat, not perfectly circular and had obvious backhoe tracks and a mound next to the hole with undisturbed soil in the hole to show a true natural perk. He also said there were no tracks from machines or animals in or leading to the circle of soil. I also saw a boomerang shaped craft in the summer of 2023 with my wife. It was huge, VERY fast and completely silent. It had many super bright white lights under each wing. We saw it perfectly clearly, we were actually ufo watching at the time in our recliners. It wasn't very high and passed the complete sky, horizon to horizon in less than 5 seconds. I believe it was one of ours. They are here and always have been, imo.

That is fascinating, I wonder if that's it. It was mimicking the way they paddled. It made me think of a ballet port de bras, the carriage of the arms drills that ballet dancers do. He was being really exact in the order of joint articulation with the same kind of attention one would use in a port de bras!

The object was in the sky, mid flight, had no Tangible Physical Form. Which made it seem even more incredible in that it looked like a Faint Glowing Fog in a Ridgid Shape, in a blue Glow that contrasted against the Twilight Sky. When i said Ridgid shape, i mean that this glowing mist had Hard Edges, it wasn't like a regular mist that flows and dissipates. This was like a Self Contained object, It almost gives you the impression based on Science Fiction that it was an Object in a sort of 'Stealth Mode'. Or in Biological Terms, it almost looked like a Floating translucent Deep Sea Jellyfish. Despite all that, yup. I still didn't provide details 🤣 So there is more to it if anyone is interested.
I think the light coming from the bottom and going upward was some sort of floor the entities were walking on near the marshy creek, that's my guess. They were able to move around on this thing in the darkness. The missing paddle really adds some creepiness into the story, it's like the entities took it from their canoe without them knowing it, before they got there. That is a creepy mystery.
I think the missing oar occurred when they were taken or placed back in the boat after being taken, with missing time. In other words, when he was staring at the being waving, they had already been on board the craft and placed back in the boat. Maybe that was a form of waving goodbye.

Got some time? I used Google Maps to look around Hubbardsville, NY. I couldn't find said swamp, but there are likely creeks, one unlabeled, one called Hunt Creek. What I did find is something very odd: type in Hubbardsville, NY, use the satellite image, go Northeast on Rt 91 (Quarterline Road) for about 1/2 - 3/4 mile, 2087 Quarterline Road: 42.827961, -75.456908 What is that??? Looks like a fort, with ramps. How about 42.802707, -75.434491 A circle of trees in a pasture with something in the center...
One thing that has me wondering is that the second guy calls himself the camera guy and never films the area of 'coffee grounds" dirt, as he didn't bring his camera, fair enough, that happens but then a few days later being so excited he forgets his camera again?? A dark fishing trip in a Conroe is not a good place to take a camera if you don’t need one. They didn’t know about the ‘coffee grounds’ until they discovered them a few days afterwards and apparently they had no desire to return a second time and take a picture of a round patch of earth.
This (with the help of Google Maps) makes it much easier to work out exactly where this was. I think I've identified the exact place, although funnily enough that new dock isn't visible in the satellite photo from this year, so perhaps it was taken away again.

my theory is that they both got abducted canoeing, BEFORE they met the entities, by a ship crew 'A' above (which they didn't see) with Fred still holding onto the paddle. Then they were returned to the canoe, and that's when Fred realised the paddle is missing. The crew 'A' decided the guys are harmless and are permitted to see the ship in the woods and crew 'B', but that crew weren't told these guys were already onboard the other ship OR they freaked out regardless and hid behind the ship (as per protocol: NO CONTACT) only later to reassess the situation and let themselves be seen by Fred and Lou, and wave at them, signaling no ill intent.

Two big red flags. 1: one of the 2 guys had a camera and liked to use it. Forgot it when they returned to the scene and the bare circle....... . So why the did he not come back the next day and photos of the circle of bare ground......? 2. What a farce of an expedition to the spot in part 2. My understanding is that a significant amount of influence over us can be exerted. Many experiences have been baffled by their own robotic behaviors before, during and after their experiences, including thinking they were going to get a camera, but then forgetting all about it, only to realize it after the fact, frustratingly.

Two big red flags. 1: one of the 2 guys had a camera and liked to use it. Forgot it when they returned to the scene and the bare circle....... . So why the did he not come back the next day and photos of the circle of bare ground......? 2. What a farce of an expedition to the spot in part 2. Why did they not bring soil experts and analyze the soil in the circle area... Absurd that nobody has done that. .... My conclusion . Two buddies having fun with the UFO gullible.
My understanding is that a significant amount of influence over us can be exerted. Many experiences have been baffled by their own robotic behaviors before, during and after their experiences, including thinking they were going to get a camera, but then forgetting all about it, only to realize it after the fact, frustratingly.

They're not northeast accents- more accurate to say the accents of unsophisticated Italian guys from Brooklyn or "New Joisey". The rest of us don't talk like that. The more vocal guy, though, seems to speak rather well without an advanced education.
I traveled the USA a bit. When I was delivering and installing a radio transmitter I chatted with the girl DJ and you know what she said to me " - Y'all sound just like the guy on the national TV news" You see I live in Syracuse,NY you know home of Newhouse School of Broadcasting is located, a large portion of broadcasters in radio and TV are taught here. Therefore, no Twang, no drawl or discernible accent, well except for people with accents. Try Boston, or the Bronx, or Brooklyn, Long island and OMG New Jersy if you want accents lmao Y'all just trash proper English there Bever.
