Looks like you guys had a great trip. Nice driving. The defender is doing quite well, and I agree accessories and repairs can be prohibitively expensive and of course you do have to drive it back home and Coffs Harbour is a fair distance from the Barossa area. So, keep doing what you are doing so well.
Nice work lads 👍 Thought Angus was gunna have to hand in his man badge over a leech 😂 2 x 20m extensions, 2 x tree trunk & 2 x snatch block/rings should be your munimum winching gear in each vehicle for tough tracks. Just think of the gear you would need if some ends up on thier side.
Stop letting it roll back so far as you try launch it, hold it with the clutch more as you rev, or heel toe it. You would get up much easier in that gu
@@baronvonaux8294 where's mate, but I had a GU Patrol Ti 4.8 with cams, twin locked,6" lift,37s ect ect before the y62, so dont judge me lol. Also had a td42 Shorty and MQ Patrol. Im not a mall crawler if that's what you think haha
Nice Video guys! I like to watch youre videos. But what is with the Defender? It is nod realy good at the Offroad stuff, but why? Is the driver to skeard to damage somathing at the Defender? From far away and as a Land Rover Defender owner, i would say. The Defender sits to high and it is very top heavy. The tires are to big and engine is te weak. That is destroing the komplet performence of the Defender.
Enjoy seeing you guys out on the tracks but the way you are talking about certain products makes me feel that it is a paid promotion. Is it? UA-cam states: Paid product placements are pieces of content that are created for a third party in exchange for compensation. This content is also where the third party's brand, message or product is integrated directly into the content. If this is occurring then you have a duty to disclose.
@@SIDETRACKED I would think it great if you get paid for what you do but if you meet the following criteria then disclosure to your viewers is required. Paid product placements: Videos created for a company or business in exchange for compensation or free-of-charge products/services. Commissions: Videos featuring a product that result in the creator earning compensation if you buy the product from the video. The commission that creators earn is taken from part of your purchase. I would still value your opinion, honesty and transparency.
That patrol has way too much gear on it, making it no way near as capable as it should be. 4wd with all the fruit will limit the capabilities this seems to be the trend theses days looking cool loading the car with all the heaviest gear, and most of the gear they hardly use. Really no idea fools, only get what important..
The problem is when your are touring and 4 wheeling / camping out of your vehicles with multiple guys and all if thier camera gear what are you supposed to do / what do you leave out / what do you take?
@@Lee-in-oz Well, you don't need two spares for an area not far from a town where you can purchase another if you need to. Different if you are outback.
That's the fine line we tread, and what sets us apart from most, we're travelling thousands of kms to drive difficult tracks. Yeah we could live off cold yams for the week and drive stock vehicles but we enjoy using the gear.

think he made up for it running out the winch 20 odd times... lol
Go the Patrol! 🏞️🛻📹😎🤙
Great video lads.
It's a tough track alright, did it at Easter with a few others...Steve
Top video as always guys. Keep it up. Sorry I have no "expert" advice on what you should and shouldn't be doing. Just keep doing what you do.
Cheers mate!
Not sure of the anwser, those 2 rear tyres cause some weight and balance issues
absolutely! especially 35's.
Love ya work guys… I not into cracking eggs and making omelettes! 😂🤦🏽
Fun times !!
Angus must get a years worth of steps in.
Great vid lads alot of hard yakka but awesome content 🤙🏻
🤙
Angus must be praying for twin diff locks on both vehicles…
Haha
Lockers and Ashcroft gear for the Fender?
Or ditch the 35's! Small engine - small tyres. 33's will suit much better. He still had 2 inches under the diffs, so 33's would still get there.
How did the Ultra winch go?
Not too bad, annoyed that the wireless remote is patchy and it's super noisy. Pulled my ass up a hill all night though!
What model ultra Winch is on that Landy
Mark 2 I believe
@@SIDETRACKED 12000lb? What do you think of it

sometimes that is the go, but not always. Every launch is different. No hard and fast rule here.
Actually may be associated to the locker, the roll back can ensure the locker engages. Very different to driving your fancy Y62.

Yes, scared to do damage, but also modifications are very expensive so there's that holding it back.

We promote a heap of good gear! Hopefully one day we can get paid to do so too!
