OMG!! *THANK* You for this detailed information! *Much* better than other videos I've seen.
We recently got a Google Nest Pro Edition & it's been driving me *crazy* ! But hopefully, with the information in this video, I can figure mine out. The one thing that drives me crazy is that it sets the temperature on it's own!
I would, however, like to see a video on the Google Nest Pro Edition for the A/C setting. I live in Florida so weather is *humid* & hot! An explanation of the different settings correlated with the different things that happen as result of AC in humid places would be helpful. We do not have (or want to install) the Nest app nor connect it to the internet.
    Once again, *THANK* You!

      Hello,
      Thanks for your comment.
I read it and missed to reply.
What do you mean my Google Nest Pro Edition? I tried but couldn't find it.
To control the Humidity, you can either use Dehumidifier. Also, when A/C runs and you lower the humidity from Humidifier ( if you have), the unit removes it.
Also, i will study this and explain you further as in Canada unfortunately we don't have weather like Florida :( so i don't have experience with it. But will try to help you.

@@How2 Hi. Sorry for delay in responding. I finally found the information on the thermostat - it's a "Google Nest Learning Thermostat - Nest Pro Edition".
I have been able to figure out how to manually get it to keep the temps at what I want at different times during the day (YAY!!).
Don't know how it'll react to all our humidy here in Florida. Guess I'll find out! 😄
Edit: I didn't recall seeing a "humidity" setting on ours...

Can we setup a schedule that turns OFF (not temp change) our Nest Thermostat every day at 3:55-pm? We have electric time of use requirements in our area, and we need to remember to do this daily. A schedule would make it so much better. Even an automated Google Home routine that does that would also be good. Thanks

@5:06 How did you press schedule? I did not see you press anything. Do you press the icon or do you press at the bottom. You should be clear about this, and this is one of the things that causes me the most problems with this thermostat, which BTW I hate.

@@aclasscali Thanks for explaining your question.
That is because this is Smart Thermostat and has learned and added to Auto-Schedule for Temperature to be at Certain C at 7.45 C.
So when I reduce the Temperature to 19.5 C, it will be temporarily held till 7.45 PM, and then the heating will start again.
Hope this explains, let me know if you have any questions.

      Hello Kevin,
You can lock the Thermostat by Entering a PIN that you can easily remember, and enter it again to confirm. You can also download app for access.
If you're locking your thermostat in Heat mode or Cool mode, you'll need to set a temperature range. Drag the slider to set the minimum and maximum temperatures while locked. Tap Lock at the bottom of the screen when you're done.
      I hope this helps

Should we keep the fan on or if off what happened

    • @How2
      @How2  11 місяців тому

If Fan on Auto, It will run when system need it for heating or ventilation.
If you put the fan on ON, the blower helps circulate cold or hot air throughout your home until the temperature reaches the thermostat setting, and this runs longer.
