great job ! I would suggest washing the models in warm water. Also pick up a starter paint set like The Army Painter Warpaints Fanatic: Starter Set. Comes with primer and all the basic colours as well as a mini and painting guides...The painting guides are great for beginners. best part you do not have to build the mini!! as far as the push fit I found it really helps to cut the peg at an angle so it is pointy.. goes in alot nicer but i also use glue just incase I snip too much out.
