maybe thats why ist called Post Rock right? after all that macho bullshit (saving some bands) rocknroll came to this feeling beautiful this. Just my opinion fellas.
Chills. I mean what else can you say man? This is such a fucking powerful video. I've been coming back to this for years and I am just as moved as the first time. Audiotree you should be proud that you had Caspian at this time to play this track because you can tell it's just pure emotion and creation. I don't think there's much left in this world that creates a sense of euphoria as this.
I remember I. The early 2000’s my uncle was friends with them and he invited my brother and myself to come see them live. When I say life altering in person I mean it. I’ve loved listening ever since.
Listening to this live with the full venue dead quiet during the intro - including the usually chatty people way in the back - was the most amazing experience ever. You could hear a pin drop, and those soft silent notes at the beginning. Fantastic.
I really wish they did on their recent headlining tour. They instead played their new song, which was alright and all, but I totally felt this one would have been a better closer. they could have played their new one somewhere within their set instead of at the end, but whatever.
Hearing this is awesome, but seeing how it's done is on a whole different level of awesome. I love the part where the members, one by one, started to help with the drums.
This performance floors me every time I watch it. It sounds like pure energy manifested into song, and you can feel that fact through the sheer passion of their playing. While the studio version of this song is still pretty fantastic, I don't think it even comes close to how good this version sounds. Listen to this when you want to feel pure bliss.
the way the music makes my brain plays all the memories stored in it. it puts me to a journey. its powerful to the point that you dont know if you'l cry or laugh at the same time.
These drum beats at the end come from aboriginal tribes, so wild so vibrant. And in the first part how they build up rhythm and wall of sound leads me to think about how a splendid dome of a holy grand church is felt. A song that can be described as “transcendent”
True Anglo musicianship. .constantly evolving, extremely technical, yet still soulfully raw, no constraints..pure baring of grit, power and grace all at once. .heaven
Newly discovered today and this is just sublime. I have been learning to play guitar for just over six months and whilst I am terrible, what it has done is enhance my appreciation for how good actual musicians are.
This was my first audiotree live video and as such, it is the most beautifully filmed music performance film I have ever seen. Perfectly matched the mood of the song. Absolutely amazing tone coming out of Phil's Fender there in the beginning. And what delicate expression. The whole thing is a visual and sonic delicacy...
The first time I ever saw them live, they closed on this per their ritual. Mind was blown more than should be allowed. Watching them close out on this is one of the most amazing experiences you can take in.
I've been playing drums for 10 years and what he is doing fits perfectly in the Post Rock genre. It's supposed to be a relaxing genre. You don't want a choppy drummer smashing the shit out of his kit with fills and overcomplicated beats. Simplistic is key for enjoyment
+Elias Simpson you can be creative and simple at the same time. I love Caspian, but the one thing they lack is a creative drummer. The beat that the drummer comes into the song with could be more held back and raw. rather it is just a very stiff, uninspiring section.
Same thing is said about Pelican's drummer, that he is just plain lousy and simplistic and there they are pulling out amazing music as usual... Its like every drummer in a post rock band needs to be Russian Circle's for some to feel good...
Anyone else keep coming back to this and it just gets better ?
Back again. Soul cleansing for sure.
yeah, I do for sure
This band was supporting Deftones. I had never even heard of them when they came on stage. To date they are the best band I've ever seen
I saw them support HIM 10 years ago and I’ve loved them ever since. Seeing this song live was amazing.
💯
R.I.P. Chris...
I don't know if THIS is fate but ive lost a good friend named Chris as well. And when I read this, just made me wonder and Happy
love the part from 0.00 to 11.10
FUCK YES CASPIAN!!! to quote the host at the end.
post rock is the most emotional kind of music.
It's a really special type of music.
gives me goosebumps everytime i hear it.
maybe thats why ist called Post Rock right? after all that macho bullshit (saving some bands) rocknroll came to this feeling beautiful this. Just my opinion fellas.
Daniel Alberto Gutiérrez Stewart what???
Daniel Alberto Gutiérrez Stewart That's not what post means in this context.

There is but what a track to go with it
I remember I. The early 2000’s my uncle was friends with them and he invited my brother and myself to come see them live. When I say life altering in person I mean it. I’ve loved listening ever since.
@@cmarotta9649 if you like that try "jakob"
The human species peaked when this dropped.
5:45 is the best cut I've ever seen in my life.
You know that rare moment in music where you're just like: "My God!" This is one of them.
Listening to this live with the full venue dead quiet during the intro - including the usually chatty people way in the back - was the most amazing experience ever. You could hear a pin drop, and those soft silent notes at the beginning. Fantastic.
YEAH BABY, FEED MY EAR WITH THAT NOISE
kmo
Caspian usually ends their live shows with this song. A wise choice.
I really wish they did on their recent headlining tour. They instead played their new song, which was alright and all, but I totally felt this one would have been a better closer. they could have played their new one somewhere within their set instead of at the end, but whatever.
RIP 14th fret you will be missed
Lol.. This technique was famously popularized by Hendrix in the intro to foxy lady. He has his mark on every genre that followed I think.
One of the best post-rock bands I have ever heard. You guys are just amazing!!! Fuck yeah!! Caspian ;)
Just found them about an hour ago... Literally changed my favorite band and favorite genre in one song.. thank you.
Just got back from Caspian at the Oriental in Denver. I’ve never cried at a concert before now. Thanks.
Watching them play this live was the best thing I have ever witnessed
A bird once flew in to the window while I was having my morning coffee. SPLAT! Right in front of my face. Caspian comes a close second to that.
Kaitlin Turner where did you see them?
seconded. slayer in a parking lot was a close second. I shed tears. @mariel they were transcendent at The Firebird in StL ...
I saw them open for HIM in 2013. Tertia has been my favourite post rock album ever since.
"fu*k yes! Caspian!" lol. This is truly awesome. I've seen these guys live twice and every time I hear this it gives me goosebumps.
This song gave me hope again.
Holy crescendo. That was so epic.
I love how they feed off each others energy. They are in total harmony.
I love this freaking band.
Hearing this is awesome, but seeing how it's done is on a whole different level of awesome. I love the part where the members, one by one, started to help with the drums.
I wish these guys to give a show in India once!!!
Wherepostrockdwells same! Maybe at Nh7 one day!
They will.
Sleepmakeswaves, God is an Astronaut, MONO etc have all come.
They will.
Sir yes.
This band needs to come to Toronto, Canada and make my dreams come true.
They are - 29th July 2024...
@@Peterctwo-oj4ky omg! I know I'll be there!
When all of them came in to play drums I was dying inside and crying and it was so powerful
i probably watch this video once a month, never gets old
i love the passion put into it.
Why are so many people giving the drummer shit? He did amazing, and so did the rest of the band.

Saw this live when they toured with Underoath and was blown away
Quite possibly the best performance of a song ever...
that ending.... just... every time.... I've forgotten how many years I keep coming back to this!
The ending was pretty damn epic
This is the best thing i've ever seen. Especially the last minute.
the best live performance ever
Thank you Caspian and Audiotree. This is probably one of the most beautiful and important videos on youtube. I saw them live recently... goosebumps.
Please don't put an intercut ad in this song... Please...
the way the music makes my brain plays all the memories stored in it.
it puts me to a journey.
its powerful to the point that you dont know if you'l cry or laugh at the same time.
One of my most favorite songs in the whole world. This HAS to be played at my funeral party. Loud.
I've no joke have said the same thing. 😊
This song is what made me fall in love with instrumental.
For me it was three legged workhorse by TWDY. But it could easily have been this
Minute 11:02 summarizes all feeling. I hope one day see you on live guys, greetings from Chile.
Epic performance.
2021- someone there?
the begining is just epic
im always coming back
Just the beginning?
damn man never seen anything like that ever in my life. Totally unexpected emotional explosion of feelings.
These drum beats at the end come from aboriginal tribes, so wild so vibrant. And in the first part how they build up rhythm and wall of sound leads me to think about how a splendid dome of a holy grand church is felt. A song that can be described as “transcendent”
started crying when the drums came in
Seven years later and I'm enticed by your guys' music
If you have never seen these dudes live, I feel bad for you. They put on the best damn show I’ve ever seen!
Yep! Saw them open for HIM in 2013
This is one of the most amazing things I have ever heard in my life
i hear this music to relax, wow the years pass and i still hearing this song every day-
I've seen this band live 4 times now...had the honor to open for them once. Every single time has nearly brought tears to my eyes.
True Anglo musicianship. .constantly evolving, extremely technical, yet still soulfully raw, no constraints..pure baring of grit, power and grace all at once. .heaven

Amazing, one of my favorite songs, on my `top list`.
The best way to spend my break on a Monday. Would love to see these guys on stage one day.
Probably one of the best pieces of music I've ever heard.
I can't stop listening to it.
Great drumming, perfect for the Caspian sound.
Them closing with song when they opened for Underoath's rebirth tour was probably the most emotionally moving experience I've had
This is so amazing makes me shake, I wish will see you in concert someday
92 people have some serious issues for not liking this. These guys are amazing.
Truly beautiful!
Damn this song is amazing. Just plays right into my soul
Fuck yes! One of thee best songs ever recorded! No words can describe it. Thank you thank you 🙏❤️💕🥰 this will be played at my funeral party!
The first time I ever saw them live, they closed on this per their ritual. Mind was blown more than should be allowed. Watching them close out on this is one of the most amazing experiences you can take in.
just cant stop repeating it
theres only one word to describe this, as stated before AWESOME!!!... well wait, fantastic, exelent, amazing and EPIC do it justice as well.
Pure feeling, pure emotion
I don't have words to describe this
The power of the union... dream team
They opened for Minus the Bear ("farewell tour") a couple years ago! I was completely blown away! It was a stage full of post-rock guitar bliss!!!
This song feels like a big hug
This is just beautiful.
I'm impressed ... I thought there is no more post-rock collectives with a luxurious sound ... Bravo !!!
Why so much hate for the drummer?
He's killin it !!
Elias Simpson He doesn't hold a steady tempo. And isn't creative in the slightest. He is getting the job done but not well.
I've been playing drums for 10 years and what he is doing fits perfectly in the Post Rock genre. It's supposed to be a relaxing genre. You don't want a choppy drummer smashing the shit out of his kit with fills and overcomplicated beats. Simplistic is key for enjoyment

Have you watched their latest Audiotree sessions? He is playing some meaty stuff there
Same thing is said about Pelican's drummer, that he is just plain lousy and simplistic and there they are pulling out amazing music as usual... Its like every drummer in a post rock band needs to be Russian Circle's for some to feel good...
I love the style it just blew me away
so much love for this band
What did I just watch/hear ?...it was amazing!
I am Persish . I love my Caspian See and I love you Caspian . very good ...
Melhor vídeo de toda a internet.

Thought, that post-rock would never impress my anymore, but the ending is actually amazing. Great work
the beginning and the ending, just waw. CASPIAN 4ever
I just witnessed magic happen, WOW!
Damn the last part. I cannot wait to see you guys. EITS coming to AZ next month.
Why this song so breath taking😣😣
Godspeed You! Black Emperor is still my favorite Post-Rock band, but they are so good!
I wish I could listen to this song for the first time again. The chills were unreal
Isso é tão incrível que eu sou incapaz de descrever em palavras
Wow! I was still kicking myself for missing their show in SF last week and this video doesn't help one bit.
Amazing song, especially the end!
it started out like 'why ttf the drum is so loud' then at last the obvious drum sound is the one that gave me chills
SENSACIONAAAL!!!
