Really appreciate your insight. I think this is the gravel bike for me riding in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. You break it out in a very clear, concise style. And recognize you are an IPA fan!
Thank you for the thoughtful breakdown. I especially appreciate your notes on sizing, as I am about the same height and inseam. It has helped me in my decision making. Thank you!
I have the same topstone 1 and I totally agree on the braking. I also have an Ibis Hakka with SRAM Rival and the braking is garbage compared to the GRX.
I think the problem with the stock saddle is it’s the ‘radius’ model which is designed for upright bikes. Really don’t know why it isn’t the shallow or flat version of the same saddle which would be more appropriate for this bike
Your video help me make the decision to buy it. For any terrain less than a mountain bike, it's a great all-a-rounder, yet it's nearly as good as my CAAD13 105 on tarmac. The Shimano GRX 810 drivetrain is better than 105's and far more versatile on mixed terrain. Don't like the color.
I have been thinking about getting a Caad 13. Problem out of stock. Have been considering the Topstone or the Trek Checkpoint. I am currently commuting on a Cannondale Quick 4. It is all right, a bit slow. Question. If you had to pick a commuter, would you go with the Topstone or the Caad 13? Since you have both, you are probably an expert on this question. I can average 13 to 15 miles an hour on the Quick 4. Hoping to hit 20. We have Topstone bikes in stock at University Bicycle Center.

Grx is awesome and I am really liking the shifting for road riding. Gaps are a little close for technical terrain but I am really enjoying it
Great video - helped me choose!

Is this model available in neon-yellow color?
Great video! Thanks
Thanks. Very useful. Will a slick tyre on the original 37 wheels be equivalant to a road bike?
This bike definitely feels more like a road bike than anything else
