It was nice to meet you that day Karl! And thanks for the shout out to us “couple cool friends from Wisconsin!” We’ve been checking in regularly waiting for the video! Take care Karl!!
Glad you gave warning on the scramble up the first/last arch. That can be a challenge mentality for many. Also good shoes vs cheap shoes make a gigantic difference going up. Love your videos and welcome to GJ.
You should add something about why it's called Rattlesnake Canyon--the rattlesnake pictograph at the canyon outlet to the Colorado River. It's a short OK hike from the arches down to the pictograph and the river, then a nice short float out to a landing and your car.
Nice video as usual. Special thanks for lizard without tail. Unfortunately, you skipped one more arch. At sign Lower Rattlesnake Arches you turn left. But if you turn right you can reach Tower Arch. This is approximately half mile hike (one way).
Thanks 👍, I knew there were others but I was focused on getting the routing good so could climb up the final arch ramp, the class 4 deal. I'm going to get back there for a more complete exploration of the immediate area. Thanks again 👍!
Hello. I love your videos! Great camera work. I would love to know your go to for shoes. Especially on the 14ers. A gear video would be great if you don't already have one
Do NOT let your dog off a leash. I am a native to this area of Colorado and it is aptly named Rattlesnake Arches. I've had a friend lose a dog, another almost lose a dog, and heard of a dozen instances of people loosing dogs to bites.
I missed this, til now, I have been considering a short float to rattlesnake, do the hike and then shuttle from Mcdonald creek for double Petroglyph action! I'm Fruita, you?
Man, I had no idea this channel had that kind of pull! Control over the behavior of THE HORDES!! Not your average flock of adventure tourists. Made my day, thanks 🙏
So Scott, as a privileged elitist, you want to be entitled to scamper all around Colorado Backcountry in your gas guzzling truck whilst the rest of humanity sits at home?? People like you sicken me...
Colorado has been getting ruined by democrats the past two decades. It's a bummer they're all moving to western Colorado since COVID. Getting waaaaay to crowded out here.
@@TheHungaryJack wrong, it just brings in more people that would never discover places like that on their own. The best part of adventure and discovery is finding beautiful and interesting places on your own journey. Social media has ruined so many of these places, he could have easily been very general about describing the place without revealing it. But he chose views and likes instead. Shameful.
Fun fact: Rattlesnake Arches is the most densely packed section of arches found anywhere in the world, including Arches National Park, UT.
Cool factoid, thanks, Karl 👍
As always Karl, a great video. I enjoy arm chair climbing now just watching you.
Hey Ron , we're all getting older, your's truly included LOL! Thanks 👍, Karl
FANTASTIC, my friend 🙂
Appreciate that my good friend 👍!!

Your videos are great, Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Thanks! Always appreciate hearing from you folks out there that are into these types of adventure day trips! Karl 👍

Thanks for pointing that out. That class 4 section is dicey, especially if sandy. Good shoes, as you said are critical! Thanks again 👍, Karl
I always enjoy CO outdoors.
Amen Brother! Thanks again 👍
amazing Karl, like always, I wish I can join you sometime to teach me some of the climbing techniques...
Hey appreciate it!

Right in my backyard too! I'm going to check into that for a possible late fall adventure... thanks for the info

Hey thanks! I put out a gear guide a while back. Check it out.
Rode my SurRon out there in May, then did the arches hike - saw 2 people all day.
Very cool! Not surprised you didn't see any more humans than that...it's a long long hike with no wheels.

Good advice from a native...
Does your reply imply that we live near each other--in GJ? If so, let's share coffee and discuss. Bill

Thanks to videos like yours telling people on social media about places like this, they will be overrun by the hordes and eventually ruined. 😡

Thanks to people like Karl, more people will see and value the incredible beauty of this country
