I couldn't agree more with your statement about over-engineering. I have a 14 year old BMW stick shift coupe with about 54,000 miles. I've driven nothing but sticks, but I wouldn't mind another BMW and an automatic. But the new dash is like a science lab. I'm too old to figure this stuff out. I'd have to pull over every time I wanted to change a setting! The garage assures me I should keep my perfectly fine car.
Hi Bro. You are 100% correct new trucks are over engineered to much technology in them. The truck i drive a Scania R460 not the worst truck to drive. Like most new trucks all it takes is 1 fuse to go faulty and the truck is parked up until a mechanic over charges you for a repair. Sending Scottish good luck vibes for both brit and yourself on your journey to have another child
Great vlog as always it looks cold up there. Praying for yall for a great healthy pregnancy. We had a terrible weekend our furnace went out then our house almost caught fire well we had a fire it had to be put out by the fire dpt. but it was just smoldering smoke from the roof it never actually caught fire. We were blessed and lucky for sure. Then had a little electrical trouble after that. It's getting fixed slowly but surely. Furnace and electrical should be fixed later this week. We are waiting on insurance to help fix the house we've had a restoration team with these huge fans drying everything out. Stay safe and God bless.
Have u ever thought about doing an interior tour of your truck. Describe and explain what each of the gauges and switches are for. Especially for those of us who have never driven a semi.
prayers sent Josh , hoping for a good swimmer !!!! Dude, i know this year especially is going to be tough but a Christmas vlog 22-25 combined like you've done a few times back in the day be cool ...PS: i assume and hope that bunk heater still going strong
Hello Josh, It was and still is very cold out today. I started my day in Minneapolis, now Im sitting along I 94 in Wisconsin getting 2 trailer tires replaced that were flat. Stay safe out there in your travels driver.
A little tidbit of information on rivers Josh. We have a river in NY State that begins as a spring just across the border in PA. And, it flows from south to north thru central NY winding it's way north going thru the middle of Rochester NY and flows into Lake Ontario
It was a cold day here in Winterpeg err Winnipeg. The windchill at 6AM was a balmy -40c / -40F but there were no mosquitoes. Car ties had a couple of flat spots. I did not buy much for Christmas only buy if I can pay it off with money on hand. Getting overextended this time of year is not somewhere I like being.
Go see some Hockey...in the Weekend... I used my weekends out for soccer games... have seen league games in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy Austria... In wintertime I would go for Handball... its big in France, Germany, Spain and off course Denmark. but you americans dont know Handball.. At the moment Euro championship is going on (female) Denmark in semifinal. tonight at 6 pm.
Im a long time subscriber from my laptop and now subscribed from my phone... we mostly watch your vlogs from our smart tv... we are having a hard time understanding how to subscribe from our tv.. so if we do like or comment, its from our phone.... i talked to a few UA-cam vlogger followers and they also share the same problem as i do... maybe because we're older farts and dont understand this high tech stuff..
The newer trucks are unreliable at best. Anything with EGR is a problem waiting to happen. I hit a bird ( or it hit me ) with my CB antenna. I looked in the passenger mirror and all I saw was a bunch of feathers. I felt bad for the bird but I'm sure it didn't hurt long.
Dude I drive a 2023 389 daily. I have 158,000 miles on it. Once again it’s at Peterbilt. This time for a recall, they need to disassemble half of the engine to get at some gears she said. Few more days it will be down. We have 8 new Peterbilts at work and they are always having issues. I feel bad for guys that can’t hop into another truck when their main truck breaks, how is anyone supposed to make money?
Hey Josh , question ? When your dad retires from trucking , any thoughts on buying his truck ? He has that sought after engine right ? Is it the Cat C 15 ? Thanks man
Honestly when i was doing research on new trucks vs old trucks when i was thinking of being a truck driver. I found that maintenance wise old trucks are better for how quickly they can get in and out of the shop but new trucks get way better gas mileage. Like 8-9 per gallon vs 4-5 per gallon with older trucks like yours. Of course this number could vary based on conditions of the road and such. What do you typically get miles per gallon if i may ask?

As an Minnesotan American I would love to have y'all Canadians join the Great US of A. 🇺🇸
The Canadians are fortunate, and will do better without us. At present; the USA is crap.
Josh stay safe out there ! I will keep you in my prayers!

Doesn't not using the clutch affect the gearbox?

Is anyone ever rich in their own minds? Most people want more than what they have.
You ever get comfortable driving in snow/slick conditions?
My dad lives in Mississippi it's Mississippi
I’d be wanting a turkey and like I would do it but I wouldn’t be happy about it
❤️❤️❤️
Old Blue begging for a Florida load yet😂😂😂😂

I usually get close to 6mpg
@ A bit higher than I thought it would be. Must be because you know your area so well and avoid the gas guzzling routes when you can heh.
Why I fly both Flags where I live
Love you Videos man ! I want to get into trucking is it still worth it in 2024 going into 2025 in your opinion?
new trucks and new cars seem to both suffer from planned obsolesce
👍
