I'll just get phase essentials when it is released. Its going to be $350.00! It turns two regular turntables into controllers at a fractionof the price. No more needles 😃 There are a few ultra high torque regular turntables on the market right now with higher torque than Technics. The Reloop 7000 & 8000, Stanton St.150 & Str8-150, the epsilon turntables (The cheapest alternative. If you bought two of those AND phase essentials it would cost about as much as ONE Rane 12) my last roommate had a pair of those. They look cheap as hell, but the torque is beast! the Dj Techs & the Audio Technica Atlp-1240 😃
I wish the consumer had the choice of running serato not the manufacturer telling us and that we have to use that specific mixer. And no need to be in battle mode i think it kinda defeats the purpose djs set up their 12s like that so the S Arm does not get in the way when battling. Put the. 12 like a 12 with start stop on the left your pitch on the right and some hot cues are cool in the back and what would really set off the New Updated Version of the Rane 12 would be to some how some way to install a TOUCH SCREEN!! that..would..be Awesome!!! Im sure every cdj dj would lose their minds!! That is a suggestion and would be a great suggestion. To recap: no having to use Serato or Traktor for that matter. No having to use only one specific mixer. Let the dj choose his set up if we are spending the money. Add flash drive to the 12. Put back the original set up no need to be in battle mode if there is no S Arm to get in the way and last but not least add a touch screen to the 12

Hi.....will I need to use different USB cables if I connect to a Numark Scratch mixer? The Numark Scratch only has one USB port which is used to connect to my Macbook Air. Can I connect the Rane Twelves to a USB hub & then connect the hub to my Macbook Air? If I can, will I need different USB cables from the ones provided by Rane? The connection on the end of the cables that go into the 72 mixer are square, whereas USB hub ports are rectangular? Thanks
I’m hearing intermittent static in both headphones and speakers. The problem happens with or without my Twelves connected to the Seventy-Two. Could it be due to clipping?
I just brought the rane 12 with the 72. But it seems like when I press play it’s slow. Like off beat Do you think it’s something wrong with the 12 or it’s a setting or something
Can I use real turntables with this mixer and can I play ordinary vinyl through this mixer and use the effects when I just want to play my vinyl collection?
Can you comment on the drift or wow & flutter with the 12’s? Have not seen any display of the Serato software regarding bpm accuracy with these decks which is what I would think a majority of djs would like to know since these aren’t actual t-tables. Good review otherwise.
Do these turntables eliminate the fluttering BPM in the Serato DJ Pro software you get with using analogue Technics turntables & DVS control vinyl? If they do, does it even eliminate the fluttering BPM using a digital file ripped from vinyl? Thanks

Yes, simply use a powered usb hub. Set the locking screw slightly to test how tight or loose you like to cut, then you can tighten. Lock it then give the control Vinyl a little lift then tighten if you like a faster more loose feel to your cutting & spinback.
