My husband and I have 3 boys. When he was taking a lot of military trips, the boys wanted to wrestle with me, the way they would play with Dad. I started wearing dresses to show my young boys that there's a difference between boys and girls. I never expected that wearing dresses would make me feel different. Now, I wear them all the time. I enjoy that feeling. God made me a girl, and I am appreciating it.
Yes!❤❤ for some interesting reading about dresses and the importance of dress in Gods eyes I can very much encourage looking up Ellen White and the dress reform.
So strange I feel uncomfortable in dresses ...to the point where I always feel the desperate need to change my clothes if I wear one to an event ... Dresses make me feel uglier and like I am exposed even though I am not. When I wear pants which are practical and comfy I feel way more confident.
I own a few $10-$15 summer dresses and without fail, my husband comments on how nice I look every time I wear one. We are on to something here, ladies!
Society has lied to us women for so long. It’s beautiful how many women are rediscovering how unique and wonderful being feminine can be. Your hair down is gorgeous btw.
Dresses are not necessarily feminine ....in many cultures and during the middle ages men have worn "dresses" everyone wore dresses back then...I don't know how a piece of clothing could define femininity for me that's to shallow ...I personally think dresses are very impractical and I prefer wearing pants that does not make me less feminine or less in touch with my feminine side...
@@sandsturm7073 many things - - - lace florals brocade even heels, men wore first. fashion is cyclical,. wear what's comfortable. for you its not dresses, for others, myself too, it is. I feel more me in a dress, but it's not to say everyone should, its personal preference. I also feel men can wear pink ties , or a kilt to an event or a beard with a suit . so what? each of us will do what's comfortable in clothes for ourselves. if we enjoy breathing ... breathe. just my two cents worth.
I’m 54 years old. In the 90s, I wore a dress everyday because I loved Laura Ashley dresses so much. I loved how I felt wearing LA dresses. After Princess Diana died, so did the popularity of Laura Ashley dresses. My MIL, who didn’t dress up, kept commenting how I shouldn’t be wearing dresses just to lounge around. I started not wearing dresses as much. I felt lost many years of who I truly am. About 4 years ago, I decided to start wearing dresses again everyday. I feel pretty all the time. I look forward to choosing what dress I will wear for the day. I will never go back to my dark years. Bravo to you. I hope you continue it!
@@NYIJ05 No. Not even my scarf. I was underweight back in the nineties, and now I don’t have that problem anymore, so I’m no longer near the size. I donated them all to Goodwill. 😞
I think dressing feminine is empowering. It helps you be who you were created to be and it definitely causes others around you to treat you like a lady. Thank you for being vulnerable and talking openly about your journey.
I started wearing dresses and skirts as much as possible within the past couple of months. I’ve always been a tomboy and never been pulled towards dresses. But I have two little daughters now and feel a desire to model femininity for them, especially in a culture where it isn’t cherished. It’s interesting how gentleness and peace seems to come from embracing the delicate and feminine.
Are people different towards you as well? I wore a dress today, and I’ve had several people hold open doors for me; which hardly ever happens any other time 😅. I think it’s pretty cool. When one dresses feminine, everyone treats you as such.
Oh I feel this so much! I just had my first daughter almost 3 months ago. I grew up a tomboy, used to be rough, I almost joined the Marine Corp😅. Since I’ve embraced femininity I’ve felt so much peace. But especially since having my daughter. I
I always felt not put together and that my outfits never worked. I literally came here to see what’s missing. I always wanted to feel beautiful and feminine but didn’t. I tried skirts and blouses but they never fall “right” on me I’m taking the dress challenge starting today. Thank you for your video.
@@margaretmatheny I'm so glad more woman are wearing dresses, I gave up on pants 6 years ago when I started my minimalist journey , now 90% of my closet are dresses, so easy and minimalist. I understand all your feelings because I feel the same, I feel free, beautiful, feminine, peaceful.
At home sick today from school. While watching this I immediately put on a pretty peach dress and I felt stronger, more happy, more alive than I had in my sweats. This is an incredible video and I almost teared up when you were talking about how wearing a dress made you feel strong. Being a feminine girl doesn’t mean you are less strong.
We wear dresses all the time ...i had someone say to me at Walmart...how can u wear a Dress to wal Mart 😊 my Girls shocked our neighbor when they wore dresses to horseback ride ....they could mount with such ease .its amazing what u can do in a dress... garden, milk a cow, mow the lawn ....everything thats all they wore 100 yrs ago.... i have men hold doors, ive had older men comment how good it is to see ladies w dresses on.God bless
I've had people ask if I'm dressed up for anything and I say nope, I've always preferred dresses and skirts. I didn't have a pair of pants until I was 10 🤪 and I've always been a tomboy. I have even been known to wear my chainsaw chaps over a long skirt with my corset under my shirt and gone into the woods to cut firewood. Side note...especially for busty gals...I think a properly fitted and broken in corset is infinitely more comfortable than any bra!
I have transitioned to dresses and skirts slowly. But for the last almost 3 years they are all I wear now. I garden, exercise, and shoot my bow all while wearing dresses and skirts. I love this life. I feel great, I get treated with more politeness, my for boys also compliment me. I feel like a woman as well as ladylike. I can't see myself going back.
What kind of dress do you wear for exercise? I'm struggling to imagine my martial arts or Pilates I'm a dress. I'm willing to try. (Not in martial arts class, that's not allowed- just practicing at home)
I made a close friend in my early 20's that totally changed my perspective on clothing. Till then I wore blue jeans every day and dresses to church. Till I met this woman who was like a real fairy and she wore skirts or dresses every single day. She was very active and bouncy so she always wore footless tights with them. I found myself adopting a similar style which I continued with even after our lives sent us down different paths. It's now been 17 years since I met her and I still wear dresses and skirts 90% of the time. I love how I feel in them and and do agree that dresses are the easiest thing to put on, you don't have to match anything. Skirts take a bit more work having to find a shirt that goes well with it. I even wear skirts and dresses all winter with leggings and tall socks.
Winter! That's the obstacle I'm trying to overcome with wearing dresses. What style shoe do you wear in winter with your dresses and leggings and tall socks?
I wear a dress almost every day because it's SO easy, comfy, and I always feel so put together in them! I do get a lot of annoying comments, though, like "wow you must have spent so much time getting ready today, I could NEVER," "look at you, you must really be judging me in my sweatpants," and "why are you so fancy today?" 🤦♀️ People don't get that dresses are literally just fabric you throw over your body like any other article of clothing.
It's interesting you say that. I have been wearing dresses for the past three years almost every day, now officially every single day, and I thought that I would get comments like that, but I really haven't. I have only gotten one from someone I know very well who after a while of seeing me wear dresses asked how I feel about her wearing very casual clothes. But, I could tell it was a very genuine question, and she didn't ask it in a rude way. I just straight-up told her "absolutely not, I don't judge you by the way you dress". We are also both Christians so I told her that I admire her for so many other characteristics, especially her faith which is more important, and that she's beautiful either way. Side note, I also don't do it for Christianity's sake or for modesty. I just genuinely like dresses better, for how I feel in them and because of how easy they are to put on. I didn't tell her that because she already knows. But, I don't do it for that reason so I also don't judge her for not wearing dresses for religious reasons either.
I totally get those comments every time I wear a dress. Everyone around me wears jeans, shorts, or sweatpants. I’ve just always liked dresses! As a little girl they made me feel so pretty, and as a grown woman, I find them very easy to style, and I love how breezy and easy they are to wear.
@@beverlywilliams7278 I understand, but varicose veins run in my family, and I started wearing Hanes Alive support stockings when I was working and in college and on my feet so much. After seeing my aunt in so much pain, I have been very grateful for that hosiery!
Some people get threatened by something different. It reveals their insecurities. The same happens if you choose to eat vegan or carnivore..people are threatened and comment. True friends will be supportive and interested in why and what you are doing. Bless you.
As a Mennonite girl who’s worn dresses all my life, it’s so fascinating to hear the perspective of someone new to wearing dresses. Go for it Margaret! You looked lovely! I often have men open doors for me in town or people comment on my dresses.
I turn 70 tomorrow and I have no dresses in my wardrobe. I was forced to retire last year, so I am trying to live a more authentic self. I will give a dress a try! ❤
What you wear really does affect how you act, because it affects how you FEEL! I’m a 25-year-old GenZ woman, and I too have gone through this transformation; 2 years ago for me. I mistakenly thought throughout my teens and early 20s that femininity is the same as “girly”, and I associated “girly” with words like bimbo, vapid, silly, Barbie-like, attention-seeking. I dressed completely androgynously, and acted very masculine (as a result). Most people assumed I was a butch lesbian, even though I’m straight! But then 2 years ago I read “Captivating” by Staci Eldridge, and it completely changed my perspective on how _being a woman_ COMES WITH femininity, and femininity means being _graceful, soft, vulnerable, beautiful, kind, gentle, nurturing, sensual, and flowing as a dress._ And once I started wearing dresses, I felt the EXACT same way you do. Wearing dresses and skirts makes me FEEL graceful, gentle, lovely, and soft, even when I’m just doing chores. Then I can change back into jeans and a hoodie and I immediately feel more shlumpy, casual, average-looking, androgynous, and _not_ feminine. It’s the biggest life hack ever to FEEL the way you want to seem - and then when you _feel_ that way, you _become_ that. 🥰
I’m currently reading the male counter part to the book as my husband is reading it for a Bible study, it’s called Wild at Heart. It’s been eye opening to me on how my husband functions in many ways and how we are very different in a good way. I bought Captivating yesterday online and intend to read it for myself and am so excited!
@@artgirlerina1797 - I’m so glad I read “wild at heart” while my husband and I were engaged and preparing for our wedding! I think it has definitely made my relationship with his aggressive, “overly-energetic” masculine self easier. I can’t wait for you to read “captivating”! 😃
Dresses and skirts do make things easier. They’re feminine. They’re beautiful. They do make you act and feel more like a lady. You are generally prepared for everything. And guys do treat you more delicately. After a year of skirts and dresses for me, I’ve found all these things. Guys at college hold the door open for me all the time now haha
After wearing pants my whole life, I bought half a dozen dresses a few years back and tried wearing them. I HATED them. They didn't fit my lifestyle or my personality. I was hoping to like them to make my wardrobe easier. Instead I developed a uniform of simple tees and wide leg linen pants. It's good to experiment to figure out what works for you to simplify your life so you aren't thinking about outfits all the time and so that you feel really great in what you wear! I don't regret trying it at all even though it didn't work because it got me one step closer to what was right for me.
A closet shouldn’t be one thing! You need play and work out clothes, house work clothes, going out to a fancy event clothes, pajamas for summer and winter… sick and sexy, lounge is optional but nice to have- ❤… I have a hiking uniform where it’s like sporty Strega and my Sunday dressy is just rayon flowy stuff with pleather arm bands and black sheet long sleeve to confuse the patriarchy lol kidding
I love midi and maxi dresses most days. The only trousers I love are flowy , wide leg linen ones. The flow is as feminine as a dress, I feel. And I still feel classy and feminine
I put on one about a month after I got married and my husband asked why I was garbed up like that. I changed out of it and went outside and sat and cried. Fourteen years later it's the same.
I am 60 and divorced since 2021. I have always frequently worn dresses but since I live alone, no one tells me I'm beautiful. I have to be beautiful for me. I started wearing and buying dresses for a few reasons. I love the feminine vibe I have when I wear a dress. I have lost 38 kilos since 2017 through diet and exercise and the best, most economical way to stretch your wardrobe is through dresses! Yes! It is one garment from top to bottom that is flattering your changing figure. If you choose the right styles for your body, dresses will last much longer than jeans as your body changes shapes. I was also very happy to love dresses by the time I got my abdo-plasty. Dresses are much more comfortable. I'm starting to date and in a dress I just feel more confident and put together. so long, we women have had to fight for everything we have. I remember that my mom's bank account was in my dad's name!! Many of you on here could be my daughters! But standing up for our rights doesn't mean we have to lose our femininity! Power to the dress!!! (And red lipstick!)
I love what you said about standing up for ourselves not meaning that we have to lose our femininity. So true! We’re wonderfully made. You said since you live alone nobody tells you that you’re beautiful. I hope you will tell it to yourself every day, because you are. Congratulations on losing 38 kilos! You’re amazing!🥳 And yessssss to red lipstick. It really adds a special touch. 💃🏽😁💄✨ Stay well. Blessings!
@@AfroTeeHow feminity can lose? If all we female have our chromosomes that made us women. A dress doesn't make you feminine. Is a cultural stuff. All this movement is a massive brain wash to make us fools.

I’m a girl who likes to dress in tshirt and jeans. And one day I wore a maxi dress it hugged my body made me feel beautiful and when I went to the store I noticed men staring at me even smiling at me with interest .. I even got more compliments from women ..when I got home even my husbands reaction was almost over the top like he’s seen me for the first time and was just so 🤩 about me (loved it !! Now im thinking of adding that as my normal ) it’s just a whole other level that you tap into that comes with not only compliments and positive reaction but nice little perks ! I got an extra free bag and was told “for having pretty privilege “ (I was like I don’t even think I’m pretty like that!? lol) EMBRACE BEING A WOMAN ! That’s all I can say be girly be gentle be like a Disney princess
Yes! Welcome to the dress club :D I would recommend investing in an apron for cooking or gardening to keep your dresses nice. That's something that works for me.
I feel the same way! I almost always wear dresses, and men tend to act more honoring and gentle toward me when I do. When I wear dresses, I feel more beautiful and more put together. Love this video!
I've worn dresses/skirts my whole life... for sure you are treated with more respect, holding doors, clean speech, and far less getting "hit on" in a rude way. People instinctively think if you look like a lady that you will also act like one. :) my children often comment on dresses as well. Interesting video!
Full time maxi dresses/skirts (even for winter and home improvement) has gotten me thru years of chronic illness. Not only comfort but feeling put together when I feel at my worst. Thrift store dresses with some high end jewelry feels pretty good. And yes, an interesting social experiment is how people treat you in public… excessively courteous, opening doors, approachable, unassuming, but occasionally underestimated (charging more at the smog check, etc). But mostly it just feels good… I don’t need to conquer the world anymore.
Yes! I wore a dress today because I recently had a baby, and am just tired of looking ragged 😅- wanted to make myself feel good, to say the least. Anyway, doors were opened for me at every turn, and people were so courteous towards me as well. I thought to myself, “I could get used to this!”😂
Thank you for saying this. I have some chronic illnesses and im working through adapting to life with extremely limited energy. I had bought a ton of comfy clothes that don’t hurt my skin, but I look so frumpy in them all- which makes me feel even worse. So I’ve started wearing dresses 😅
I’m a 51 year dress wearer! I’ve never worn pants publicly. (I wear them as PJs, or in the privacy of my home while cleaning.) I can tell onlookers three things about dress wearing: 1. It DOES feed your femininity. I wear a skirt even to snow ski and when people ask why I tell them, “I’m an ACTUAL feminist. I stand for my right to be feminine.” 😜😅 2. Wearing a dress doesn’t always feel special. I sometimes feel as blah in my dress as I do in my cleaning sweats. Because even the pretty dress becomes “just clothes.” 3. I don’t need a pant suit to be the boss. I am a creator and I constantly organize teams. I have to direct, lead, guide, tell, exemplify… all the leadership things. And a dress has never made me feel weak or less-than. And yet, I am fully engaged with the scriptural teaching of submission and subjection. And I’m sure that my efforts to be feminine (my right of fimininity😉) has made the nature of being in my God-made role easier. THANK YOU FOR THIS VID. You did it beautifully!! 🥰
Dress/Skirt lover for life here. When I was a kid growing up in China, I looked forward to the beginning of summer every year because we were only allowed to wear dresses/skirts in the summer back then. When I moved to the United States, people used to ask me all the time: What's the occasion? I was like: No occasion. I'm just wearing a dress. I still wear dresses/skirts every day, unless I have to wear pants for some outdoor activities. Wear whatever makes you happy and confident. Ignore what other people wear. If they want to be casual or sloppy, it's their business. I'm not gonna call them out. And I'm not going to wear sweat pants, shorts every day just because other people do that. Dresses are so comfortable too, much more comfortable than restrictive jeans or pants, but they are 100 times more flattering than sweats.
I used to always wear pants. Then a few years ago I decided to dress like everyday is a special day and not worry what other people think. At the same time I realised that wearing a dress is the fastest way to get ready since it's only 1 item! I also feel like I am always ready for anything as I don't have to worry about 'getting dressed' if someone knocks on the door or if I have to go somewhere. I also rarely wear make up anymore or even jewellry as a dress is a complete outfit and it takes only 1 minute to go from being in bed to ready to walk out the door. And yes it feels great and people are mostly kind to me as well.
Maybe its just me because I don't like to shave, but shaving all the time seems like more work than just throwing on pants. Its my biggest hang up to wearing dresses.
You're definitely not crazy! I've started wearing more skirts and dresses lately and I feel so beautiful and feminine and I move differently. It also instantly brightens my mood and I feel more productive too. Its also biblical too for women to wear skirts and dresses as I've learned recently!
I've worn dresses and skirts exclusively for 30 years. So comfortable , makes me feel like a lady, even at-home. I don't even own a pair of pants or shorts. I love your comments about your 5 year old son and the men opening doors. I had those EXACT experiences myself 30 years ago! My son was 5 too! 😁
@@islandprincess9666 I wear leggings and warm socks. Layer up with shirts underneath or sweaters overtop. I had an older lady tell me that she wears nylons under her leggings for extra warmth. I live in the Northwest where we get lots of snow. The material of my dresses and the thickness of my sweaters change for the season.
my boyfriend bought me a bunch of dresses last year and I've been wearing them almost every day, and I've also experienced feeling more feminine, more in tune with myself, and people treat me with more kindness ☺️ So glad that your son is noticing that change too!
I've slowly been transitioning to a dresses and skirts wardrobe. It will probably end up as a dress wardrobe. One thing that I've noticed is that over time I actually have become more comfortable in dresses than I am in pants. I grew up loathing dresses so that's a huge deal for me. Dresses are SO wonderful. I love layering things with them and have a few under skirts (cotton slips) with lace trim. It makes me so happy! Love this video!
I have been wearing exclusively dresses and skirts for more than 12 years now, and I will never go back. I tried -- I wanted to just put on a pair of jeans and not worry about the cold (we live in MN). But it just felt so weird and exposed. I also often have men open doors, carry things, offer to help if the car needs oil, too many times to even count. Every time, I say, "thank you, sir," even to boys, because that kind of respect and care toward women is the mark of a true gentleman. It has absolutely changed my life! And now as a middle-aged woman, I still feel feminine and soft, despite being experienced and capable (54 years and 6 kids will do that to you!).
@Js20639. As a Canadian, I have a few hacks for you #1 fleece leggings #2 long johns tucked into tall socks #3 flannel pj pants tucked into tall socks under something long (nobody knows)
I feel the same way. I want to wear more dresses on a day to day. I definitely feel more “soft” and I realize I talk more calm and I’m less to get snappy or irritated at my children or husband simply when I wear a dress- it’s crazy but true. Thank you for this! This is my sign to wear more dresses 🥰
You asked, “why isn’t everyone doing this?” That’s the question I’ve been pondering for years! My entire closet is dresses at this point. It’s the easiest and usually most comfortable way to go and it always leaves me feeling my best/most like myself.
I grow forests on my legs. Hacking through that every other day along with the intense desire to rip off the flesh from my legs while it grows back is what keeps me from wearing dresses. Also, i get cold easily (even in 70 degree weather), it doesn’t take long for the thick dark stubble to make itself known.
90% of the times I wear dresses, I gave up on pants long time ago when I realized that I don't like pants, now I only have 3 leggings for exercise and some dirty jobs. Dresses and skirts make me feel beautiful, free, feminine, peaceful, softer, they also easy to style, so when I start my minimalist journey 6 years ago I decided to finally be me and assume my style, romantic and feminine, best decisions of my life. Also I have less clothes because a dress is just one piece, now I'm on the journey to find good winter dresses.
Did I not say anything about my husband?! Lol! He loved my dresses. He commented on my beauty more than usual and he was much more gentle. He's already a gentle human, but he was almost more aware!
This summer I started looking for more dresses (exclusively thrifted) because you don’t have to decide on bottoms and a top. Minimalism! I love how feminine and pretty I feel in a dress and it’s so much cooler than pants or shorts. I love your dresses!!!❤️
You look beautiful thank you for posting your videos, I have also been on this journey almost 2 years ago, I got rid of all my jeans, and now I just wear mostly dresses, a few skirts and a few blouses, but my go-to are dresses. I love your journey. I do have leggings, one leggings I do wear under a dress, or when I am working out. I feel different when I wear a pretty dress, I feel beautiful, I really feel at peace and joy. I was inspired to do the full change from jeans to dresses from the influencers Mrs. Midwest and Inspired by Nikki, Nikki has also been on this journey as well from used to wearing all jeans to wearing only dresses, there are other wonderful influencers that help women with their feminine journeys.
I recently started wearing dresses more often and I noticed everything you did. You are not crazy. The clothes we wear affect our behavior and the way other people treat us. I feel better in a dress. Yesterday I almost wore jeans and a t-shirt so I would "look normal" while going to a class outing. I wanted to wear a dress because I like the way it feels and how it looks, but I didn't want to stand out and look "too formal." After trying on several outfits, mixing and matching with jeans and crop tops, I went with the dress. I wasn't comfortable in my jeans. Sometimes I feel great in jeans, but I'm tired of forcing myself to wear them so I'll "fit in" and "look normal" whether that's at work or school. When I put on that dress, I felt the change. I smiled and I felt pretty. I felt put together. I told myself that it wasn't my fault if I was the best dressed in the room, and it certainly isn't a bad thing. In the end, no one sneered at me, no one made a rude comment, and I ended the day feeling pretty and confident. If you want to wear the dress because it makes you feel good, wear it.
Thank you for this video! I like the way you kept an open mind about how this challenge would make you feel, instead of putting down hard lines, and getting preachy. I wear dresses occasionally, and don’t have very many, but I do like how I feel when I wear them. I appreciated how you were talking about how it makes you feel, instead of ascribing morality to certain ways of dressing, because I have seen videos like that, and it feels very condescending and better-than-thou. But this video was tasteful, curious, interesting, and joyful.
This is the first time I watched you. Very impressive. Femininity is an art, a gift, a natural state. Color is good. Thank you for doing this and sharing.
I’ve been intentionally trying to wear more dresses lately! It truly does make you feel so much more beautiful, put together and just overall feminine. You’re encouraging me to do a 30 day challenge to only wear dresses!
I live in dresses and skirts. People are always shocked that I don’t own jeans 😂 But I LOVE it!! I feel feminine and beautiful. I get compliments everyday. Not even fancy dresses. And my husbands favorite thing is me in a pretty sun dress with my hair down and a natural face 💕💕 He says it’s his ideal and loves how feminine I am especially in a world where women push so hard against being feminine. I do notice I get treated better when I am out in public. People load my grocery’s on the belt for me, walk me to my car or just smile and say hi to me.
Yes to everything, I gave up on pants 6 years ago, best decision ever, I only have 2 Leggings for exercise. I love my dresses so much, I feel free, beautiful, feminine, peaceful, romantic and always put together.
Yes! you’re the only other person i’ve encountered that says this too, I’m in total agreement! When I switched to dresses & skirts a few years ago I noticed people treated me differently out in public. Not sure what that says about our society but we seem to be more influenced by appearance than we want to admit. …I’m still in dresses. 😊
@@silversnow3186 Sorry to say, but you´re comment here regarding Alena was neither "neutral" nor "open", so you´re the opposite of liberal. You seem to hate male and female behavour and feelings and cannot accept how the majority of mankind is wired: Men and women love dresses on women. If you´re husband is quite like yourself, congrats, you have a soulmate. But there are few husband that would contradict to a wife with such strong oppinions and tastes as you express, even if they disagree.
I found the same thing when I switched to dresses and skirts. I immediately fell into place within myself. My feminine energy was just waiting to be released and everyone in my home noticed. My toddler son's tell me I'm beautiful and my husband so enjoys everything as well ☺️ I'm hooked, and now when I put on jeans they feel like a straight jacket and I feel squeezed and bridled again. Nothing like the freedom of dress and skirts, the movement and most importantly how natural it feels, especially longer dresses where my body is wrapped and cuddled...modesty is so refreshing and I not going back.
I feel the same way! I love wearing skirts and dresses in the spring, summer, and fall , but winter I have a hard time with because I don’t like wearing tights or leggings.
I wear dresses and skirts daily, I live in a hot climate and it’s so much more comfortable and I just find them easier to move around in. They do feel more pulled together with almost no effort which is another bonus.
I love this! I’ve been wearing dresses almost all the time for the last few years and I definitely think all your observations are true for me! It’s much easier to get ready in the morning and feel put together. -They’re more comfortable. -People do treat you better and give you more respect (compared to people in athleisure or jeans). Especially men, it triggers the God-given chivalry and protectiveness in most men. -They’re more modest AND more flattering. -You don’t have to worry about your body. -It IS more minimalist because you only need one item of outerwear and don’t need to worry about matching or keeping things in a color scheme. As a tip, I always wear flowy slip-shorts under my dresses. I have about five and they’re a necessity for me. Dresses are more comfortable with them because the fabric flows freely without bunching or rubbing and especially with kids you don’t have to worry about exposing yourself if they lift your dress up or if you need to climb something to chase after them.
Minute 14 you convinced me to walk to my closet and put on a dress. Didn’t touch my hair, makeup, anything else. I do feel lighter, prettier and ready to be productive instead of sit in a quiet house and watch UA-cam videos. This is a journey I’m most definitely going to explore! Thank you so so so much for sharing!!
Some suggestions about clothing in general (I think another comment mentioned one of them): in the days when women wore dresses all the time, they always had “house dresses” for casual dressing and working around the house or cooking and often wore aprons so the dress would not get filthy and would not get as worn out. And they had nicer but casual dresses for running errands and shopping. And they had some fancier dresses for social events or church or an important meeting, and then some also had travel outfits. So I suggest getting some more casual dresses for housework etc and saving the good dresses for out of the house. Also for chilly days you can get a pinafore or jumper so you have layers, made of warmer fabrics like denim or corduroy or flannel and wear long sleeved tops or long pullovers underneath. One big problem and question I have is about shoes. With pants or jeans we can wear tennis or athletic shoes. But what about just casual when it is too cold for sandals? What kinds of every day shoes do you wear with your dresses? Yes boots in winter and sandals in summer, but what about the in between?
Yep ballet flats are the go IMO, some feel that pointy toes and or slingbacks are more elegant if U need to elevate an outfit a bit more, otherwise simple roundtoed ballet flats for casual wear?
I'm wearing dresses also. You're so right it really makes you feel better throughout your day. Pretty aprons are also a lovely addition. Today I worked the garden in a dress with my rose apron. Sending blessings to you & your beautiful family.
I’m thinking this might be a God thing… I keep just randomly coming across so many different sources that are all ‘talking about’ dresses…like I’m just seeing it more everywhere or being drawn to dresses more…it’s very interesting…thank you for sharing your experience.
I'm a Christian. I didn't start to embrace dresses, because of a religious reason. I do feel closer to Jesus, though. I feel patient, calmer, more gentle, now I dress in a more feminine way, and that can only be from Him !
Your not weird! It’s 2024 and I’m just starting my dress only journey and I feel the same way and agree with everything you said. It is so crazy how a piece of fabric can totally change you in such a deep way. I don’t think I’m ever going back, I can’t give up that feminine feeling and the absolute comfort you get wearing dresses/skirts. Thank you for sharing your experience with us! Have a wonderful and blessed day. ❤
I will happily take this as a challenge to wear more dresses! I love the simplicity and femininity of a beautiful dress- your thoughts on the subject are refreshing!
I wear dresses most of the time. I feel way more like myself, way more feminine, and way more respectable. I have noticed that men are more respectful towards me, just like you said. I think it is a wonderful thing to celebrate femininity through dresses!
I started wearing dresses full time about a month ago. I was just sick of standing in front of my closet trying to find “something that went together”. I’ve come to the same conclusions: I feel good in what I’m wearing; I feel beautiful; more secure in who I am; have more gentleness….The same things you said. Be encouraged, you aren’t crazy, you are encouraging us😃. I found it interesting: the difference in your voice and your demeanor from when you wore the dresses and then the morning you were in the sweat shirt and pjs(?), after your son was sick all night, there was a kind of “roughness” to you. Then you changed into the dress and your gracefulness, and gentleness came back. It was a good wake up call for me to “pay attention”, that I might have the same thing going on, unconsciously. AND for me to decide: which demeanor, tone of voice, do I want to live in? Which one shows more of the Lord’s love for me and others? That’s the one I want to keep. Thank you for this video. You have a new subscriber. Have a blessed day!🦋💐🦋
I was wearing a calf length flowing skirt on the way into a store with my husband, when a man passing by said softly to my husband, " you are so lucky you have a lady!" Im actively looking for more skirts and dresses now to wear every day
We were created to be beautiful, curious... etc. The little girl we were when we're young never leaves us. It's an indicator of who we were created to be. Loved this original video you posted and I want to try it out once I get more settled in my life!
Absolutely feel more feminine and pretty and confident in a dress. Several months ago I started trying to be more intentional about choosing what I put on in the morning. A simple dress seems more and more often to be the right choice.
I am a dress/skirt girly for sure. Walmart? Dress. Homework? Dress. House work? D r e s s. They are comfy. I feel fancy. I get lots of compliments. I love it.
Before I became I mom I hated dresses. But after my first child I discovered wearing dresses was SO liberating for my own body image. I feel carefree, effortless and put together when I wear a dress. And my body can make and have all the bumps and curves it naturally has without it bothering me at any point durring the day.
Interesting point there linking dresses with child-bearing: I wonder if dress-wearing declined because of employer discrimination driven by fear of maternity leave obligations?
I don’t think you’re crazy! I definitely think it’s a thing. I think there is a major pull for women to slow down and embrace and be proud of their femininity and natural, God given beauty and grace. I think there are many who push that thought away, thinking it goes against all of the words of the outside world, because it does. I, myself, have felt a pull towards this lately. I am home with the kids every day, and I do not wear dresses every day, but I do change out of pjs, and do makeup and hair each morning. I always feel more of a shift when I do that alone. I’m definitely thinking about embracing dresses more than I currently do. My 5 year old daughter always has preferred dresses. I think she’s onto something😊 Thanks for your video!❤ The Daughters of India dress is stunning!
The comment she made about thinking about her legs or insecurities about what she looked like in close designated with me. Been a Tom boy my whole life and still enjoy sports and being competitive with the guys, but wearing a dress that is comfy and simple helps me focus on God and others throughout the day and not myself (ironic cause I get the most compliments while wearing dresses). I feel the urge to prove myself under man's standards rise up, but God's softening my heart and validating me that I don't have to be the strongest person in the room to be valued and respected. I started wearing dresses to church to match my handsome hubby's nice wear at church (I used to just wear jeans or sweatpants) but as the months go on, I feel more myself, less anxious, and more beautiful and gentle. This video confirmed what God has been doing in my life, and my closet is going to see a few more dresses in the future!
Loved this video. You really do look so beautiful in the dresses, but I didn’t appreciate just how much more beautiful until you appeared later in the video wearing the sweatshirt! Think of the fact that almost every woman wears a dress to a formal event. It’s a no brainier that a dress is the most becoming attire for a woman when she wants to look her most beautiful.
I wear dresses or skirts 24/7 365. I have not worn pants or leggings in over 4 years. I feel way more put together, I wear them when I clean and everything I do around the house. It feels way better!
@@margaretmatheny I started because God had laid it on my heart for modesty reasons, and man did it change my perspective a ton. I wear casual and dressy ones. I also love dwell and slumber dresses because they work as regular dresses or pajamas. Good for cozy days in the fall and winter to!
I feel like this too when I wear dresses. I used to wear all black before hand.. Black jeans, Black boots, Black leather jacket, metal band shirts etc.. It was very heavy and masculine.. Now I wear dresses and skirts more often.. And I’m not afraid of print and color.. I still wear my boots and leather jacket, but mixed with floral dresses fx., it takes away some of the heaviness and I feel so much more gentle, warm and feminine when I wear those skirts and dresses.. So no, you’re not alone. :)
My entire wardrobe was black. We travelled from Australia, to New Zealand, to America and then settled , permanently, in France. My 3 suitcases comprised of black , with a tiny amount of blue, items of clothes. Now I own very few black pieces. I've embraced dress wearing, and am much more drawn to beautiful colours! Loved this Vlog. It's my first from you, Margaret. Subscribed
I’ve been wearing (only) dresses for almost five years now. And I’ll never go back to pants/jeans! There is something magic about it. I feel more feminine, relaxed and pretty. Plus my four daughters and my husband adore the way I look 😊 In fact, there is a reason, why dresses are designed for women and you might find a lot of explanations for it in almost every religion of the world! Isn’t that amazing? I think, that every woman looks just BEAUTIFUL in a dress. You absolutely do so, dear Margaret! Thank you so much for this video! ♥️🙏🏻 Greetings from Germany
I wear only dresses for almost 22 years, since I was met Jesus and changed my life. From this big miracle in my life (I was reborned) I felt that dresses us the cloth that made for women. That is what it makes us look beautiful and feminine to ourselves and to our God's eyes. God bless you!!! ❤️🙏
Not crazy--or, even better, crazy in a good way! This was an interesting experiment. There was a time (a few years back) when I had a hard time finding a dress--that is, a dress for whatever occasion I was getting ready for. Thankfully, that seems to have changed. But isn't it strange that these days, to wear a dress every day stands out as unusual. For centuries, women wore dresses. I can't imagine working out in a dress, but for the rest of the day, way cool. You have inspired me to give this a try. I am just starting on a path of sewing some of my own clothes, mostly for the creativity of that. I'm starting off with skirts, and hope to have several made for the summer. Nice video, Margaret!
I wear dresses almost every day & I am a dog sitter. I notice people seem to respect me more when wearing a dress. People comment that I am classy. I had a group of age 10 & 11 year old girls tell me that I look royal. I love the flow & feel of a dress. Yes, I feel more like a lady in a dress.
I love this! Was up almost all night with a sick baby last night and this morning decided to put on a dress. You are soooo right about it changing the trajectory of your feelings and your day :) My two year old even commented “mommy wear her princess dress!” Your dresses are beautiful :)
I'm glad that you enjoy your dresses! I started wearing dresses because my legs got muscular very quickly from skating, and I outgrew all of my jeans. I was so fed up with pants not fitting that I decided that my legs will never outgrow a skirt or dress.
I’m late to this discussion but want to chime in. I’m 61 and have worn skirts and dresses exclusively for forty years. All of your observations ring true to my experience too and, honestly, they’re designed to suit our curvy frames - pants/trousers are not. I don’t miss the feeling of my jeans making me uncomfortable when I sat and stood. Also, I appreciate your comments about colour. It has a huge impact on our frame of mind! I lived in north central Europe in the fall and few years ago and the buildings were beige/putty/cream, the sky was grey every day and there were no green spaces near my apartment. The lack of colour torpedoed my moods in a shocking way. I learned then why I enjoy the beautiful blue sky and the lush green spaces of my home region. 🇨🇦 I hope you’ve continued to enjoy dresses! They’re great in the winter too with warm tights or leggings and a blazer or sweater over top!
This is so interesting to me. I've really considered myself "not a dress" girl. I've really leaned into the athlete I've become, but now I wanna wear a dress more haha
Lovely video! I was born again at age 30 through prayer, then Bible reading. It was a miraculous experience. I was in the Navy at the time, I was in for 9yrs when I became a born again Christian. My mom had always been a jean and t-shirt gal and was quite assertive. I was pretty much the same, never wore dresses except maybe as a very young child. After I was born again I felt the Lord show me one day how my clothes were influencing my behavior. I was in my office, wearing my cammie uniform and boots, I had this sudden realization that my aggressive speech, and the way I was sitting legs open like a man, my cammies and boots and other clothes were influencing me. I felt the Lord leading me to get some dresses. I am still working on wearing them more often but I've noticed that when I do wear them, I feel so feminine and behave more lady like and gentler with others. I also think it improves my work ethic. I feel like I see my dress and it reminds me I should be doing the house chores etc. lol. I've gotten used to wearing them out and about which was a hurdle for me. I just need to wear them at home more often. Everything you've said matches my own experience wearing dresses. I have also noticed that gentlemen, even tougher looking guys treat me with more gentleness and respect when wearing my dresses. Thanks for this lovely video!
I've been wearing dresses exclusively for 15 years now. When I was younger you would never catch me dead in one. Then i started wearing skirts and it turned into dresses and I'll never go back. I think i kept one pair of jeans 'just in case', but really i never reach for them. In the winter i wear leggings under my dresses and boots for warmth but it also dosnt snow where I am...
@@margaretmatheny I wear thermal underwear during the Winter. It's light to wear, easy to move around in, but designed to keep you VERY warm .People wear it, even on the ski slopes!
I started wearing dresses and skirts in 2019. Day 2 is so cute. I have worn dresses to church on Sunday and Wednesdays the last 40 years. And some of the earlier ones on Thursdays too. So I had plenty when I started. I have noticed people often open doors for me now. I have wore pants 3 times when I knew I was not leaving the house that day. My husband never noticed. He does so many thoughtful things I am surprised he never notice.
Love this video! Read an article not too long ago that touched on this same challenge of wearing dresses for a month and the woman saw differences within her own family. It brought out her femininity, the masculinity in her husband, and similar comments from her children. I love the swooshing you get to do with dresses, it makes you want to run through a field of flowers. I definitely want to challenge myself to find dresses I feel beautiful in because they really do seem to make a difference in mood/confidence and it shines in others around as well. Thank you for an amazing video as always! PS: I love dress #1 and #9 on you, they're absolutely beautiful!
What a coincidence that you just made this video! In the past couple weeks, I've been desiring to be more feminine and wear dresses more. So now I am even more inspired!
I had the same revelation this summer! I’ve never felt so feminine, comfortable, secure, and beautiful. I even feel more articulate. The compliments that naturally flow towards you are just a bonus to the inner work that wearing dresses brings. It’s as if I unlocked a part of my inner child that remembers spinning around in a beautiful dress with so much life and energy! It’s almost indescribable how natural it really feels. It feels like coming home. My job requires me to wear pants and I live in a place that will get a lot of snow, so in a couple weeks, I’ll have to say goodbye to my collection of gorgeous dresses until next year. 🥹
I live in Canada, and we get lots of snow. I wear skirts with leggings or tights and high boots. I encourage you to try it before saying that you have to put away your dressed until spring. I have been doing it for over 10 years, and even play ice hockey, ball hockey and run in skirts! (Of course, with ice hockey, I do wear snow pants over the skirt...just saying...)
I only wear dresses/skirts in public. The shortest are right above my knees. I own fewer clothes because of it. I always feel feminine, and I love that. I’ve been living this way for about 12 years.
Interesting. I only wear dresses at home. I basically use them as house dresses and in the summer ill sleep in them, too. I don't know how to pull a look together with shoes etc with dresses so when I go out I basically just do a jeans/tshirt /dark shoe look. Men are very polite to me because I'm old now--66...so they want to help me. Its really sweet.
Margaret, thank you so much for making this video. I’ve worn skirts or dresses almost my entire life and have started wearing pants a lot more recently. Although I love both, I have found that I truly feel like you described-free, more feminine and ladylike, truly beautiful, and honestly even more gentle. I have noticed that even when I went to the store in a long skirt (for the first time in forever) yesterday, I felt like I received looks of appreciation and kindness from so many people instead of just another passerby that has things to do and places to go. People stopped and looked. I felt a little weird from all the “attention”, but I genuinely felt respected and valued. Was that just because I wore a skirt? I doubt it (as I was also carrying my 7 week old on my chest), but it sure did feel different. So thanks again for the encouragement! Let’s become a generation of simplicity and beauty once again, valuing who we were made to be. Appreciate you so much!
When pregnant with my second child, we experienced an unusually hot summer. The only thing I could find to wear was a loose-fitting, thin, long length pinafore dress. It got worn and washed over and over. I had always worn jeans/trousers before. I was really surprised at how different I felt wearing a dress. Now wear dresses most of the time - so much more comfortable and versatile.
I found this so interesting - I've never been a dress girl, but have found since I've been more into simple living that has changed and I have found that it seems so much more natural to me! You look fabulous and so happy! Plus, one item to get dressed? Yes, please!
The day I made the decision to wear more dresses was the best day. I decided to be more diligent last summer and when Winter rolled around, I felt weird having almost zero winter worthy dresses. That's my next goal, wear more dresses even in Winter. I love being feminine and I look forward to the day.
I’ve worn dresses/skirts more than half of the time the last few years. I’m a personal trainer so I can’t wear those things when I’m working, but I opt for professional athletic pants over leggings. Everyone at the gym treats me like a lady and still respects me, which I really appreciate. Wearing dresses helps me mentally while having a chronic illness to feel beautiful and put together even though I feel completely crummy all the time. Even when I stay home all day, I love wearing my designated “house dresses”. I wear aprons over them if I cook or clean and it keeps everything cleaner. I had a similar mental transformation as you described in this video. It’s really cool and unexpected! Enjoyed this video!
I'm 65 yrs old. Around 45 yrs old; I started looking at that same thought. :) I will wear a top and skirt occasionally; I prefer my dresses :) I'm mom to 7 wonderful kids from now 33 yrs old down to turning 20 tomorrow... :D I am an ex- construction working mom and love when people hold a door open for me and call me "Mam" it still shocks and delights me.
CONGRATULATIONS ! I AM 67 & I was born in 1957. I always wore dresses ! This was normal.in the 1960 & 70’s. We were surprised when we learned there were some girls who only had Jeans (slacks) in their wardrobe. But it’s great to FEEL. Girly. ❤

I really enjoyed watching your video. Your personality is inviting and enjoyable! I live on a farm in the Midwest and I work at a place where wearing pants and safe boots/shoes is a must. I have worn a dress at home on the weekends and evenings. My 2.5-year-old daughter is a beacon of kindness. told me, "Mommy, you are beautiful," and we spun around together before looking in the mirror at how beautiful we were. It was the highlight of my day! Even my husband, when he came home late from work, made a lovely comment, although I can't recall exactly what it was since it's been a few months. I did forget about it, but I will start doing it more! I don't wear dresses as much because I am afraid they will get stained or ruined by our farm, animals, and my messiness. But I just need to wear the dress and not worry about it.
I’ve been so looking forward to this video! I don’t wear a dress every day, but they have definitely become a staple in my wardrobe. I just had my 4th baby a week ago, and they were key to a summer pregnancy and covering my varicose veins. I absolutely echo your sentiment about feeling different and being treated differently. It really is fascinating. Mrs. Midwest has some great videos on femininity and leaning into that.
What a refreshing reflection! I love how this experience with dresses highlighted something so simple yet transformative. You know, it strikes me that sometimes the smallest changes, like choosing a different outfit, can have a surprising ripple effect on our day, our demeanor, and even our interactions. Watching you tap into a softer, more feminine side is so relatable-there's something uplifting about feeling just a bit more graceful in everyday moments. Your 30-day journey offers a reminder that embracing our own unique style can influence how we feel and how we connect with others. Whether it's dresses or simply dressing in a way that feels true to ourselves, these choices have a wonderful way of uplifting us from the inside out. And always, remember... every time you click the “like” button... an angel gets its wings.
How can you appreciate being a woman ? I hate being a woman it's just horrible...being a women feels like punishment by God.

Same here. My husband loves when I wear dresses. He say he thinks all women just look so beautiful in them.
Society has lied to us women for so long. It’s beautiful how many women are rediscovering how unique and wonderful being feminine can be. Your hair down is gorgeous btw.
When we have people complaining about this or that becoming "feminized," they're putting down the aspects of femininity.

I'm an Apostolic Pentecostal (we wear dresses and skirts exclusively as well) and yes, it was very interesting!
I turn 70 tomorrow and I have no dresses in my wardrobe. I was forced to retire last year, so I am trying to live a more authentic self. I will give a dress a try! ❤
I also am Mennonite, and this is extremely interesting!!
But then 2 years ago I read “Captivating” by Staci Eldridge, and it completely changed my perspective on how _being a woman_ COMES WITH femininity, and femininity means being _graceful, soft, vulnerable, beautiful, kind, gentle, nurturing, sensual, and flowing as a dress._
And once I started wearing dresses, I felt the EXACT same way you do.
I LOVED reading that book in high school!!
You need play and work out clothes, house work clothes, going out to a fancy event clothes, pajamas for summer and winter… sick and sexy, lounge is optional but nice to have- ❤…
I have a hiking uniform where it’s like sporty Strega and my Sunday dressy is just rayon flowy stuff with pleather arm bands and black sheet long sleeve to confuse the patriarchy lol kidding
I am 63 & definitely a regular 340/365 day wearer of skirts & dresses…but not a red lipstick wearer…at all. My thought reaction to your sharing…hmm…maybe it’s time for me to start wearing red lippie…daily 😄 btw l am home a lot (!!!) & see how l feel😊
@@lindaed3594 Red lipstick positively changes your confidence. I live in France and this is a fact. I used to wear darker eyeshadow ,so paler lipstick. Now I have reversed that, in favour of the red lipstick. I love it! It brightens the face ....
Me too, aprons are a must as I am a stain magnet! I love finding vintage style aprons on Etsy and Amazon.
Also waiting for apron revive!!
I feel the same way! I almost always wear dresses, and men tend to act more honoring and gentle toward me when I do. When I wear dresses, I feel more beautiful and more put together. Love this video!
Which of dresses you use? With flowers and long? Or the hot ones? (Men approach you because you show more skin 😂 not with a delicate dress 😂)
I've worn dresses/skirts my whole life... for sure you are treated with more respect, holding doors, clean speech, and far less getting "hit on" in a rude way. People instinctively think if you look like a lady that you will also act like one. :) my children often comment on dresses as well. Interesting video!
Me, too, I just don’t really like trousers, they’re not comfy and don’t feel like me.
I thought to myself, “I could get used to this!”😂
Love this❤
That's sooo real!!!!!
That’s a relief…
Can we trust our men? They’re broken too.
Thank you for saying this. I have some chronic illnesses and im working through adapting to life with extremely limited energy. I had bought a ton of comfy clothes that don’t hurt my skin, but I look so frumpy in them all- which makes me feel even worse. So I’ve started wearing dresses 😅
I wear dresses and skirts most of the time- all 4 seasons- comfortable and freeing-
I’m a 51 year dress wearer!
I love this!!❤
Dress/Skirt lover for life here.
Yees!! This ❤❤😁😁 my thought too! Love my dresses 😁😁
How do you do this when the weather is cold?
@@islandprincess9666 I wear leggings and warm socks. Layer up with shirts underneath or sweaters overtop. I had an older lady tell me that she wears nylons under her leggings for extra warmth. I live in the Northwest where we get lots of snow. The material of my dresses and the thickness of my sweaters change for the season.
Trisha, where do you buy your einter dresses? I think they are so hard to get ...
@@trishawall9619 Thank you for replying with the tips.
my boyfriend bought me a bunch of dresses last year and I've been wearing them almost every day, and I've also experienced feeling more feminine, more in tune with myself, and people treat me with more kindness ☺️ So glad that your son is noticing that change too!
Dresses are also great for packing for vacations! Less clothes to pack for an outfit = more room in luggage!
Any tips on how to stay warm in a dress during a cold Canadian winter?
@@Js20639 I wear leggings under a longer skirt. Works well for me.
Leggings or tights underneath ☺️
@Js20639. As a Canadian, I have a few hacks for you #1 fleece leggings #2 long johns tucked into tall socks
#3 flannel pj pants tucked into tall socks under something long (nobody knows)
I feel the same way. I want to wear more dresses on a day to day. I definitely feel more “soft” and I realize I talk more calm and I’m less to get snappy or irritated at my children or husband simply when I wear a dress- it’s crazy but true. Thank you for this! This is my sign to wear more dresses 🥰
Dresses create gentleness and patience of spirit
Wow ❤
You asked, “why isn’t everyone doing this?” That’s the question I’ve been pondering for years!
My entire closet is dresses at this point. It’s the easiest and usually most comfortable way to go and it always leaves me feeling my best/most like myself.
I grow forests on my legs. Hacking through that every other day along with the intense desire to rip off the flesh from my legs while it grows back is what keeps me from wearing dresses. Also, i get cold easily (even in 70 degree weather), it doesn’t take long for the thick dark stubble to make itself known.
@@Akigirl2004finally someone else feels the same! I would love to wear dresses but shaving all the time is a huge hassle. Plus I suck at it. 😅
Been wearing dresses for 3yrs! I feel more comfortable ; and love that people see the confidence & respect I have for myself. Love all your dresses!!!
Have you freedom of movement with dresses?? Are practical for daily life activities?
@@ly_lu5923 Someone once told me, if you can't do whatever in a skirt or dress, maybe you shouldn't be doing it.
This summer I started looking for more dresses (exclusively thrifted) because you don’t have to decide on bottoms and a top. Minimalism! I love how feminine and pretty I feel in a dress and it’s so much cooler than pants or shorts. I love your dresses!!!❤️
Children are so precious, your son is a little gentleman 🥰
Go for it, you’ll be a dress convert!
In studies, men prefer a sundress on women than any other outfit.🙂
@@silversnow3186 Have you ever actually worn dresses? I think your husband would notice...
If it works with the dress I wear tennis shoes. Otherwise it’s my boots or casual loafers.
Flats are a good staple as well
Yep ballet flats are the go IMO, some feel that pointy toes and or slingbacks are more elegant if U need to elevate an outfit a bit more, otherwise simple roundtoed ballet flats for casual wear?
I'm wearing dresses also. You're so right it really makes you feel better throughout your day. Pretty aprons are also a lovely addition. Today I worked the garden in a dress with my rose apron. Sending blessings to you & your beautiful family.
A rose printed apron over a dress to garden...sounds so lovely! Like a painting. ❤
Love this! Made me smile!
I wear dresses most of the time. I feel way more like myself, way more feminine, and way more respectable. I have noticed that men are more respectful towards me, just like you said. I think it is a wonderful thing to celebrate femininity through dresses!
Wow, love hearing this. So I'm not crazy!
Have a blessed day!🦋💐🦋
I was wearing a calf length flowing skirt on the way into a store with my husband, when a man passing by said softly to my husband, " you are so lucky you have a lady!" Im actively looking for more skirts and dresses now to wear every day
Wow. A beautiful story
My summer capsule wardrobe is made of 20 desses, 6 tops and 5 bottoms . I get you girl 👍🏻
Ah, love this!
Yes, I wear dresses at least 50% of the time. I also got my friends into and yes we all feel more feminine - BTW we are all in our 60’s

I totally agree! I absolutely wear dresses and skirts a lot! I always feel better!
Plus my four daughters and my husband adore the way I look 😊
In fact, there is a reason, why dresses are designed for women and you might find a lot of explanations for it in almost every religion of the world! Isn’t that amazing?
I think, that every woman looks just BEAUTIFUL in a dress. You absolutely do so, dear Margaret! Thank you so much for this video! ♥️🙏🏻
Greetings from Germany
I wear only dresses for almost 22 years, since I was met Jesus and changed my life. From this big miracle in my life (I was reborned) I felt that dresses us the cloth that made for women. That is what it makes us look beautiful and feminine to ourselves and to our God's eyes. God bless you!!! ❤️🙏
Ooooh noch jemand aus Deutschland 😍
@@dizzy7536 Hi, bin auch von good old Germany.
Definitely a yes to the dress there’s a change how you carry yourself throughout the day when wearing a dress. More lady like, the way supposed to be.
Your 2-year-old?! Wow, that's so precious.
@@margaretmatheny Also, you should look into dresses from Madewell! Definitely house fairy vibes :)
My 3 year old girl comments when I wear a dress that I look like a princess 🥰💐
I'm glad that you enjoy your dresses!
I started wearing dresses because my legs got muscular very quickly from skating, and I outgrew all of my jeans. I was so fed up with pants not fitting that I decided that my legs will never outgrow a skirt or dress.
I have zero jeans in my closet and I love it. Dresses and skirts almost always
Same here! Been wareing dresses for 40 years! Love them!!
In the winter i wear leggings under my dresses and boots for warmth but it also dosnt snow where I am...
oh I love this! I was wondering what my plan would be for winter. That's so helpful!
@@countryfrau8328 You're REALLY not old at 66. I'm 61 yet feel so young, still. Embrace your beauty. God bless you
@@jacqueline8559 What a sweetie pie! Thanks! You have a great attitude!
I love wearing dresses, especially in summer. I feel lighter and better in them, too.
This really inspired me to try this, because I do feel more feminine and beautiful if I wear a dress. So time to go shopping for some more dresses!!
Girly. ❤
@@DoloresGlass back then there was dress codes! You were required to ware dresses at work and school! I always loved dresses! I'm 63, been wareing dresses for 40 years!
