Thanks for watching, from all of us at Matt's off-road recovery! - Авто та транспорт
🎉 this one's for the badass grandma that was in the razor accident you are awesome😂 everyone needs a grandma like that❤🙏
The grandma from Napolean Dynamite?
"Look at all this plastic". "Tom". "I didn't do it ". 😄 TomTom is such a great addition to an amazing team. His Engineering degree will come in handy figuring out how to get folks out of messes they've managed to get themselves into. Liz already had a great head on her shoulders and has been absorbing knowledge from Matt. They all work so well together, and thanks to the camera folks that work so hard getting the shots, and the editors. All of you are appreciated. And Matt once thought no one would want to watch him work ❤ GOD bless you all and keep you safe.
Kudos for keeping the land clean and removing a wheel.
In EVERY recovery shown so far that involves the wrecker, it has been readily apparent that you NEED to devise a supplemental support, one which prevents the towed vehicle from running into the lift cables and/or the back of the wrecker.
Maybe put that junk tire to use! (Minus the wheel)
Yeah, Matt needs to fabricate a triangulated tow bar. It surprises me that he still hasn't developed one or thought of it in the first place (developing the heavy wrecker)... ✌✌
@@UncleManuel Won't work on trails
Yeah I'm not an off-road guy, but I'm thinking Matt didn't have a lot of hook & sling experience, otherwise he wouldn't be hooking onto & damaging bumpers like he has in other vids. Another possibility, that might be flexible enough for off-road, is a donkey dong like on the old cradle-snatcher rigs.
This is why almost every other wrecker in the world has a rubber tow cradle that wraps around the bumper/end of the towed vehicle.
That is the coolest Grandma ever! Actually out enjoying the outdoors with her grandkids. Super cool.
Fun recoveries -- good job!
Lizzy: "I should have asked the first time. I didn't, and that was my consequence." Great learning moment!
Yeah, Dad Matt teaches good values and good attitudes. We can all learn.
Lizzy is really coming into her own in this video. It was great seeing her tell Tom how to set up a pull and her confidence as a driver. She’s talented, knowledgable, and experienced.
I was just about to make this comment as well.
All of these Lizzy comments are so creepy. It's so weird and constant under these videos
We get you are all very lonely but you don't need to make endless condescending comments about how "she's really coming into her own!" Like you don't know her at all what are you even saying???
@@Konarcoffee and then there’s people like you 🤦🏿♂️
@@Konarcoffee Actually you're making it creepy suggesting there is more to the comments than simply praise.
1:06
Matt: "All this plastic, Tom. *heavily sighs* "
Tom: "I didn't do it!"
Y'all are brilliant! 🤣
I got a kick from the same part lmao 🤣 😂
I keep thinking there should be some kind of portable foam rubber bumper you can use to protect the back of the wrecker and front of what you tow.
Lizzy drove that pickup out just like the pro that she is. This crew works so well together.
The amount of information and skill that Lizzy has gained shows just how skilled she is, and how good of a job Matt (and everyone else) has done to show her the ins and outs of recovery work. Then add her skills in welding, and she's became a very well rounded out young woman - huge, huge Kudos to you, Lizzy!
You can tell she has a real feel for this, kind of a natural ability.
@Ithecastic Try not do personal attacks. As for the feds and that lying food pyramid is/was a joke! The less processing the better. I went back to butter, joined a dairy co-op to get everything unpasteurized. The health benefits the last 20 years have been a positive family impact for sure. I also hunt, fish and buy sides or quarters off beef and whole pigs. The introduction of a few dozen chickens was a great idea. They help with garden pests etc.
@@ithecastic how mean of you
@@dellingson4833 food pyramid was a joke and so are the four food groups. you know why dairy is a food group? because the dairy counsel created the four food groups. I love dairy but there is NOTHING dairy that you need. no other animal on the planet gets dairy after being weened from the mother.
@Ithecastic and what kind of shape are you in. I'm netting lizzyy could of work rk you any day.
Freaking love Tom man. He is like the comedic safety guy😂
That's great that the kids are hanging with grandma, she's a trooper.
Way to go Lizzie! I am always flabbergasted when people in 4wd vehicles on street tires spin their tires and expect more throttle to do anything. When Lizzie was in the white truck, she didn't dig in and was moving just enough to make progress.
Lizzie "knows a thing or two because she's seen a thing or two."
....and don't spin the tires.....but, but, but....now I'm moving.....a n d ... we're off to the races!!!
This mud was wet enough where she knew that friction was needed. Any drier and she would've just dug herself in. She knew how to read the conditions well.
"knows a thing or two because she's seen a thing or two."
That would make a great insurance company slogan...
She probably has more experience at this point than any random 20 of us.
I absolutely LOVE the confidence that Lizzy is showing on these recoveries now. She's an integral part of the MORR system ( and has been for quite a while now ). Good on ya young lady!!
I can't believe Matt tried to blame Tom for the Razor being plastic. 🤣🤣
Love the willingness to learn and ever increasing confidence of Lizzy!
any video I see where someone picks up garbage I instantly like and comment, gotta show support for those doing gods work. bless up.
High Praise for the camera work and editing. Lizzie's commentary always brightens up the show. The magic of this show is the characters, everything else is ornaments on the tree
I miss T&S 😢
Y'all do great work! Miss seeing Ed. How is he. Saw a quick pic of him with a neck brace on. I pray he is doing well.
Me too, i thought this very thing. I hope he is ok
We have been loving the editing vibe of the videos again so far this year. They have the old feel of the first couple years of the channel when we started watching. We love the detail and time spent showing things and not full of cuts and feeling rushed. We love hearing the classic music clips that were always used before too. It’s not the same without them.
I love how everyone works so well as a team. I wish the people at my job could do that lol
guess your the problem then
Said it before and saying it again .. Absolutely Enjoy every minute of your videos ..
Thank You Matt, Lizzy, Tom and Peanut and All for this Smile on me Dial .
I couldn't agree more! Just a GOOOODDD team!
I appreciate that you take care of the dunes and keeping it clean.
Poor GRANDMA TERRI! "I knew I shouldn't have let those kids drive my razor!" 🤣 She looks like she still had fun though🙃
Aww !!! I don’t know what is more awesome, Grandma for spending time with her grandsons or visa versa. Grandma is sweet though.
This is something I would've done as a teenager. Would've been my fathers truck too. 😂😂😂
😊
Thank you so much Matt for putting up a video here in the middle of the week. There's not much else to watch during the week if not for you. All the best to you and your crew and especially to Lizzy. Love Her!
Obsess over Lizzy more you creep
Matt, as a previous military recovery guy, it seems to me that a little longer boom on the wrecker might resolve a lot of the clearance issues you are having. You have enough front end weight and as long as you don't go crazy long it should still handle the trails fine.
I've thought the same thing. An extendable boom would really be sweet.
And add an old school rubber sling.
probably worth adding a spreader bar as well
@@Zt3v31😊
I want certified as a wrecker recovery, but I did my share in Iraq... having to pick up broken rigs and trying to figure out how to get back inside the wire... was a ton of fun.
MRAPS in holes were fun
I Love watching you guys try to deal with mud. I’m an East coaster.... it’s good for a chuckle watching all those folks learn about mud! I trailered my ATV to Utah and was worried my mud tires wouldn’t be happy out there, but as MERLIN proved with his swampers... we can go anywhere with mud tires...
I feel like you need a fixed pole or two to go from the back of the wrecker to the vehicle bracing it to keep it from swinging into the boom or backend. And then use the boom only to lift the vehicle with the fixed links doing the lateral work. I'm trying to remember where I saw a setup like I am describing. Will link if I find it.
A two wheel offroad dolly is another though I had for your wrecker. Just thinking!
Excellent recoverys guys.....all work performed was amazing.....great team work.....thanks for sharing this with us
Guys, I did heavy off road recovery for various military development testing grounds in the1970’s. We had to recover vehicles with quite severe axle and frame damage. All of our wreckers had fixed and telescopic booms. To stop the lifted vehicle fro hitting the rear of the wrecker we used either a pivoting A bar with one side attached to the hooks and the other to a single pivot on the rear of the wrecker of an adjustable single bar that was damped with a shocker😢. This way the lifted unit cannot run into the wrecker but can still articulate around a single pivot and therefor doesn’t need a driver in the lifted unit.
I do appreciate a good MORR video with the Banna, Wrecker, and Morrvair all doing work and answering calls. Kudos to the editor.
It's time to build the worlds largest offroad flat bed trailer 😎 You know you need it.
It's so cool watching y'all helping folks.
Great job!
Hi Matt and team - another great vid as usual. I have been thinking about your proximity problem since you started using the Heavy Wrecker. Have you thought about a solid stand off bar that fits on your tow pintle and clamps somewhere on the vehicle being towed (eg sway bar, panhard rod etc). The bar would then ensure the towed vehicle doesn't run on into the back of the Wrecker. May not work for all situations but ...
I’ve gotten so busy the over the last couple years. Was around the time y’all started building the Morvair for recovery.
Wow the Chanel has grown so much!!! And so has the team!! The latest rig is so hardcore!! Such an awesome set up!
You all are awesome! Love watching how well everyone works together and you have fun doing it!
Crazy how fast the rock solid ground turns to mud with a little rain
Loving Lizzy! Enough confidence to give advice on the how-to's. You go Girl, Wicked!
Great video Great crew. Also impressed how respectful truly the teens in the jeep were
I think you need to make a bar that can hook to your hitch on one end and somehow universally attach to the towed vehicle on the other. that would help with stabilizing front to rear movement while driving so you don't risk the boom. Maybe something adjustable in length like a pipe within a pipe.
Ya'll are an awesome team learning & growing together that's the true American way well done MORR keeping our country's true grit alive, thank's for sharing God bless ❤😉👍
Lizzie knows her business like no one else. Impressive ability to get that truck unstuck and back it up too the trailer👍👍👍
@Matt - The WLORW needs a boom extension (for lighter loads) designed to be like a letter 'C', so that the outside end arrives at the load pointing more or less directly down. The lines (ropes) would be looped over pulleys that were within two fixed plates, so the lines could never jump off the pulleys. The "Big C" boom extension would perhaps pivot back up for on-boom stowing, or perhaps be removeable. The 'C' only needs to be 2-3 feet to provide clearance. Another option would be a welded assembly that pokes into the end of the existing boom, to extend out and then down as described above.
Kuddos to Tom for being so patient and supportive of Lizzy finding her voice. Tom knew exactly what to do but still listened :)
Everything I agree with except (finding her voice). There are no thin skins at MORR.
yes KUDOS TOM TOM
Lizzie is more experienced at this business than Tom.
Another quality part from Polaris
Great content as usual, I appreciate the effort that goes into making these episodes ... can't help but wonder if anyone picked up the rubbish at the last recovery site !
I love what you do to help people out. There is one thing that I do not like on any show when people are driving, that is, looking at the camera there is no need when you drive just watch the road and stay safe please .stop looking at the camera and the person next to
I'd be curious to know how much the Morrvair weighs. It looks like such a light vehicle (relatively speaking), so I tend to expect another vehicle needed for anchoring when winching out of mud (as we saw in this case). Great recoveries! 👍🙂
5,400 lbs
I was also a bit surprised it wasn't done in the first place, but I guess Matt was thinking of reducing the load on the winch, rather than the 'ground anchor' affect?
@@gordowg1wg145 Both methods reduced the load on the winch. They only difference was anchor weight increased.
@@Person-ly6im
Duh!
Did you actually read, and comprehend, what I wrote?
I'll give you a pass if you had meant to put a "yes", or "I agree" in front of your response, though.
The other reason a snatch block is used as originally done, is to half the winched speed of the vehicle being recovered and so have more control.
With two recovery vehicles, the second anchor can also be placed so the resultant pulls the vehicle to be recovered in a more optimal direction.
@GordoWG1 WG1 I responded to what you wrote at the time. I stand by my response. Now, you are adding reduced winch speed and pull angles to attempt to redeem yourself. Sorry, you failed.
It never fails to amaze me what some folks will try to do, when all the warning signs are saying "don't drive here" or "what you are going to do is a really bad idea"! But it does provide plenty of job security for the MORR crew and entertainment for the rest of us. And perhaps some of us can learn a lesson or two from watching the mistakes of others!
It's been a while since I've watched. The thing that struck me right away was how much Lizzie has grown in confidence and experience. Whereas once Matt was needing to instruct her in every detail, she has so grown into her own ability. Kudos Lizzie, I'd trust you to get me out anytime.
5:36 "like literally learning the ropes" hahaha, why did that just catch me off guard so much haha
Mat what about a rigid towing poll to keep the distance?
Nice job like always on getting them out Y'all ! Thanks for sharing the adventures with us ¡ ✌️❤️🙏
I have been watching you Matt. An old school a frame to keep the towed vehicle at fixed distance from the tow truck.
I keep seeing this and thinking if you had some type of universal fixed (and adjustable bar) sorta like an adjustable 2 inch reese style hitch to hook from the wrecker to the towed vehicle. You could connect it with straps for flexibility...ulitimately to hold the vehicle back. I donno...just sorta thinking out loud. lol love the videos. great job as always.
HEY! Good MORRning everybody and thumbs UP to Matt and crew! 👍👀
Looking forward to seeing the keep-away you're going to build for the back of the wrecker.
Longtime fan, never commented before. Everything you said about media is so true, and needs to be understood. I work in media, and plan to share this at work
Hey Matt, I've been watching your channel for quite some time now and I truly love the wrecker though! 🎉 Im from South Africa and I wish I could join the team even if it's for 1 hour, it seems like so much fun. 1 suggestion I have on the wrecker is to put some kind of A-frame at the back, maybe it will be more stable and won't need breaking from the rear vehicle. I'll keep on watching your channel because it makes me warm in my heart. Love you guys! ❤
I’m sure it’s been suggested, but if not….a wheel lift on the wrecker would make things a little easier. Awesome stuff Matt!
Totally. They need more stability from the towed vehicle.
Good morning morr family!!!
16:08, I usually try not to be the whole safety guy but whoever was on the camera moved right next to the most dangerous point on that recovery. I am pretty sure everyone saw what happened when that soft shackle broke at the wrecker games, even if that was just because the shackle was damaged by the truck flip it just shows how possible that kind of accident can be when even the most experiences offroad recovery guys are running the gear. Great video, would just hate to see someone on the crew get smacked out by one of those recovery rings for a shot.
Matt, not sure how many people have said this but the boom on the wrecker needs to be 18-24” longer. That will help with clearance and control. Good work on all the videos and success!
Great work y'all! Have you thought about designing some sort of carrier for the back of the wrecker to complement the boom and prevent vehicles from swaying and getting to close?
I love how grandma said... I knew I shouldn't let those kids drive my razor.😅
I’m sure she loved it
Matt & Cie are the BEST crew on the planet....!Keep up the amazing job! Cheers from Montreal!
So glad to see proper recovery points being used💪🏼
Good morning, Matt and crew,,,
I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!!
Blessed to watch such a pleasant group of folks!!!
Thanks for the consistent, great content!
Lizzy .... did you win your belt buckle and if so ,, what events?
Love to you all always ❤️
God bless
Bet she did... Got a feeling she and her hubby are all kinds of active together
To stop stuff hitting the back of the wrecker build an a frame that slides into your outside receiver hitches and then make attachments for the other end to go into a receiver For vehicles with receivers and a way to attach that point to recovery points you could also build a tire holder to press against bumpers Softly. You can make it pivot up and down so that is still hanging off the Rope and while driving you can use it to hold the boom up so the weight is not on the rope while driving
pop that old tire off the rim and hang it on the boom, next time you have a close tow, use it in between your pintle and the vehicle..... better than nothing, cheap, and a good bumper..... plus pool will ask why there is a tire hanging from your boom all the time! Thanks yall, awesome content as usual.....
Looking forward to the next build; worlds largest offroad rollback with a corvair truck cab (hmm...a rampside rollback). Too bad no one has an extra double cab truck laying around.
Hy Matt’s, super video.
Love Mud and offroad 😍.
Lizzy certainly has some very good driving skills, especially considering how young she is. Well done all around, I always enjoy the mud recoveries.
Omg! LOVE the grandma!! “I knew I shouldn’t have let them kids drive my RZR.” 😂😂😂
Matt what do you think of padded cable sleeves (open with velcro or something so they can go on and off). When you tighten up something like that Razor just put them on just before you get tight against that fiberglass. Those are pretty light, as long as it is a good pad that has some substance to it, it should spread the pressure enough to prevent damage. The best thing about this idea, is it is cheap, you can make the sleeves from Denim and dense foam and some velcro and a sewing machine. Maybe some carbon fiber matting or similar kevlar or something lining thrown in there to prevent the cable from wearing a hole.
Love seeing Lizzy taking lead. She’s the best!
Wednesday morning tradition, watching the new video!
Some sort of adjustable standoff bar with loops to put soft shackles through might be handy
You should build like a small axle brace that mounts into the two pintle hitches on the back, and then mounts to the axle of the utv’s and atv’s like that to keep it from rocking back and forth! That would help with that issue lots! :)
Hey Matt! Suggestion, build the boom to extend to avoid contact with hanging vehicle.😊 Love the vids
Don’t advise Matt he knows it all! Builds a boom that does not extend Id10t
Also, kudos to Lizzie for being so happy looking and positive all the time. It sure would be hard to have a bad day with Lizzie around. I'm glad she's part of the team, she adds her own type of fun to the mix and I do enjoy seeing her on your videos! Also, she's a great welder so that's a HUGE bonus.
Plus, she has something that's hard to find these days, especially in her (ours, as I'm roughly her age) generation, and that's common sense! It seems like you only need to ask her one time and she knows exactly what to do and how to do it, and that's very hard to find in a good work hand.
So keep up the great work Lizzie, you're a real catch girl!
16:06 - FINALLY you guys are using a recovery hitch after all these years instead of risking it using the ball. Thank you.
Brave cameraman get close up shots while winching!!!! Love his job!!!!
Awesome job Lizzy and Tom and everyone teamwork making the dreamwork, have a good week and count your blessings amen.
Great video!! Lizzy and Matt do fine work!! Matt proved once again that leverage is a good thing!!
I have a solution for your problem of the towed vehicle hitting the boom.
Create (cause you guys are great at that) a solid bar, maybe an A-Frame or H-Frame that attaches from the back of the wrecker to the towed vehicle with an integrated shock absorber or two that will stop the towed vehicle from swinging into the boom. Incorporate rubber backed padding to cushion the horrible plastic parts as well. A simple tow strap that you currently use would still work independently for pulling the vehicle.
I'm sure you'd come up with something much better than my poor description of this, but that's the concept. :)
Once again I think you need a set of shock absorbing stiff arms. I think you could even make them attach to the wrecker in those two outer hutch sockets you put on the wrecker
Hi!!
Lizzy is one heck of a driver and employee. Pay her all the moneys.
Matt, you need to invent a telescoping triangulated stabilizer bar that connects to the wrecker's hitch, and has loops for short chains or soft shackles to connect it to lower control arms or frame holes of the vehicle being recovered. The telescoping feature would allow you to set the length, and therefore the distance the vehicle follows the wrecker at. You could include a swivel lunar ring hitch to use your pintle hook on the wrecker and not restrict articulation of the towed vehicle independently of the wrecker.
You guys are just nice people love this channel.
Never a doubt on any of those recoveries. When is Lizzy getting her own vehicle? She’s ready!
Matt and Jaymie said they were going to build a rig for Lizzy.....but they didn't say when.
Lizzy has grown so much in this business and her abilities to know what to do are amazing. Why not mount something soft on the back of wrecker to absorb the vehicles that swing during the haul
based on some of the recent wrecker videos, it seems you guys would benefit from a slightly longer boom so as to push the dead vehicle a little farther from the wrecker.
You could make a receiver extension to put in the razer so when you lift it , it clears it's fenders . Make it tee shaped with hooking points to the sides and center and all so a chain on each side to hook to axel that is broken .
I always amazed at the knowledge lizzy has gained in a short while. I think Tom is too. 😅 great job ya'll. I love that Tennessee got a mention too.
Lizzy's husband is a musician who i think lives in Tennessee if i'm not mistaken. She might end up there someday. That would be great for her, but a sad day for us.
Good Morning from Canada!
Lizzie is back!! Keep having her make a guest appearance every 20-30 videos and I'll keep watching all of them just on the off chance.....
You all do a great job. Keep em coming! I don't watch much tv anymore, just MORR on YT!!
Matt it was really cool to meet you thanks for taking the time for your fans.
Great video as always, love watching Lizzy do her thing and being so positive about her job all the time. Matt and Tom always talk things out, be careful out there in all that muddy areas. ❤❤❤.
💯 agree on that some times I ack myself why would someone would drive get stuck ?😊
