These guys always sound the same when they perform every song as they sound on the recording. They say their fans are used to it the way it's recorded and we aren't going to change anything. I love them for that. I've been very disappointed at some concerts because they didn't sound like they had on the radio. Fanny Be Tender. To Love Somebody. Words. Living Eyes. My World. Jive Talkin. You Should Be Dancing.
Barry Gibb in this video looks good enough to eat. His voice his hair his smile his demeanor is perfection. And Maurice and Robin your right up there too💋
The Bee Gees were the greatest ever! Their music touches your heart and soul!! Watch Fanny be tender with my love!! Awesome song!!! Also this song was done for unicef; all proceeds went to them; they never realized how big of a hit this would become!
The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Robin (Dec. 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012.) Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. Barry (the middle) said, 'I'm the last man standing.' He is now 75 yrs old. He and his wife, Linda, have been married for 50 yrs; 5 adult children and 7 grandchildren. Barry's voice is a bit more mellow since he is older, but he continues to perform to sellout crowds!! They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they recorded after the songs were released for the other singers. Andy Gibb, their younger brother had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. They could had been twins! Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry stated that Andy lived the 'LA lifestyle.' On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who turned 78 on January 12th. Her birthday is the same day as Maurice's passing. 😪 She really didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs: Staying Alive {nice beginning} --- How Deep Is Your Love? --- Night Fever --- One --- Alone --- You Win Again -- Spirits (Having Flown) --- Jive Talking --- Closer Than Closer --- Bodyguard --- Emotion (Destiny's Child did a cover on this, but Samantha Sang (original) is better. (IMO) Of course they wrote this song too. The proceeds from 'Too Much Heaven' were donated to UNICEF, an organization to give aid for healthcare and other services to children around the world. The video for UNICEF is titled: Bee Gees - Too Much Heaven (UNICEF 1979.) There is a small introduction before they come out to sing. At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10, and another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2.
The Bee Gees are an exceptional group they have provided many many hours of such beautiful music. They are songwriters, singers and harmonist. Great reaction!! Listening for more.
These guys couldn’t read or write music. To them they felt the music! God I miss the 1970’s 👍I wish Maurice had lived long enough to see UA-cam and how popular they have become again.
I'm so glad to see younger people discovering and enjoying this music without all the hype and press that came with it when it first came out. This song hit the top of the charts and as of the summer of 1979, they were still VERY popular, but as with anything popular, there was a backlash, and it wouldn't be long before the Bee Gees found themselves pretty much ostracized from the music industry. By the spring of 1980, radio stations wouldn't play them, they couldn't get booked on tv shows anymore, they were cut off, in America, anyway. There were disco and Bee Geed destruction rallies, where the local radio station would bring out a bunch of Bee Gees records in the middle of a big outdoor stadium and blow them up. One dj made a parody of this, called "Meaningless songs sung in very high voices." But the joy and love young people experience hearing this song today just proves that it wasn't the music, it was just the sad human frailty of having to diss anything popular. The music holds up, and always will, because it was, and always will be, awesome.
Barry, Robin and Maurice (pronounced Morris) sang together from the age of 6 on. They also had another brother named Andy. He had a solo career (if you watch the video for You Should Be Dancing, you will see him onstage with them.) Unfortunately, Barry is the oldest and the only brother left. Andy died shortly after his 30th birthday due to damage to his heart from cocaine use. Robin and Maurice were fraternal twins and both passed away. They wrote songs, sang them and played instruments. They also wrote songs for other artists. 120 million records sold over the course of their career.
All three are brothers they have another brother named andy gibs oldest is berry and the one with the high voice. Staying alive another one of my favorites. 😊 their English from England. Like Queen. 😁
Yes it’s a good song by some very talented guys and the other 298 people that reacted to it agree. Be the first to react to Have Another Hit of Fresh Air by Quicksilver Messenger Service and watch how fast everyone else follows. There’s so many obscure classics out there like I Got a Line on You by Spirit, Easy Living by Uriah Heep, Darling Be Home Soon by the Lovin Spoonful, Or some Moody Blues. I’m Just a Singer in a Rock and Roll Band, Tuesday Afternoon, The Story in your Eyes. And hundreds more. Just pick any one of these and if you don’t like it I’ll kiss your ass and say it’s ice cream.
