Best channel on UA-cam, So happy I found you 6 months ago when I had covid. Its so cool that all of this stuff you do is on your doorstep and you can just go out and do it!. I know there is plenty of History in London, I just can't be bothered to do it haha.. especially when it is cold, wet and windy most of the time.
So cool. I'm in England, and he did one in my hometown a stone's throw from my flat. Now, there's another one close by to where I live now too. I suspect he lives not that far away from where I live now. We also have something like the Angel's Flight in my hometown. It's called "The Leas Lift". Side note: I'm going through a really tough time right now. Little cheers me up. I'm chronically ill and disabled, life can be very isolating. I love travel and explore, but I can't anymore. Thank you so much for doing what you do. It helps.
I had learned about banks while watching the BBC’s satirical series, ‘The Windsors’, when Eugenia is hired by an art gallery and she thinks a spray painted penis is a Banksy. That led me down a rabbit hole and learned all aboutBanksy. I found it absolutely fascinating. Thank you for this great tour.
Great video, I have seen many of his pieces in the U.K , Paris , NyC.Palestine ,Italy :) I Think there is another Banksy preserved behind plexi glass at 9930 Santa Monica blvd, Beverly Hills:)
Recently started watching with my girlfriend...and I must say I absolutely love your presence and vibe great material and labor of love for you guys...very cool level of showmanship the way you host ..keep on haunting the scene ...much love 🦇
That park has been closed to the public for over 10 years now it’s actually been in talks about building more there but still trying to figure out whether to keep it a park or not. They filmed 500 days of summer at that park one of my faves! They also filmed at the Bradbury !
As a fellow 'Burgh native, was wondering if you were going to mention either of the inclines . The top of Mt. Washington and popping out of the Ft. Pitt tunnel are not to be missed, for sure. How cool you guys got to see a Banksy. It's great someone thought to preserve it.
Hey there, I was the guy who interrupted you while making this video walking down Broadway under The Orpheum. I am super sorry for interrupting the video just wanted to say how big of a fan I am! Love your videos man keep it up!!
I am so glad I found y’alls Channel! I cannot adequately express my humble gratitude for your sharing these amazing excursions with me! Thank You both 😊
Very Cool. I was born in Hemet,CA and moved to Texas when I was 18. Seeing all these vlogs in CA makes me reminisce about my childhood. Thanks for these awesome tidbits of history 🤓
I'm pretty sure that overgrown park is from 500 Days of Summer where they sit on that middle bench together. If you look up a photo you can see the darker brown rectangle building in the distance just like in your shot. Last I was there the park had been already been closed for years.
Banksy's real name is Robin Gunningham. He's a street artist and activist who originally went by the name Robin Banks, and then he took on the more famously known alias, Banksy.
I don't normally think of this as a positive, but on Angel's Flight, imagine all the people that have sat right there through the years. Young and old, celebrities and street urchins, tourists and politicians, you name it.
Banksy is everywhere his great art work are fabulous The modern era of artwork it hits home From depression feeling art from and how people really feel for society today
I'm in north London,we had banksy on our wall and youth destroyed it,so our local council cleaned it up a bit and covered it in plastic, but some head set the plastic on a fire, people used to come and take photo's but the side off the shop it was on is a alley full of pee and a destroyed piece of art...lovely
Ayyyy being from Bristol in the uk myself like Banksy and seeing his work on the daily it's really cool to see people who aren't so use to it talking about it especially you guys
So, Grimmlife. I was having a hard day the other day. You know those days when your microwave dies, the people who deliver don't follow directions, your perishables are outside spoiling because you are using a walker and can't get down the stairs to them, you need a redelivery and it will take hours and the shopping app says so many different things so you don't know WHEN you will get things? Yeah. I was having one of THOSE days. And I thought. " What can I do to destress"? Grimm! It released the tension. Thank you for that.
Now that was fun. ☺️. The trolly ride I never rode that. And I have lived in so cal most of my growing up. Hmm. I guess now when I visit family I'm going to give it a go. Thanks for the video. Till the next one❤️🎃
Great video yet again guys, thanks! Love the Angel Flight. Looks very similar to the one we have at Scarborough here in the UK, although I think the Scarborough cliff tram is a little older and shorter than the Angel flight. Much better looking than the metal escalators don't you think? Thanks again guys!
Love Banksy's Stencil Style artwork, Grimm Life Collectiv! J.F. Sebastian's crib was in the Bradbury; atop which was where Roy Batty's (Rutger Hauer) plaintive Tears in the Rain soliloquy was intoned. Your imagination is vast, & infinitely cool - That's the source of Your Outré Films, the seemingly endless Video Travelogue of interesting, & informative materials. You two Goth Rock, & Roll (rocking & reeling, in Auckland New Zealand)!
Thanks again for all you two do by exploring these gems and sharing with us .so I have a question who's voice is that singing you're intro for grimmlife collective? Happy Halloween.
Awesome video, I like learning what Micheal shows us and talks about. The girl on the swing art was really good. Did you guys see The Batman?? It was creatively done, and they tried their best but my favourite Batman was Christian Bale. I’m looking forward to see Morbius with super talented Jared ! I loved him in ‘The little things’ with Denzel Washington- fabulous thriller/ mystery- loved the tricky unanswered ending, I still don’t know who the killer was.💐
Enjoyed this, thanks for sharing. Never heard of that Angel Flight, but it looks good. I'd do it if I went back to LA. Interesting you pointed out that information thing about the Bradbury Building, as I thought of the same thing in Rome. In Rome, there are many signs with information on famous films shot at a particular place. I usually try to get a shot of them when I see them.
I was photographing right at the stairs inside you showed, just doing an engagement session and even for just the couple's personal use they asked us to stop immediately wah wah
HA!... a little known fact: in 2008 I had a Flickr account (and still do) where I would post my weird beat-nik art on, well one day a strange guy started posting the some of the funniest words on my site's thread, and his name was Banksy.... He never had a pictures of himself because of the nature of his work, but I liked what he did, and I would post on his Flickr site threads... I later learned who he was... My small little brush with greatness.... Great, episode GriMMs--- thanks, for taking us along, again.... :^)""""""""""""""
I didn’t know about Banksy until today. Thank you! Keep on with the street art! I have never attempted murals, or street art; but I’ve always wanted to, and love admiring what these incredible artists do!
The Park at 11:26 in the videos is the Park where they filmed 500 days of Summer. It's closed to the public but I am not sure why they closed it. I haven't found a real answer
Another wonderful fun Grimm Adventure, that weather in LA is making me jealous! Amazing street art, thank you both for taking us with you. Happy Halloween
Hi, i’m big fan of your work. You dig to the end to find details of any location. I would like to suggest a video. The location of the video clips under the bridge RHCP and the cemetery location for November Rain GnR. I’ve tried to research but what i found it was vague and uncompromised information. But I’m sure both were recorded in LA. Thanks !
I’m from Bristol, England (City where he’s from) and his art is scattered around the city, there’s a great tour you should do if you ever come to England.
Norfolk, UK boy here. We were lucky enough to have Banksy do a bunch of new overnight pieces here in Norfolk last year. Look em up if you don't know them already, Lowestoft, Kings Lynn, Cromer, Great Yarmouth, Gorleston. Check em out. The Great British Staycation.
Oh, that would have sooo disappointed me about the Bradbury Building. I heard that they changed that big old historical cafeteria building with the tree in it (CLIFTON's!) into some kind of venue space. :( It is awesome that you got to ride Angels' Flight. Seems like that is always down too because someone messed it up or it has to be fixed or something. You were lucky!
I saw the Banksy in Port Talbot .... And well Hmmm its an ok Stencil Job lol ..... Quite a hype i suppose, more interested in the Bradbury myself , love the Architecture and huge BR Fan , thanks for the vid
Tha Bradbury was ahead of it's time a very appropriate location for a movie such as Blade Runner. One notices the natural ight from the opaque glass window ceiling it's a modern design
He’s forever my favorite street artist, I saw a video of some women bought one of his pieces on the streets and it turns out it was real. Around Christmas time I was walking to church in NYC and saw someone selling his “stuff” idk if it was real but yes I did get one 😬 I also went to one of his showing
Happy Halloween 🎃🧡! The Bradbury building was also used in the new Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake video, "Say Something." Just another tidbit of information. Thank you for showing us all the awesome places in your neighborhood. Fangtastic video! TTFN 😃
HEY, MICHAEL AND JESSICA WHAT'S UP !! YEAH, I've seen quite A few of his Art pieces By people who have Taken pic's of his work Before they were Painted over or Destroyed by who knows who And that Railway Is short be really cool OK Guy's take care stay safe and will see you on the next video project
I think I might have to try taking a ride on angels flight, I always ignore it and think of it as a novelty but I do really like things that have older style especially from the 40’s and 50’s
The history of the Bradbury Building is unique and amazing on its own. You’ll have to go to Clifton’s at some point. Funny how cleaned up and gentrified it all is now. Check out the Brewery Lofts off Main. Was a great place to live in 90’s early 2000’s. Happy so many people have found dtla but not too long ago was a place you could have great loft spaces surrounded by artists
worked there on and off a lot of stories yo those old buildings have only a couple people left on Earth that know how to fix a lot of that old stuff in there, pretty wild man
Thanks for the tour Michael! It's really been a dream of mine to go to L.A. and Hollywood, never been. I may or may not get there one day but it's awesome seeing so much through your eyes! Jessica your looking gorgeous girl, as always. Love you both stay safe. 😘😘💕✌️
Omgg you guys went to El Mercado! 🤗i grew up going there to eat with my family, they sell the best tacos that are huge! and seeing that railroad 🛤 gives me such nostalgia being there as a kid. Great video guys 😍
*Fun Fact from the Facts Machine*
Grimmlifecollective has been seeking adventure and visiting locations from all over the USA for over 10 years now!
Banksy has been one of my favorite artists along with Storm Thorgerson. My fav Banksy artwork is definitely "Snow"

That Angel Flight looks so fun!. I love anything Train related.

Loved the old train ride ! Beautiful piece of history... you guys are so lucky !

That Angels fligyis like the Duquesne incline in Pittsburgh. It’s on a pulley system
I just saw you guys are coming to Horrorhound!!!!! Cannot wait to meetya!
I found your channel recently and I have really been enjoying it. I love watching your adventures in California.
Hey there, I was the guy who interrupted you while making this video walking down Broadway under The Orpheum. I am super sorry for interrupting the video just wanted to say how big of a fan I am! Love your videos man keep it up!!
No worries man. Or sorry needed. Caught us way off guard lol. Next time you see us stick around and say hello
500 Days of Summer was filmed at that park!
The people who can do this kind of artwork have a very creative mind and great talent. Well done showing us these "works" and the eclectic tour.
I'm pretty sure that overgrown park is from 500 Days of Summer where they sit on that middle bench together. If you look up a photo you can see the darker brown rectangle building in the distance just like in your shot. Last I was there the park had been already been closed for years.
Thanks kids!!! I love your channel.
Banksy's real name is Robin Gunningham. He's a street artist and activist who originally went by the name Robin Banks, and then he took on the more famously known alias, Banksy.
Blade Runner is probably my favorite movie
I don't normally think of this as a positive, but on Angel's Flight, imagine all the people that have sat right there through the years. Young and old, celebrities and street urchins, tourists and politicians, you name it.
Seen you two at Villains Nite. Didn’t want to bother you two but I got so excited to see my favorite UA-camrs. 🍻
I really like your videos of LA. I'll keep those places in mind whenever I eventually come to visit .
Me to :)
Never heard of Banksy, but it's wonderful that he's recognized in this video. Well done video

Great comment mate nailed it!

Thank you for sharing.

Another great vid thank ya!!! Hope some day to visit L.A never been. Jessica's hair rocks!!
Excellent as always. I’m in the UK and I’ve seen Banksy street art in his home town of Bristol.. amazing.
Another great vlog

🌹Love every vlog and I am always impressed by you both. Thank you. ~Love&Light♥️Carli
Thanks so much for the Angels Flight sequence. I won't be able to experience in person. This is the next best thing.🥰
banksy put the girl swinging from the "scarlet letter" A
Great video yet again guys, thanks! Love the Angel Flight. Looks very similar to the one we have at Scarborough here in the UK, although I think the Scarborough cliff tram is a little older and shorter than the Angel flight. Much better looking than the metal escalators don't you think? Thanks again guys!
I was at Banksy’s first LA art show! He painted a real elephant and it was in a sweltering hot warehouse downtown back in 2006 😎
So cool !!!! LA is amazing!!!! Nice weather and seams there is always stuff to do !!!!
Another very cool video
Love Bansky. Such a simple, yet complex form of art and fame without the fame.✌💜
Love Banksy's Stencil Style artwork,
Grimm Life Collectiv!

At 3:44 that's probably the best of all of them.
I live in Lowestoft, most easterly town in the UK and home to a few Banksys when he did a 'spraycation' here last year 💕
Thanks again for all you two do by exploring these gems and sharing with us .so I have a question who's voice is that singing you're intro for grimmlife collective? Happy Halloween.

Graffiti HAS “special meaning.”
I was photographing right at the stairs inside you showed, just doing an engagement session and even for just the couple's personal use they asked us to stop immediately wah wah
Yeah, they don’t take too kindly to cameras unless you pay
Awesome 😎
This was really cool! LOVED SEEING THE BANKSY! Had no idea that train even existed!🎃🎃🎃🎃

This was fabulous! So many of the Banksy Murals get taken down by the building owners here in the Uk to sell!
I would so love to stand and look at that Banksy omfg you two are so lucky 🍀
I like the little train 🚞
I didn’t know about Banksy until today. Thank you! Keep on with the street art! I have never attempted murals, or street art; but I’ve always wanted to, and love admiring what these incredible artists do!
Michael, you have a good lecture voice. It makes me think.
that building is so cool been long time i watch the blade runing also that short train ride ty for video
Thanks for another interesting video. I have learned so much from watching your shows and they are so much fun, too! Keep it spooky!
The Park at 11:26 in the videos is the Park where they filmed 500 days of Summer. It's closed to the public but I am not sure why they closed it. I haven't found a real answer
Pure genius!!..thanks for your hard work both of you 💯
Just under Jessica was 500 days of summer. And behind where your on the top is where they blew up the golden ball for fight club
Check up on the trolley in Hastings England it's as steep as this one and really old too great video as always ♥️👍
Funny...the day after I saw this video, there was a news segment that said there was going to be display of Banksy's art in Minneapolis.
Another wonderful fun Grimm Adventure, that weather in LA is making me jealous! Amazing street art, thank you both for taking us with you. Happy Halloween

Crazy to think anyone would intentionally destroy a Bansky. Effort should be expended to preserve and protect them all.

Back in the early 60s when I was a kid I would ride Angels Flight every Saturday for 5 cents it was the highlight of my week.

If you ever come to England we have a similar thing to angels flight in
Southend-on-Sea Essex, plus the longest pleasure pier in the world 😀

It really was nice…even just doing it once was a nice ride down through history. Do it.
The Angels Flight was part of the new Perry Mason tv show!

Robert Del Naja from massive attack is Banksy, I seen him myself when he did the artwork in port Talbot South Wales 🏴
I will tell Rob you said "Hello".
