Read a book quite a few years ago now called '4 Iron in the soul' True story about a journalist who takes a year off to become a golf caddy for a tour pro. Really good book, really funny and eye opening about what some of the caddies go through particularly when caddying for lesser known golf pro's. Definitely recommend it.

I'm sure it's a significant adjustment that a player has to make when they have a caddie, but I did feel that Rick didn't make it and constantly over-rode Will's advice. Will didn't fight him on it, which I suspect is the sign of a good caddie anyway. The other thing that I noticed Rick doing that maybe Will could have pulled him up on was thinking holes ahead instead of focussing on the ball at his feet and the shot needed to play that. Certainly all Will's advice was about that shot, not some mythical shot on the next hole.

Great video, one of my favorites in this series. Loved Will Davidson. I can see the value on the reinforcement, the keeping focus, etc., even when it's nothing more than an "I agree." Maybe I'm just speaking too much for myself, but even when I am "pretty sure" I know the line--even on short putts, or how to play a shot into the green, etc., there's some small amount of doubt that keeps me from fully committing too many times. I need a Will Davidson in my life.

Very nice, Rick! You kept your head in the game and didn’t talk yourself into a bad round. Instead, you got over your bad shots quickly and shot a great round because of it. 🤘🏻

Great video - was interesting hearing the thought process as you talked through the options. Was good to learn course management and just how much a caddy does apart from carrying those giant tour bags!

I just came back from a bucket list trip to Scotland and Ireland. Had caddies every round. They are all professionals. Don’t worry about disappointing them. They have seen way worse and way better players than you. Go enjoy the moment. Make it fun for yourself and them. Don’t worry about your score.
Will here is exactly the type of caddie I had. Great attitude and support for the golfer. I can see why Lexie would have him on her bag.

Loved this video, very interesting to see the input of a professional caddie. Soo many close puts that could have had you under par. Thanks.

Fun round to watch! Started horrible but kept your head in it and scrambled like crazy during the bad holes. A lesson for me to learn from!

Wow, I was rooting so hard for you on this round. Interesting how you can feel pressure to just shoot an arbitrary score with nothing else on the line. That's golf. Love it.

Loved this! Great the way you kept the round together, I would have fallen apart after the par 3 double but the round improved, great work from the caddy.

the rounds you play with tour pros are "sexier" (Adam Scott blew my mind with that 120 yard 6 iron and his distance and accuracy overall) but this video with the tour caddy is soooo educational...love it!
