It’s so cool to see other people’s amazement of the places I grew up around. Really helps me put things back into perspective and appreciate the blessings I’ve had growing up in Colorado. I actually broke my arm in the 6th grade hiking in the Monument. I know you guys get out and see the great things Colorado has to offer but a few of my recommendations would be Glenwood Springs, hike Hanging Lake (go early it gets packed) and after go to Iron Mountain Hot Springs, also check out Aspen/Maroon Bells, and Durango/Mesa Verde. A few other small towns I enjoy are Ouray, Steamboat Springs, Pagosa Springs, and Buena Vista.
Wow! Thank you so very much for this! We were born and raised in Minnesota, so everything out here is blowing us away! Not sure what took us so long to move out here. Colorado is gorgeous, I don't know if I'll ever get tied of it... but again, we've only been here 2 months 😆 Thanks again!!
Nice shot of Ephedra plant at 1:24. Also called "Mormon Tea." I had one in my yard in Arizona. Easy to grow in that environment, and a pretty good garden plant.
We are visiting Grand Junction today and I took your advice and we drove the Colorado National Monument after dinner at the Ale House. Dinner was good, but the monument at sunset was AMAZING! Thank you for the suggestion.
Hello Jeanie. Wow I need catch up on about 7 of your vids. I've haven't been to that park. I'll be in CO in couple mos thinking putting that on my list. Hope you two are enjoying your new living and everything is going well.
Oh fantastic! We are LOVING Colorado. Everywhere is a new area to us. We really loved Colorado National Monument, if you are on that side of Colorado, I definitely recommend you stop and check it out when you come. Have so much fun!

Nice Vdo. Could you pls advise- If I would be able to cover both Black Canyon of the Gunnison & Colorado National monument in one day. me, my wife and my 6 yrs son (because of limited time). could you please list down the best view point of both, so that I can simply follow them to cover both place in one day. Please advise. thanks.
Thanks so much for watching! Hitting both in one day would be pretty tough! Each park is so unique and soo many view points! Its probably doable, but you will have to move really fast! As there is 1.5 hour drive between the two. Start really early.
@@JeanieMarie Hope you doing great. I need one more advise-- what type of car I shuould rent-- my plan is to visit- Great sand dunes, Black canyone of the gunnison , colorado monument. since my son and wife will be with me and my first time visit..expecting lot of driving as I will be driving all the way from Estest park ---Maroon bells---gunnison-colo monument and drive back to DEN airport. I drove only Toyota Rav4 suv (limited) in my life and I am used to it. is this Toyota Rav4 is enough to rent for this entire trip or something else? I would appreciate will be great help if you could advise on this please...thanks Habib.

@@JeanieMarie I would also recommend Telluride. It is out of the way, but so beautiful.
@@corynardin Trust me it's on my list -- just like so many other towns I need to get to. I need more time! LOL
BEAUTIFUL 😍 Thanks for sharing. The wildlife was a big bonus.

The two of you remind me so much of my wife and I about ten years ago. Keep adventuring.
Very nice, thank you for sharing.

Have yall rode the Durango and silverton train yet? That’s a bucket list for me when I go to colorado
I liked the views of the mountains, I will be in that area in October for a mountain bike trip.
Some amazing views here! It's stunning! Have such a great trip in October! Enjoy!
Thanks for the video and tips! How long did it take you to do your initial trip through the park with stopping & hiking, etc.
I would say we spent about 6ish hours there! Maybe 7! Have fun!!
@@JeanieMarie thanks so much! I'll be out there next month!!!
