    Another great video. Learning how to add these seemingly small details is very useful.

    Hiii ClayGolem, one thing that maybe you don't know is that the effect is not needed to be toggled from the effects, you mark the option of toggle the effect when item is equiped. You give Haily the object, but that doesn't count as equiped, right click on the item and then equip. That should activate the effect automatically.

      Thanks. Useful little insight and good for items that are non-command-word operated.

    I have active token effects installed & enabled but do not have the 'effects' tab on items. any ideas?

      Err... that's odd. Without any modules, I still get the Effects tab when I create a new item, or edit an existing one. Are you running the D&D game engine, and what version? I'm on 3.2.1 and all is fine.

      @@clay_golem Strange, mine wasnt showing it needed an update but I didnt force it from 3.2 to 3.2.1. I had to disable 'Dynamic Active Effects' for the effects tab to show up, but still looks a bit different than yours. I tested in a test world and same thing with only that AE mod enabled. Are you sure there isnt other mod requirements/pre-requisites?

      Nope. I did this again yesterday to play with re-creating this very weapon in a new test work, zero mods. The Effect tab definitely there (although the actual light effect didn't work due to changes on the back end). I'll look at re-doing this video considering the game engine has moved on from when this video was done, and it's different now.

      @@diggles27 With DAE enable the "Changes" tab is the same as "Effects." I think it's something with the new update.

    so how do we add light animations to the item we just created? :D

    • @WarlordMegatron
      @WarlordMegatron Місяць тому

      figured it out! All i had to do was read the wiki, durp. Add a new effect, select ATL.light.animation, override, and type "{type: "torch", speed: 2, intensity: 2}" (without quotes outside brackets) and you're done.

      @@WarlordMegatron You could also use a Sequencer animation if you wanted to do something funky: ua-cam.com/video/X9kVYmYZBqo/v-deo.html

    Really wish people would list the system in the video discription so that people can know it's for dnd and not something anyone in foundry can do. The title kinda says it's for foundryvtt in general, video also doesn't say upfront it's for dnd. It's a good video just some thoughts on letting people who don't do DND know it's not for them.

      The techniques used in this video, including the mods, are agnostic. It doesn't matter what the game system is - you can do this. There's no need to say this is specific to D&D, because it's not.
      So if you have any item that you want emit light, this will work for you.
