Awesome Man....😮
Thanks! Most appreciated 🙏
Yes a lot of work, but great job and looks fantastic. I think will give it a try but on a less detailed wheel.
Thank you. You should try it, you’ll do fine
Hi it’s Rafiek from sunny South Africa thanks for sharing the look awesome

Looks amazing. I think I'm gonna leave the two tone to you for a long while. Maybe someday though.

Thanks!

@@theartman410 I don’t know we have a few. You can checkout out oven build playlist

YEAH BUDDY! Thank you for your support! 💪💪
Awesome job..!! Just wondering if you could show how and what you do to the center caps… no one i can find shows how they do them.. thanks for the hard work and great videos
These center caps came this color
But we do have some videos coming up showing some different options to do caps, but not powder coat. Paint or vinyl is the best if they are plastic caps
Ok thanks
@@710performance thanks I appreciate it. I actually have a little trick for doing the center caps that works surprisingly well and it matches because you use the powder coating. Before you do the wheel you clean it up with the blaster or rim strip in your case. Lay the cap in the wheel and charge the wheel. Heat the cap with a heat gun but not too much. There's a sweet spot, and then you just coat the center slow. Then continue to heat it for 10 to 20 minutes. Some center caps are super cheap and some aren't you may need longer or less time depending on the caps. If you haven't tried it, try it out sometime. You have a far better setup than I do, and I'd like to see you figure that out. I know a few people do it like this already but you could be the one to "perfect" it. You're a damn genius with that 2 stage video I just saw today. That sharp neon green and satin black. 👌 have a good one and thanks for taking the time to read and reply.
excellent video brother, I have a problem the second color does not adhere, can you advise me?
I need more information to help you. How long are you curing the first color?
Hey man! Great job!! What vacuum setup are you using? I still haven't found a decent setup yet.
We're using the Powder Coat Detail Vacuum kit that we make and sell 710performance.com/shop
that looks awesome. i cant imagine what the cost of something like that would be.
Thank you! In this 20” wheel it about $300 per wheel
I am having problems when laying powder down, and it starts to make little craters where the powder refuses to stick to. Almost like it has a static charge that repels it in little spots. Any idea why? I have chartreuse to do some snowmobile parts but don't want to mess it up.
What system are you using? It's most likely your system, you're getting fairade areas
@@710performance harbour freight equivalent. I’m from Canada so we have a Princess auto “power fist” brand.
It doesn’t do it all the time. Just randomly when the powder starts building up.
How do you get the second color to stick to the first color during the powder application? Are you still electrically charging for the second coat? Thanks
Yes, we are. any good powder coating system will do multiple coats with ease
I have the Eastwood duel voltage gun. Obviously an entry level gun. I wonder if this would be able to do two coats?
Beautiful work! When you say 60% cure, you're talking about 60% of the total cure time at the cure temperature? Thanks for the video, its given me some ideas for non-car projects.
Thank you, Yes that is what I’m talking about with a 60% cure. Some times we also run it at a lower temp. Say 350° until it gets to temp, then 5 minutes
@@710performance thanks, I'll try it on some scrap metal.
Where can one find the materials to create the vacuum pen that you use ? Love your channel
Thank you 🙏 We sell the vacuum kit in our website 710performance.com/shop
I hook it up to the compressor?
What wheel stripper do you use, and do you use it on all wheels or just those?
we use Bare Metal Stripper and we use it on pretty much all wheels
Do you have a video on your vacuum or how to vacuum.
Yes we do have a few on the channel.
@710performance thanks, I'll be looking for them.
Hi, what is the precision pen or spary gunnyou used for the yello part ? Precision powder coating gun ? Ref or link ?
It’s the Powder Coat Detail Vacuum Kit, we sell it on our website 710performance.com/shop
@@710performancemy english is not so good to understand every details of the video. So (q1) is that correct, you coat and cure fiirst layer at 60% cure time, yhen coat a second tone layer and vaccum it whith precision and then full cure the two layers. I heard not to vacuum powder coat cause it is explosive. (2) what vacuum to buy, non explosive, lower cost for athome DIY, (3) which one do you use ? (4) How to vacuum strait lines ? Br Tahiti
how much does something like this cost. i have 3 harley davidson wheels i would like done 2 tone. front wheel double sided and 2 back wheels. its a trike
It really depends on the color and the size of the wheels. Send us an email at info@710performance.com and we can get you a quote.
What are you using to remove the 2 tone?
The Powder Coat Detail Vacuum Kit, you can purchase it on our website 710performance.com/shop
why not just use closed eye bolts, and why the 2nd nut...doesnt gravity keep the wheel the resting onto the end nut that is at the end of the threads >> i dont see a need for the 2nd nut, that tightens onto the rim. gravity keeps the wheel in place...right? just trying to help out
It was just something we were testing.
Is it possible to do two tone, color wheels, and make them real glossy? If so, what is the process to accomplish that?
you can choose to coat them with a high gloss clear after the two-tone process.
@@710performance OK and what is the process of baking between each coat? How would you do it?
휠 도장면에 먼지가 들어가는걸 방지하는 방법이 있을까?

Could you do a set of TE37x that I need redone in black? They have the volk logo milled out and I need that to be the two tone part. None of my local shops can do it.
Yes we can. If you would like a quote, please feel free to email us at info@710performance.com
