Thanks so much for watching this awesome hike to Rattlesnake Arches! If you are looking to explore the Colorado National Monument, check my video: ua-cam.com/video/dA8LGEZSG24/v-deo.html
Great job!! I really enjoyed this video. Beautiful scenery, informative, and this one even had me laughing a few times too. Narrated part is just gorgeous.
A beautiful outdoor adventure you guys had out there Jeanie! The views up there are incredible. I really had a good time following you out there. Stay safe and happy trails, Mario
I just posted...and it disappeared. Hi from Ouray! Thank you for this one! It is relatively close...and I have always wanted to do it. I just drove thru Grand Junction, returning home from Dinosaur National Monument, and it was 96 degrees. I think I will wait to do this one until the fall or winter. My long hair German shepherd hiking buddy...and wife, will appreciate that! About 3 weeks ago, I hiked in the Dominguez- Escalante Conservation Area by Delt, CO. I highly recommend that area too. It is like Moab, but without the millions of people. I did the Big Dominguez Canyon hike on Alltrails. At about the 3.6 mile mark, you will start hitting various petroglyphs. And....the creek was running there! Safe travels!
The name is for Rattlesnake Canyon. The canyon is not named for its rattlesnakes (which I've never seen there--although I'm certain there are some). The name is for the large rattlesnake pictograph on the large rock at the outlet of the canyon where it empties into the Colorado River. Hike to the bottom and check it out--or float/raft the river to the canyon, check out the pictograph and then hike up to the arches.
Thank you!! The hat is from Tentree.com however i just looked and it's no longer on their website ;( i bought it this past spring. And yes! Rattlesnake reminds me so much of Moab! Love that area! Thanks for watching!

Yes, spring, fall and winter is when we like to hike in that area. Way to hot in the summer. Definitely one you'll have to try! Happy Hiking to you!
@@JeanieMarie sounds great. And I meant Delta, CO for the Dominguez-Escalante area
That is also on my list, but the road is the one thing keeping me from visiting it.
I know!! It's definitely a challenge! I'm surprised we made it as far as we did. 🙈
