Looks absolutely brilliant. I got myself a 130x50x50 tank. which over the next few month I will set up. Next week during my vacation the cabinet will get put together and it and tank moved in place . Then shopping for equipment, hard scape and plants will start- It is a covered tank tho..
Great scape simple but yet perfect for me to emulate, love the more hands on aquascaping tutorials no yada yada / talking .just perfection like all your aquascapes looking forward to my trip down to aquarium gardens very soon
Pleased to know you enjoy the tutorial hands on type videos, hope it helps! Look forward to your visit, we can show you all our aquascapes in person then 🙂
Great tutorial Dave, I visited the shop for the first time today, I live a 2 hour drive away so its not something I can do regularly but I'm glad I finally made the trip down. The display tanks are stunning, you can watch videos, see pictures all you want but nothing is as good as seeing them for real. They are so immersive, I'm sure you can look for hours and still keep finding hidden areas and gems and it makes the fish look amazing too, I bet they are loving it! I hope to get the aquascaper 600 I love the 50cm depth (width) it gives so much more to the scape. Dave is very helpful, thank you and I also found out that one of the staff members is a friend of someone whos husband is the guitarist of a band I love called Lonely the Brave (originally from Cambridge) to whom I spoke with at one of their gigs in Norwich. Such a small world! Anyhow, if you can and you haven't yet, I would definitely recommend a visit! I was probably there for 2 hours or more, I had to go in the end or I may have been accused of loitering with intent. It was with intent alright.. To marvel at the amazing showroom aquascapes!
I found that the best bargain in the plant world..is Windelov. For $5 per plant at Petsmart you can fill a branch or log with something that wont die on you and gives you the look of a crisp professional aquarium especially when combined with Anubias..also now easy to get. I also like narrow leafed Vallisneria...elegant when constrained in a pot rather then run wild. Its creates a green curtain with easy care.
Amazing aquascape. You make it look so easy. Loving the wood too, nice mid-ground between spiderwood and driftwood. I'm definately going to be copying some of what I've seen... for example the little planting area in the rocks to the left hand side. Great idea :) I really do wish I'd put filter floss between my rock when I started my tank... time to retrofit this too I think! Anyways... Amazing video :)
Glad to hear it’s given you some ideas 👍 it’s easier the more you do it, the idea of the video is to show that anyone can create something like this with the right advice, products and plants 🙂 thanks again for watching!
@@AquariumGardensAquascaping It's a lot of fun to experiment with different materials and try different aquascapes, but how often does the average person who's not in the business, set up an aquascape? From a home improvement center, I just bought some organic potting soil (to offset the cost of expensive aqua soil) ,pea pebbles and sand, along with some other river rocks. Once I get the hardscape done, I'll pick up some plants. It can get expensive...
You left out the important stuff I think. Yes, add soil, rocks, plants to taste. Don't forget the water! How about the lighting (wattage, timing, etc.), chemistry control, filtration, and how does this CO2 diffusion work? I kept aquaria many years ago but it looks like you have some new stuff to make things easier. You don't put a cover on your tanks? These beautiful tanks are amazing. I feel eager to start back up with the hobby.
Hi Jim, thank you for your feedback it’s much appreciated! We will do more comprehensive videos on individual aspects such as lighting, CO2 etc. This video covers mainly the design of the aquascape and hardscape/plant choices for a low maintenance Nature Layout. Please see some of our other videos where we touch on CO2 and lighting. But we will add more detailed videos in the future :) please see description for all equipment used on this tanks. Thanks again, Dave
Lovely scape Dave, my scape that you help create in store is still going strong, managed to conquer the algae issues by reducing the twinstar led to level 10.
Inspirational, how do you stop your surface skimmer from bobbing? I do a water change each week and the skimmer is fine but after 3 to 4 days it starts to bob out of control and takes lots of air in to the filter . If I adjust the bottom it is sucked right down and the only way to stop it is to use an elastic band as a stopper. It seems switching of the filter for half an hour works, but I don’t really want to be doing this. Any advice welcome 🙏
A very inspiring video. I would like to adopt this layout for my new aquarium. You have reproduced a great piece of nature and fish and plants will live very well in it. Great video. In one word: AWESOME :)
Hi there I know this video was taken a while back but I've only just come across it while learning how to aquascape. Question: As you were placing the rocks, did you just place around the edge on the Aqua soil or have you also placed rocks to cover all the aquasoil including adding driftwood. There was no side view taken so show the layout only a front view so im wondering how much space you left from edge of soil to back of tank
This is exactly what I’ve been wanting to make my tank took like! Just can’t find any material or plants! 😔 How many liters is it? Do you still have the same scape?
Scott Williams thanks Scott. It was pre soaked for this scape. Otherwise we would glue, bond or cable tie down the wood to the rock. You will also notice some rocks placed on top of the wood in places to weigh them down and prevent any potential floating.
How long does a scape like that survive? I have heard that the aquascaping plant soil tends to rotten since it doesnt get cleaned or gets any water fluctuation/flow.
It can survive indefinitely, plants will grow for year, they might die but can be replaced. Aquasoil does not rot but eventually will lack nutrients, you can use root tabs once that happens though. As long as you maintain it you can keep it going.
Could I have a question about woods you used ? Before I use them, I put them into the big bottle with water, alcohol and sea salt in 01 week; but when I put the wood into my aquarium, the color from woods still have and it make my aquarium's color change to yellow (or brown,..). So please help me what method do you use to resolve this problem ? Thank you so much.
wonderful! I want to make my tank like this one, but there aren't any places to buy stones (nice colors and all that) i will have to go look in a river or smthing xD
Making-off Videos, my favourite :) Cool video, cool rhythm, cool music, cool scape... super cool Scaper! Congrats Dave Keep up the good work, stay strong, all the best success for you and the team! Cheers >

I like the blue lines on these fish:)

Beautiful scape, great video 👍
That's one of my favourite scapes ever. Cool
Wow. .nice colours of your wood you have chosen. ..and overall a very nice created tank. .thumbs up 👍
Beautiful scape, Dave! Wish we could have a narration, but nice video. :)

Magical...👍
Lovely! Also really like the song in the beginning. Would you share where it's from?
BEAUTIFUL! 😊 RUSSIAN LIKE! 👍
Lovely but how do you clean the tank. I have sand and black gravel on top, but when I clean the bottom it all gets mixed up?
Interesting video, very nice my friend.
Amazing job! Looks excellent
Lovely scape Dave, my scape that you help create in store is still going strong, managed to conquer the algae issues by reducing the twinstar led to level 10.
Great! I’m really pleased your scapes going well and that we could help you :)
Is it okay to place the filter inlet at any side....which side is recommended?
Awesome! Where can we see it after fw weeks of grow? I was unable to find that video you mentioned in the description....
Thank you Dave. Great aquascape tutorial and BIG text really helps. Are those easy to find plants?
saya dari indonesia, karyamu bagus
Beautiful stones with deep grooves - which type of stones is it?
Hi, what kind of fertilizer do you use ? And how many water change for months? Thanks a lot!

awesome scape
The scape looks really beautiful. But is there enough light? It's less than 20 lumen/litre. Will this work?
Yes ample light from the Twinstar 900E for these plants 👍
What's the 2nd song's title (2:50)? Upbeat and uplifting
Please more Videos like this.♥️😍

Wow looks amazing! I’m just about to set up a new tank and will be taking inspiration from this! I have to ask is your wood pre soaked?
Scott Williams thanks Scott. It was pre soaked for this scape. Otherwise we would glue, bond or cable tie down the wood to the rock. You will also notice some rocks placed on top of the wood in places to weigh them down and prevent any potential floating.
Aquarium Gardens Thank you for your quick response. I look forward to future videos 🌱🌿
Beautiful. The hardscape seemed to come together quickly. Did you have it planned out before you started?
Yes we had a plan and practiced with different pieces of wood and rock in the shop prior 👍
Great tank, thanks for sharing. Question where did you get your river wood. Wood that doesn't float? Cheers from Bend Or
Lovely scape Dave. I used to have the same tank.
Pavol Kulanda thanks Pavol 👍
Is that Aquascaper 900 on the clearseal cabinet Dave?
Pavol Kulanda no, edgeline 900. Aquascaper 900 is better :)
Bogwoooood ;-)
How do you vacuum the substrate and in between plants without disrupting the placement of everything?
Hi! Would this planted tank do well in 82 degrees water, for two blue rams? Thank you!
hi, how does the hardness of the water affect the stone used in your aquarium?
Do your Amano shrimp jump with the open top?
😍😍
Is it ok to use glue? What kind is ok for plants and fish? I’m a beginner thank you 🙏
Super NJ :)
1st song is 7 magnets by luwaks

Beautiful!
Watch kind of glue ?
Plant glue that we sell on our website 👍

what kind of filtration is that? Is it pretty self maintaining so you don't have to drain water?
What kind of glue can be used that’s not harmful to fish? Any wood glue would work?
Nice
How large are is the tank

Rio Xingu (Xingu River) is in my country, Brazil! 🇧🇷
wonderful! I want to make my tank like this one, but there aren't any places to buy stones (nice colors and all that) i will have to go look in a river or smthing xD
How can we got aqua growth soil..?
Stupid question but how come the driftwood isn’t floating away like in mine lol
Fantastic 😁
That is a very nice looking tank! My only negative point is about the bucephalandras on the wood. Its kinda distracting there.. Otherwise amazing job!
I want to do it in my house.. Is it maintenance free? How much I have to spend for this aquarium.
My hills and elevation of substrate always over time collapses and settles down even!! It's very frustrating, I wish I could get it to stay a hill?
Making-off Videos, my favourite :)
Cool video, cool rhythm, cool music, cool scape... super cool Scaper! Congrats Dave
Keep up the good work, stay strong, all the best success for you and the team!
Cheers >
Thanks again Luis for watching, appreciate the kind feedback :)
Hey.
What makes thise tank Low Maintenance ?
Once it's set up you don't have to clean it much other than normal water changes.
Source: I have two low maintenance aquascaped tanks at home.
My dream.
Is there an update to this tank
Any updates on this tank?
Deberían decir las medidas del acuario, para uno guiarse !!!
Hai can i know the tank volume
You charged the aquarium on the grass
