Dave always wanted him to join Megadeth, but Dime would have only agreed if Vinnie Paul was going to be the drummer. But Dave didn't want to kick out Gar, so that never happened.....Over And Out almost seems like a (friendly) message to Dave, "hey we can write great Megadeth stuff, even without you" 😄😄😄
Failhaid dave already had nick menza at the time, thats why vinnie and dime didn’t join. and also this was written 2 years before dime was offered to join
Idk, I’d guess the “glam metal” claim comes from the 2 earlier albums. Even though I personally don’t consider those to be glam either. Definitely less metal than this album though
@@shannonfleming8932 no, definitely wrong. They already left go Glaze after the third album. This is Phil's first album and you can distinguish it with the change of style of vocals and the whole songs
@@shannonfleming8932 You couldn't be more wrong. In fact, if you were a true fan you'd know this was Phil by simply LISTENING. It's obvious who the vocalist is on this album.

I really wish they would have put 1 or 2 songs on each album of just a whole song of dime doing a guitar solo. I cant believe they didnt do that more, wish they did.
Id almost bet Youve never heard a Glam album like this in your entire life. Its almost funny that Phil never really got thanked for this even by his own band. This is what Became Cowboys In the end. It did. and the rest is easy to say. Most similar bands died out at the end of the 80s, In 1991 Pantera was going on world tours for the first time.
thats because phil wasnt even around during this album. Thats not phil standing in between rex and vinnie thats terry glaze singing on this album, this album was while they were still playing tombstone and joes garage
Buenos inicios de phil anselmo una pantera como esta ya no la tenemos pero tenemos sus temas que es lo mas nos interesa a los oyentes del metal como este que nunca muere
I wish they wouldn’t have acted like these songs didn’t exist once they got a major label deal. A lot of these riffs are some of Dime’s best.
They didnt .
They re bootlegs and video of 1990 , 1991 where they play this song ..with death trap and , Pst 88 and power metal
They didn't, Phil said he'd re release these if the label wanted to.
@@Nissardpertugiu And after, acted as if they were some sort of stain on their image. Just look at what Rex said recently about it.

Dime's riffs are brutal on this track :)
album says it all :)
Impossible NOT to headbang to.
Idgaf about Cowboys from hell and the other albums, to me this is their best album they've ever written.
Big call!
this song is so megadeth inspired
Steve Stoner Harvey I mean dime was a big fan so

Imo some Testament also. Love Pantera forever 🤘
First thought was "wow, sounds like they might've been trying to imitate Megadeth's 'The Conjuring'", and then this is the first comment I see, lol!
killer riffs from the man himself (R.I.P. Dime)
With slightly deeper vocals, this could fit perfectly on Cowboys from Hell.
Chuggy, thrashy,......
Awesome.
People who say this is "glam metal" are idiots who don't know heavy metal when they hear it.

They don’t say they were glam metal they just say they were their glam days cause they dressed the part. They are clearly metal
Agreed
Right on we got some thrash going on in this song. This Pantera album is a hidden gem!
The double bass reminds me of Message in Blood on CFH
Best song off power metal imo
The song Power Metal is a badass song & nothing on but the radio is classic !
Phil back in time was the best of two worlds: clean but wide range vocals of classic heavy metal and harsh/crunchy vocals of thrash

They need to release tracks awesome heavy metal that the world needs to hear
one of their best albums for sure. so many bangers
OMfG!!!!! This is soooo much better than their modern albums!!! Clean machine gun riffs with good chord progressions!
Thrash, death, and groove in a mix of true new found power of extraordinary proportions.
Sounds like Megadeth apart from the vocals.
Very
For real
Except the shouting backup vocals. They remind me of the production style on the Peace Sells album.
Even the vocals sound a bit like Mustaine.
I'm hearing a mix of Judas Priest and Exodus here, definitely wouldn't believe someone if they told me this was pantera lol

Judas Priest, Metallica, And pantera are like the first popular bands to use double bass.
am I sensing a bit of Judas Priest here? 🤔
