For bigger heavier rocks, is it only substrate holding it up ? Is there something additional that goes under the substrate to help hold up heavy rocks?
Thanks for the help! I do have a question though, what's the heaviest a stone can be for a 125 gallon tank? I using egg crate beneath the substrate to distribute the weight but I'm still not sure whats too heavy for the tank? Thanks again!
The Bigger piece of egg crate you use, the more it distributes the weight. It also depends on the thickness of the glass. But you can go pretty heavy in most 125 G if it is done right.
Great tutorial,Tnx George. Only thing is the more "learn" the more I don't know what I want !. Also for OCD purposes at 5:24 is it "Not what to do" or is it "What not to do" Arrrrrr that's me up all night.
4:17 When you're cleaning the rocks in the kitchen sink and your wife walks in.

How to add height? My rocks sink into the substrate and I cannot get the height variation in a 90 gallon tank !
