Another great video- and again I learned something! Thanks for sharing the build.
Question? Can't find anything on needing to use a series or combination of vented soffits for porch ceilings. I have no roof vents over my extended porch. Is there Any concern with moisture build-up or extreme heat trapped under the roof deck?
what wood would you use if you didn't want the vinyl look?
I wanted to see the last piece finishing in the j channel. Nice work on the ceiling.
I’m doing a 24 x 24 garage ceiling, how far apart did you do your strapping? Thank you
Hey brother, my soffit has slightly come undone on my porch. I don't see any screws..I want to push it back up and seal it but not sure the best way to connect it without using screws or nails. Would caulking work? Its just a reconnect at the seam maybe an inch or 2 back. Hoping to fix this afternoon as I noticed birds trying to get in. Any advice would be awesome. Subscribed.
I wish you had shown how you put a square hole for light.
How do it glue two pieces of the vinyl ceiling that overlap?
Great video!
No insulation ?
I have a 51' run that is only 5"wide. Would cutting the 12"wide piece to fit mess with the integrity of the install?
What is the product you used?
Can we Do solid soffit for porch ceiling? Pls help
Put some railing on that deck.
condensation?
I need to replace my soffit looks warped, not sure if it’s due to my ceiling fans,
I see nobody asking about is how is water draining - maybe im missing something? Where did you install the gutters for rain water ?
How are you connecting the j-channels together? Are they butting up to each other? Do they overlap each other to allow for expansion?
J-channels on the ends, too? If not, how do you give the ceiling a finished look?
Why not just add the soffit the direction of the joist? Why the other way needing more wood?
