Hi Rajeevan Thanks for your comments. These were part of the lectures I recorded for my students when I missed some classes. I am thinking of making a complete set of Reinforced concrete and Prestressed concrete videos. And I will be adding some example numerical solutions as well. Regarding the Eps (ce) I know I was bit confused there as the I thought the slides had wrong values. I will correct it and add all the descriptions. Cheers Rabin
Dear Rabin, Thanks for the wonderful presentation on Prestressed concrete. Is it the complete set of videos? If not please upload all of them. Your way of presenting the concept is superb.
I have a few questions: Time= 14:00 You have given the expressions for eps(su) and eps(sc), but forgot to give expression for eps(cp), so that in the next slide. Time= 14:54 You are switching to previous slide to see the expression for eps(cp), which does not exist in that slide. Also, you are wrongly trying to correct the expressions for eps(su) by changing it to eps(cp) without changing the right hand side of the equation of d(st) to d(p). How to get eps(ce)? Not mentioned.
Hi Rabin, how to estimate Mu at the top section though. I have a 6m long beam which is presstressed, however lifting points located 1.5m from ends. I assume it will overstress top section during lifting. Please comment. Thanks

In 12:10
you said to find the value of Ku dn, HOW??
It would be better if you solve a few numerical problems on the portions covered.

Hi Mr Rabin, Do you have any video on the design of concrete pre-stressed spun pole? As it is being spun , its hollow at the center.
sorry Chandran, I do not have that video yet.
Thanks
really good video, and i have some question, if you can help me that will be your kind regard.
Thanks
please read the comments in the reverse order.

Hi Venkatesh,
The lectures are based on Australian Code AS3600. However, the basic principle is applicable to any standards.
