Also I read the book it was so good and it made more sense I feel like if queen of the Damned took the time and show us the flashback of Akasha it would of been a better movie but the actress died from a plan crash so I don’t think they had time
@@hopesfairy8613 Not true at all. “Queen of the Damned” filmed in mid 2000. Principal photography was already wrapped when she passed. The only issue they had where they needed her was during post production. They needed her voice to do voice overs in some of her scenes. So they asked her brother to add his voice and they just dubbed their voices together. If you watch the movie again and turn it up when she speaks, you will hear it. Her brother adding his deep masculine voice, speaking in the same accent she used. It gave her this demonic, not of this world element to her voice. You can really hear it during the scene where Akasha and Lestat are outside on the balcony where he discovers her “kingdom of corpses,” and during the final battle you can hear it. So just clarifying your comment.

@@WTKB82 Aliyah did very good for someone that was just getting started as an actress.......I wouldn't say she was "great"; she was a little hammy and overacted in a few places. But, man, you gotta wonder.............what could have been if she had not died.
She was Accurate actress for role akasha but scripted and direction was fuck up in worst way to the bar first appearance and beach was only parts i find worthy the book was best fuck the movie
In queen of the Damned we should have gotten a Back story from Akasha like we did with Lestat

The book is way better than the movie, aliyah was the only one who played her character how she was in the book

Agreed. Aaliyah was a beautiful girl and also a pretty good singer, but her acting in this movie was cringey and awkward.
