I wore a dress to JFK airport it was light pink and flowy - a gentlemen stopped me and thanked me for wearing it (as if I was adding beauty to the world). I think about that moment many times.
I am sure it did. Most men in America have gotten used to the frumpy to insane asylum style. Let's not forget those who wear their pajamas in public. 🤦♀️
My friend wore a dress to the grocery store not long ago and she said an older man came up to her and complimented her dress and said “so many women want to be or dress like men now days. Women don’t see how beautiful and amazing it is to be a woman”. I believe when she said that to me it really opened my eyes. I hated feminine clothes before because I didn’t feel comfortable but I’m slowly learning how to be comfortable AND dress feminine
I wear retro dresses all the time to the store and I get compliments from older men all the time. I think they miss how people used to be so put together.
I wear longer shorts, legging style to the knee, a swim skirt, and a swim shirt to the pool. I had an elderly man tell me that he appreciated my modesty.
Sadly my husband was offended that he was looking at me. My husband likes seeing me in more risque items. I tell him that its only for him though.

Oh he would likely love it! I'm 39 and just started wearing skirts and dresses exclusively last year. My husband is very encouraging about it. Never had one bad thing to say about it.

I remember my mom wearing dresses all of the time especially after she started going to church.
I felt like I should reinvent my self after 50. I went to Goodwill and found a lot of pretty skirts. Just to see how I would like it. Now I wear them all of the time.
Not 100% though. When I shop by myself I Wear pants with secure pockets.
Give it a try. Start wearing dresses around the house.

I was a teen in the 80's. Women wore pants, but they wore feminine colors still...every day. Then pop artists like Madonna, Duran Duran, Michael Jackson...so many, were wearing black. Since then, I've seen a radical shift. Women are only wearing hoodies, tees, joggers, jeans, leggings all in shades of black, grey, navy, khaki, brown. Yes!! The very same clothes as men.
So, fast forward to 2023 and we are so desensitized to our own androgyny that if we see a man in a dress on the cover of a magazine, we are not shocked because that man is NOT "stealing" women's clothes at all.
Every time I turn on the news Christians are being accused of hate speech for speaking up about gender. I heard another UA-cam influencer say she switched to all dresses as a way of quietly defending biblical femininity and gender. I thought, "hey! I'm going to do this!" Noone can accuse me of hate speech for wearing dresses every day. But, I may just quietly influence those around me without saying a word.♥️🇨🇦

I agree with you. I’m 48 and have spent most of my life in joggers and jeans. Myself and my 15 yr old daughter have started to see this and this year we’ve made more of an effort to look more feminine. The hardest part is finding dresses and skirts and footwear suitable for the wet, windy and cold weather here in the UK. Thanks for your comment, I’m really encouraged by it. 😊

I was raised wearing Dresses everyday. I did not put on a pair of jeans till I was a junior in high school! I’m am moving back towards the dress wearing.
I remember being in church one time, sitting behind a family with two children. Both mom & dad wore khakis; both mom & dad wore oxford collared, button down shirts; both mom & dad had short haircuts. I could not tell who was mom and who was dad until mom turned around for some reason. So sad. But I think we have all gone through the androgynous brain-washing. The Holy Spirit is at work here, because thousands of women are on this same journey of modesty & femininity. Thank you for sharing your story!

Whenever I wear dresses, my two year old boy always says GASP* “Wow Mama, you look so pretty in that dress” 🥹 that was one of the turning points. Now I have to get some dresses!

I simply put on a flowy shirt the other day and everyone in my family (and the propane delivery man that stopped by) all commented on my outfit that day!
You are well spoken and lovely. I am 52 and I find your words are filled with wisdom. Wisdom is a gift of the Holy Spirit. I teach young girls and preteens in a Christian environment and I can see a shift toward more feminine dressing beginning to happen. Keep sharing your message. Young ladies need to see and hear role models.

Lol young girls abhor this. They feel you're abusive when you talk about who they are, how they should be, when the only thing you've taken time to do is glance at their breasts to notice their gender.
You'll never win the youth of today with this approach.
I loved the story about Margo's little girl. I had a similar experience with the oldest of my 3 daughters. We saw a man dressed in women's clothing while out shopping, and she had questions, so we explained it using Deuteronomy 22:5.
Months later, she noticed me wearing my husband's hoodie on a chilly morning. She asked asked why I was wearing it. I said I was borrowing it and she followed up with "But mommy, isn't that an abomination?"
They really notice everything.

So glad I stumbled across your video. The Lord has had me on a similar journey for several years. Here's a tip for winter. I'm actually warmer in skirts and dresses in winter than I was in pants. By the time I put on a skirt, a slip, maybe some leggings or tights and boots, I'm quite warm in my layers. And feminine, too!

Yeeessss!!!! So much warmer... I don't wear skirts all the time, BUT I LOVE wearing my long skirts in the winter (aka body blankets) 😂
As a 60 year old, I am late coming to enjoy dressing feminine. We can get so caught up in comfort and needing to wear a uniform or dressing to do chores that it’s easy to push our feminine side away. I have been enjoying finding dresses or at least more feminine tops at resale shops, garage sales etc. I really love that there are younger women encouraging this movement!

I wear (cute) 'house dresses' to do chores. What I haven't figured out is modest workout attire-I once heard a pastor state that from a man's point of view, a woman wearing leggings/skinny jeans looks naked, just with a different color skin. That was an eye-opener!!!
At your age? Men won't notice or care. But ok. If being a froofroo girl makes you feel a thing, put on girlish stuff.

Catholic woman here who covers her head for Mass. It occurred to me that I was sending mixed messages by wearing slacks and my chapel veil, so now I always wear a skirt or dress to church. Respecting the Lord's presence demands my entire outfit. 😊 Still a work in progress wearing skirts exclusively at home. I need supportive shoes!(age 69)
I hear you with shoes! I'm 67 and wear a chapel veil. When I wear dresses I still wear my athletic shoes with dresses around home which makes me feel frumpy. I wear very expensive flats with support when I go our. If I have too many errands, I'm in pain and can't wear those type of shoes two days in a row. But I love dresses!!!😊
@@lindaleclair8938Hello, sisters! I’ve been hobbled for years after a bad bout of plantar fasciitis that went to chronic nerve inflammation. Right now I’m wearing Ecco Fluidzone sandals that are even better than Birkenstock’s and look pretty, got them at a sports experts store. I do wear my support shoes for long shopping trips... and just because they are so comfortable...
What I wanted to share is that I joined an exercise program and they are making us do all kinds of extreme excercises for our feet! I was afraid it would make the plantar fasciitis flare up, because it nags at me and still comes and goes after five years. Instead, my feet are better and better!!! We roll a tennis ball under each foot, then stand and press on it hard with the heels, then the toes. Not the arch. Then we have to walk in ( anti slip) socks, on our heels, then, on our toes. Then, like penguins...haha. The course is to increase balance and general form, the teachers are kinesiologists.
I’m so encouraged and hope to start going for long walks again!😅p.s. it’s been three weeks so far.
I broke my foot and became hard to wear skirts. So now I wear long robes over my pants and a feminine blouse and my headcovering. Easier for me to walk. I prefer floor length or midcakf skirts but I had a full knee high walking boot for over a year and so many feet problems and I'm known to trip over my skirts. With pants on under a long robe I can have shorter knee length and have my legs covered. I don't wear leggings or jeans. I need support shoes and I have blisters on the bottoms of my feet I have to tend a need extra cushion. I like moccasins and boots and if I need to I can bandage my feet or wear arch support. I might look silly in boots and pants and my robes and shirt dresses but that's OK. I'm working on wool pants and aprons tgat are cute and I can wear with pants and blouse but like a dress or robe but not.... maybe for summer. I find too if I have leg warmers over my knees and ankles I get better circulation to my feet. I dint have any natural hormones anymore since my 30s after illness and multiple surgeries so I have to be careful to be feminine because overtime with no hormones I don't look as feminine in my face anymore and I don't wear makeup so it is what it is and I'm atleast aware and do my best to wear modest feminine clothes that can function for me too.
I love reading this. I am converting to Catholicism and I wear a veil to Mass. I usually always wear a dress but a few weeks ago I ended up wearing jeans and I felt so awkward. Never again 😅

I found that men treat me more like a lady so to speak when i wear dresses. Gestures like opening the doors for me and other kind gestures. Also im from Canada and the winters get pretty cold here so wearing long skirts and dresses actually protect my legs from frost bite winter winds where as my legs would freeze in pants. Just somethings to think about.

I have been known to wear many many skirts under my dress in the winter lol plus long socks. I might try leggings this winter (under my skirts and dresses, of course).
One time I parked the car, got out, and a man exiting the store saw me exit my car. I was wearing a dress. He waited by the door as I crossed the parking lot, waited until I got to the door, which he held open for me. wow! I was clearly older than he, so it's not like he saw a cute young woman he wanted to meet. We women want to be honored, cherished, and respected- when we dress worthy of this type of treatment, then we receive it!
I was a college athlete but my Dad always encouraged me to wear dresses and particularly on game days! I enjoyed the contrast of being ultra feminine off the court and then a river in the court (my Dad’s words). After marrying, I defaulted to mostly pants, until the 90s when I started making jumpers of many different fabrics. We were living on a little farm and homeschooling our three sons and daughter…I would make matching jumpers for she and I. But as my kids grew up I quit thinking about this subject much and defaulted again to pants, as I was a decorative painter and mostly wore whatever covered me up! Lately though, I’ve been wearing more dresses and I see the stark contrast in the way I’m treated. It makes my husband more protective, others notice my femininity and I can see men treating me differently. The heart of modesty is God’s design for us…we can be feminine in pants and sometimes those are necessary. But most things (not painting!) can be done in a dress, including farming! This is a precious gift, to be a woman. I’m going to be more intentional about buying more functional dresses. It’s fun, beautiful, and easier to embrace the feminine when I’m in a dress

I was a chronic jean wearer in my teens and early 20's, with the exception of church. Ive been very intentional to reverse this in my late 20's. Especially when I go out with my husband. We've been married 6 years, but we find it important to continue "dating". The more feminine the woman acts, the more naturally masculine the man will act. Wearing a dress is a life hack to get your husband to dress nice as well, everyone wins.

Hi! Im a Christian Mom of 2 boys and my head covering journey started last year as well as the conviction to start dressing more feminine. Its a continual process to be set apart may the Lord bless you on this journey. ❤
I personally haven't felt the headcovering conviction yet. But last year I felt the conviction to wear only skirts and dresses and that has been life changing. Maybe the conviction to head cover will come into my life at one point or another but until then, I feel confident that I have done what God has asked of me thus far. It is a journey. I can not say to any one women that they aren't where God wants them to be at that point in their lives because only they and God knows where they should be then. Following the dress conviction has taught me that this past year.
I loved this. Much of my life I have worn dresses because I love how feminine they are. I have often been the oddball. Now I have teen aged young women who also wear dresses about 98% of the time. They are lovely, but it can be hard. They are different from the other girls in their home school group because of it, and it can feel a little lonely. So I told them about what you said about the young lady you went to school with making such an impression on you so it could encourage them. We wear leggings under our dresses in winter, and if we need to disguise the leggings and socks, we wear tall dress boots to look more put together when we go out. So glad this is on someone else's heart out there.

So glad you are encouraging them to dress in a feminine way! I was homeschooled as well and was the only girl wearing only dresses and skirts. I started doing it when I was 16. Some of the girls around me actually appreciated it, even if they didn't wear dresses themselves!

God is surely working, " for" his kingdom truth. His truth is being brought to life!!!!! It is biblical, coming from the first church in the first century . Notice jewish women who come to the western wall, in lsreal are dressed very modetly, even though they are i n judaism? God means what he says, in duet. 25, about women, and men' s apperal. The flesh will fight this, because it does not want to be different . We all have battled, not wanting to be different. But remember, god covered, adam and eve's nakedness. You can wear skirts and dresses in the winter, just wear layers and wear thick leggings underneath. I live in the south so we don't get as cold like the north does but I know Mennonites that live up north and that's how they also do it. I grew up as a tomboy but thank the Lord that He changed my way of thinking over 20yrs ago. I don't want to look like a man nor do I want to do anything or everything a man can do. I love that my husband carries things for me, he carries bags, the laundry basket, etc. I love looking and feeling like a feminine lady. No, wearing dresses doesn't save us but we do need to obey Scriptures and there are plenty of Scriptures that teach us to be modest, meek, etc. We are to not cross dress, etc. We women need to stop apologizing for the Truth that God is showing us because we don't want to offend or make someone upset, then those people need to seek God and pray to see if they are really in the faith. A true believer in Jesus will always want to obey Him and take wisdom and advice from fellow believers. Keep seeking Christ 😊❤

Absolutely! I ski in regular ski pants but put a stretchy skirt over them. It makes it really easy for my kids to spot me on the slopes.
Yes, and my favorite are merino wool leggings when it’s really cold and it’s so much easier to layer with a dress. I will put on a sweater over a dress and it then looks like a skirt/shirt combo.
I have so many scars on my legs😅, plus I have strawberry legs. In highschool, I remember 2 girls who would comment on it. I was in an all girls boarding school and we wore skirts and blouses as uniform. The girls would ask me if I wore dresses at home (because my legs were very...unsightly 😢).
I grew very self conscious so I only wore trousers when I went to the university. I was so happy that I could finally hide my ugly legs. Then one day it was very hot and I only had 1 class in my Uni that day so I decided to show up in a skirt. I got complemented by the men in my class...obvioudly I thought they were mocking me.
Turns out, men do not notice our insecurities...and even when they do, they don't really care...they will still find something to appreciate.
While my legs were riddled with scars, they found something I never noticed- The nice shape and size of my legs 😂.
To someone who would like to wear dresses but you feel insecure coz you think your legs are too skinny, too fat, too short, too long...riddled with scars or stretch marks. Do not be like the 2 girls from my highschool only noticing what is wrong. Be like the dudes in my Uni. Notice what is beautiful. In fact, take it a step further and decide that your scars are beautiful and rock that dress with no apologies. Much love ❤.
As an older woman (59) who was a widow and remarried 2020, my new husband shared with me his love of dresses.
Have now solely worn dresses for three years. Cannot imagine wearing pants (of course there would be exceptions for a specific event where they would be needed) again.
Just celebrating my being female and honoring my husband.

Wow, I am on such a similar journey - the fact that you are focusing on femininity, modesty, natural fibers, and colour palette (and thrifting!) made me smile so wide because I have the exact same mindset! And it is also a fairly recent thing for me. It's encouraging to hear someone else say that curating a wardrobe like this takes time. I have been feeling frustrated and tempted to spend a lot of money to flip my wardrobe more quickly, so it really helped me to hear this, because I want (and need) to be frugal. Great point about fascia, also!
And I would really enjoy and appreciate a video about your wardrobe! I'm keeping "capsule wardrobe" in mind, and "uniform" - especially for when I'm at home. I could absolutely use some modest & feminine inspiration.

I love dresses...I live in them. My grandpa told my Mom that was something he really liked about me because that was how women dressed when he was younger. Women, dresses flatter your beautiful shape no matter your size! You are beautiful!
After 3 years of quarantine and caring for a parent as I wore sweats, I wore dresses all summer! It’s made such a difference for me! I feel better, feminine and healthier (let’s just say your body gets fresh air, exactly where needed).
It is so wonderful to find that my Lord is dealing with young women about dressing more feminine. The book you mentioned, Color Me Beautiful, came out in the 80's. Thank you for your willingness to embrace being and looking like a Godly woman and sharing your journey. I'm going to share this with my daughter and granddaughter.😊

Thank you!! I just discovered your channel. I wear skirts and have done so for almost 50 years, so it is natural for me. In my understanding, when God says that women wearing men's clothing is an abomination to Him, I take Him seriously. For me, dressing femininely is about honoring God with how I present my body. God created two distinct genders and He wants we women to portray that distinction. Thanks again, for sharing this. It is encouraging to hear of young women who are willing to 'present their bodies a living sacrifice.' Blessings!!

Yes, and if it is wrong for men to wear dresses, then it’s wrong for women to wear pants. I don’t ever want to see my son or husband in a dress so 😂 I gave up all my pants. Never looking back. Such a blessing in so many ways.

This is a very interesting video. I am a Christian and so is my husband. We got married a few months ago. I dress very casually, usually the same baggy jeans daily. Finding a bunch of Christian homemaker videos and they were all wearing dresses. Got me thinking. I don’t think I even own a dress but this is something I am going to explore in scripture and through prayer more. Thanks for making this video! Wow, that takes me back 35+ years! I used to have all the fabrics and color palettes to drape people to determine seasons. Haven’t heard people refer to that for a long time! I still can tell people what their best color/seasons, and I still buy mostly in my season.

I appreciate so much how you approach each topic. It’s true that each individual must choose how they dress and I think most will. What’s nice here is that you share what’s behind your choice and what it looks like for you may not look the same for everyone else. As a Grammy now, I’ve seen most of what there is out there and it’s heartbreaking to see what was deemed toddler or baby clothes, I cringe just thinking about it. Color Me Beautiful is so accurate. I have used it for years. Thank you; I wish more young women would embrace dressing feminine. I love it.
I am currently 39 years old and was raised in the late 80's and early 90's. I was a "tomboy". Wore only jeans and t-shirts....joined the Navy at the age of 17. I was told the rate (military job) I was picking was hard foe women by a well intended man and thar just set my nerves to steal so I took up that rate of being a Navy firefighter. Anything that was for a man that challenged a women...I was for it. Meanwhile I now have back, knee and feet problems that I shouldn't have. So I say that to set the stage....I didn't wear dresses. At my wedding a little over 2 years ago I wasn't even comfortable enough then to wear a dress! I could count on one hand how many times I had worn a dress IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! Well in spring of 2021 I had a health scare. I was obese and getting over long covid. My blood work showed fasting glucose of 113, high cholesterol, and (the scariest part) and plummet in my kidney function to an EGFR of 59.1 (borderline chronic kidney disease). I have fibromyalgia and degenerative disk disease in my back. I felt like death warmed over...like my life was already over the hill and the best of it was over. But that medical scare scared me straight. The kidney doc said I was likely fine but my obesity wasn't helping. I was to see my doc again in 6 months to check my kidney function to rule out or diagnose chronic kidney disease. I was on a mission from that day forward. Ate healthy for my kidneys and heart and lost over 40 pounds. All my blood work came back beautifully the next appointment but I wasn't done. I kept losing weight for a total of 70 pounds. Now, even though I had this tough women image I always wanted to be able to be confident in a dress. I thought women who were had a strength to them. I admired it secretly but never thought I could find the courage. I mean I was known for not wearing that stuff. Well I was a Christian my whole life but never baptized. Shortly after that medical scare I was baptized and it changed my life. I felt many convictions...among them was to start wearing only skirts and dresses. This was terrifying! Well since I lost all that Wright I resolved to replace my wardrobe with skirts and dresses. I was so very awkward at first. My family had to adjust too. There is a lot I'd like to say on that but I've said enough as it is. I have come to be very comfortable in skirts and dresses and have worn only that for well over a year now. Some people think I'm being legalistic....they just don't understand. But I will say this, it seems like just about every single day I go out in town with my dresses on someone compliments me. I had a biker dude at a gas station complement me once as he walked in to pay for gas! Nothing weird...just genuine compliments. Why was I so scared to do this???? I do this because I realized I was robbing the world of the beauty of womanhood. I came to understand this. Why can we say that its wrong for me to dress like women but not see that we dress like men? Once I realized my hypocrisy I realized I had to change me to the reflection the image God made me to be. I have two almost grown sons that I prayed for in my youth. I asked God for sons because I had no idea what to do with girls! Today I am 14 weeks pregnant and was praying desperately for a healthy daughter. We had genetics testing done to help us prepare if we were going tohave a baby with disabilities due to my age but gender can be found out with that testing too. My blood work shows we are low risk for all chromosomal abnormalities and IT'S A GIRL. I'm so ready for a girl! I have so much to teach her. So much understanding I didn't have before! I'm so excited. God has recreated me into a women I never saw coming. A women I always admired but never had the guts to be! Why is putting on a different form of fabric so terrifying to some? Especially since all that happened was that people were a bit confused at first but now all I get is compliment! Ladies, do what God calls you to do, no matter how scary it is. God will bless you in His own way. My blessings might not be your blessings and your blessings might not be my blessings but I assure you, you will be blessed for being obedient in whatever it is God calls you to do.

Love your connection here to Marxist ideology as illustrated in fashion! The rise of socialist / Communist ideas has consequences. The ideas on paper or in books feel amazing and resonate with really compassionate people... But study the practical application through history and understand the outcome is usually much more gruesome, violent, and deadly - of those ideologies.
One of the best counters to that culture is to honor and value femininity, to cherish the value of family, by esteeming it, or the revere the presence of God in the Holy Spirit. Expressing these traditional values through fashion will be a powerful visible reminder we are ambassadors of Heaven and Heavenly traditions, embassadors of a leadership beyond man's understanding, beyond human ways. A force above our own selves. To feel an honorable stewardship of humanity itself, not just the environment or climate we exist in ;o)
Be warned, it may enrage those pushing a human-centered ideology cult. If they come at you, just remind them you enjoy the choices available to you here but don't need to be forced or coerced into one of the other, remind them you are capable of choosing your own outfit and what feels good to you, and in the U.S. still, at least officially, free as a citizen under the Constitution, to make your own choices in what to wear. If that enraged them further, back away slowly and distance yourself from that relationship. They have been known to get dangerous around anyone who openly disagrees with their party line ;o)
Amen! Another example: look around at our 'modern' architecture, you will see boxy ugliness. No one stands in front of one of our newest buildings to take engagement or senior pictures. Across the street is a vintage building façade, preserved as a monument; when I drive by, I constantly see people using it as a backdrop for all sorts of pictures. The 'modern', Marxist-influenced architecture is hideous!
Yes, show us your wardrobe! I have noticed your cute cotton summer dresses in your videos. I love wearing dresses and skirts, but need more for working at home, so I'd love to see more of what you wear. I recently got rid of my flannel shirts and other clothes that might look more like my husband's - after reading this book: Fascinating Womanhood by Helen Andelin. It's a fantastic book, but it's old - so you have to look for it used. Also - I remember my mother having that book Color Me Beautiful, when I was younger!

I enjoyed the Fascinating Womanhood book as a young married woman and have re-read it over the years. Anyone looking for this book should get a copy of the original. There is a later version that eliminated a lot of the biblical references.

A couple years ago I gradually started to wear more dresses and now it's what I wear all of the time. You would be surprised how many men have told me they appreciate my style not in a flirty, aggressive way but actually in a respectful and sincere tone. They find it refreshing and beautiful to see women dressed like women. When I go out in public, my husband always notices how much I stand out. Some people even wonder if we're in a weird cult when we're just protestants lol But the way we dress is a great way to show that we are in the world but not of it. :)

There are a few modest clothing companies that may be helpful to you. The Inherit Co, and The Modest Fitting. There are simple easy to sew dress patterns at Joann's or Hobby Lobby. And you can almost always find good stuff at thrift stores. I have worn skirts and dresses my entire life, and in the winter you can wear heavier fabrics with leggings underneath. I love the fleecelined leggings! 😊
I never knew what androgyny meant. I LOVE wearing dresses spring through summer. In the winter though it's too cold for me so I wear pants with pretty shirts. Sometimes shorter (knee length) dresses with leggings. In the garden I wear dresses if I'm not working super hard. If I'm working outdoors or painting indoor I'm in pants.

Hi Kelli, I am 27 and started my modesty & dressing femininely journey of March this year. So many similarities and things to relate to. After a few months of dressing in skirts and dresses I wore jeans and a tshirt (on a day I wasn't feeling well) and my son - who is 3 - asked me why I was wearing his dads clothes... what we wear sends a big message especially to our children.

Your message is right on time! I grew up in the 60’s and saw the transition. I moved to a small town and it was a shock to see mature women in church wearing shorts. But on the other extreme, last summer we joined some friends traveling in separate RVs. My friend wore the most beautiful dresses almost every day! Those extreme examples of dressing caused me think about our image we presented in our choice of clothing. I am sewing dresses for myself!

I had a similar experience when I decided to grow my hair out from a “pixie” super short style! Felling more feminine was a very unexpected result… more dresses/ skirts now also! 🦋🌹🎶
This is so encouraging and challenging for me. I have such a similar story, I am the queen of athletic clothes! Over the past year I’ve tried to incorporate more dresses but I feel so awkward. I only wear them at home because I live in a small town and didn’t want to answer all the questions from family / friends. I relate to this so much! I think moving to a new place last year really helped me with being able to "start over" with how I dress. So I totally understand where you're at! And yes, I'll share what I have and how I wear them, hopefully this week!
The first time I wore a skirt at home and my in laws came over was ridiculous. I heard them pull into the driveway and PANICED. I have a bedroom door that leads to the upstairs hallway that locks from the inside and a bedroom door that leads into the kitchen. I ran to the hallway door and it was locked! I wanted to change before they saw me! So I ran completely through the house to my other door and threw on my old clothes. I realized how ridiculous I was being and thought, "okay, this has to stop". I think it was a couple Sundays later I wore a dress to church for the first time and faced the music. Haven't looked back since. Sometimes we just have to walk into the storm to learn that we can weather it.
Hi Kelli, love your videos. I just happened to come across them. I agree with you in many things. I love this segment about wearing dresses or skirts as I am a jeans and T shirt kind of gal. It stirs my heart to wanting to wear dresses and being more feminine. I'm going shopping which is always fun, well sometimes.
Minute 17. I was completely there this year and convicted so much but we are low income. I saw my stepmom in a wrap style apron and she looked great and also a random lady in the grocery store so I made it my goal to recycle old sheets and curtains into aprons to wear over my other clothes. Cheap and easy way to cover and "dress" while recycling.

I love this! I have been on this path also. I am a former athlete and never loved dresses. The hardest thing is finding dresses that are nursing friendly with a baby and a changing body. Thank you for this video!

Perhaps wear skirts instead of dresses for easier nursing
Find dresses that open in the front long enough to nurse. There are also nursing tops and dresses made for that.
Whitney, the cutest i saw was a tee style in one color with 5 or more zips in a matched contrast color, randomly scattered. The zips can be slapped on or set in. Two just happened to cross the breast in different angles. It could easily be added to a Tee shirt dress that flatters you, or a top. Or another style. They wisely added lips of fabric inside to cover the zip from baby, so no irritation. The other zips opened to closed fabric. Do placement at a mirror with tape, then pin.

God instructed the older women to train up the younger ladies...as a first generation latch-key kid, i understand why working moms has been so damaging to families!! I was not trained to live my husband and children as i should.
We are to live lives that are set apart from the world which includes the roles for husbands and wives.

I wear dresses with shorts under them almost every day in warm weather and in winter I wear leggings with long sweaters/tunics and sweater dresses. It’s so comfortable and beautiful.

Wow! I’m 65 and I just made the change this summer when I felt it necessary to remove all synthetic fabrics from my body….synthetics are mostly made from petroleum! Father gave us the perfect fibers; flax, cotton and wool. If you study the nature of flax you will find how protective it is to our bodies….anyway, I am now a Linenite! A phrase coined by Nathan Reynolds/ The Linenite Railroad! I already had a closet full of cotton skirts and I frankly thought Texas and long skirts? No way! But after making this change this summer with temps 113 I found them to be absolutely comfy and cooler! I usually wear a linen apron over my cotton skirts because I can’t function with 0 pockets and boy do my clothes stay cleaner, plus I had something to wipe the sweat of my brow. And then there’s the femininity. ❤️ Yes, we were created to be set apart from men. Keep doing these awesome videos. I bless you dear one. ❤

I really love linen too! There is nothing more comfortable in hot weather and I also enjoy it in cold weather too. No static! I just wish there were more linen clothes available. I have had to sew most of my own linen clothes.

Excellent take on femininity! I have been on the same journey! The T-shirt and shorts sporty girl always. Not immodest per-say, but not feminine. I love that you mentioned heart issues come first. We American Christian women are setting our hearts on Jesus, and only then stopping to notice how the Spirit leads us to be set apart. To be feminine and modest. I have 3 little boys. Thinking about how they see me as an example of a Godly woman was the biggest wake up call. And it’s funny how my husband compliments me the most in skirts! He’s supportive regardless. It has also been on my heart to wear more dresses. I have bought a couple of beautiful long dresses but I feel so overdressed in them, and that the dresses are too beautiful for me as I don't feel attractive (and I'm getting older😞) I hope to wear them anyway and hope the confidence will come in time.
I am almost 61. I have started wearing more skirts and dresses. Would wear them exclusively ( except to work out) but I don’t have that many yet.
Please don’t worry about being “ attractive “. Most people think way too much about that.
I don’t have great skin, yet I felt the Lord asking me to quit wearing makeup ( at least for a while).
I kept putting it off, saying if I had better skin I would. But He kept gently prompting me, asking me why it mattered so much that others think me attractive. Why are we so convinced that covering or changing colors or whatever is better than how He created us.
I had quit coloring my hair a while back, then went the nail polish, then finally the makeup. Do I look better? Lol! No! But I feel free! My husband already knows what I look like, I dong care if other women think I’m pretty and I don’t want other men to find me attractive.
Same with wearing dresses. If you feel like the Lord is prompting you, or if you just want to, just do it! Life is just too short to spend stressing over such things.
He created us without all the “ fluff”and the way He created us is enough! 🥰
It's really interesting to hear where the Lord is leading you. And wonderful that you have such a confidence within that. I have always worried how other people see me and to be honest I have predominantly hidden myself in jeans and baggy tops since my teens in order to not draw attention to myself. Interestingly a Christian man once told me he felt like God said I should embrace my biblical femininity and I didn't really understand what he meant by it at the time, but now it seems that God is speaking this into the hearts of many of his daughters. So better late than never, I am trying to implement this in the way that I dress, even if it doesn't quite feel like me yet!

How do you know it's him, and not just yourself, your thoughts, convictions, feelings etc.? Do you hear a voice, receive a vision, a dream, a revelation of sorts? Not being facetious with this question. Just genuinely curious to know your thoughts.
I wear skirts whenever possible on my bicycle or electric scooter. I've had pickups stop so I could cross the street!

Women carried themselves in such a beautiful way. They were so such more feminine by the way they spoke, softly and with dignity, their manners, appearance and how they carried themselves with class and grace. I totally agree with this topic. I started my modest traditional feminine attire a decade or more ago, and it has been amazing to see how much it affects people in different ways. I'm treated with respect by moat people, but heavily criticized by people that knew me to dress like a common scantily clad teenager. But I do love giving young girls the idea that beauty is way more than sexualtiy, and my body can be covered while still looking lovely. And it's just so comfortable and functional.

Hi Kelli! I've never got around to commenting before but I really appreciate what you and Scott are doing. When I saw the title of this video I was immediately interested. So many of the points you made in favor of dressing more femininely, especially wearing dresses, are ones I, my mother, and sisters have used as we grapple with this counter-cultural idea. And in this age of gender confusion I feel Christian women and men need to be especially obvious in their God-given differences. So thank you so much for reaffirming what God has been putting on our hearts. I couldn't help but laugh when you said your first inclination was to make the change quickly because that is how I always want to react as well. But I understand this will take some time --and I covet anyone's advice on where to buy feminine, natural fiber, AND affordable clothing. I love thrifting but where we live the options are incredibly limited. Anyway, thanks again, Kelli!
