Really great timing. Just working through a 2000 Ducati Monster 750 that's been sitting for 7+ years. Thank you!
Super super helpful. Just got a 2001 Monster 750 and i was worried about maintaining the carbs. Thank you
Glad it was helpful for you!
This was really helpful thanks
What’s the factory air fuel mix screw turns on those carbs ?
THX Handy-Mann for the tuto. How long does it take for the whole removal/installation operation?
Oh I'd say probably 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on how much you piddle around haha
nice video - thanks! I have plans to install the same K&N air filters but noticed your looks like they were pushed downward, as if the tank pushed then down. would the straight K&N pods fit better or will I need to order the angled ones? also, did you or someone cut down the airbox so you can still use the battery tray? thanks in advance!
I actually purchased the bike with the airbox already cut, so I can't give any advise there. It does kinda seem like my air filters get squished, so I'd be curious if the angled pods wouldn't have that issue.
Thanks Handy Mann! Are your K&N’s straight or angled?
@@MrMountaincycle they're straight
1999 750 ss starts idles . upon given throttle it studders around 3500 rpm. how do i trouble shoot
Bro same issue, what did you do
What was the problem? Did u get it running? What's it doing. Im having a problem
It was backfiring and running really rich so I replaced the jets in the carb to run leaner, but it didn't work and it all occasionally will backfire.
Terrible.. u had the carb upside down with the diaphragms still in. If gas gets on them, its will eat the diaphragm and ruin them. Wouldnt be surprised if they later got torn from getting deteriorated from the gas.. 🤦🏻♂️
Does the carb vent hose go to the vent on the bottom of the gas tank?
No, none of the hoses from the carbs go to the gas tank, other then the gas line.
Can you tell me where the carb vent goes? Does it just run down to the bottom of the bike?
