    The X-T3 is definitely a camera that can do more than many need, especially amateur shooters like me. I love the camera. I take it hiking all the time. I got mine in 2020, barely used, at a great price. It will definitely be with me for a while as most new cameras are way out of my budget. Maybe down the road when the X-T6 comes along I will be able to find a newer used body again. Take care and have a great weekend.

    You may switch ISO and shutter to Automatic with just the Rear dial - if I am not mistaken, 3 Auto ISO modes (auto iso sets the shutter) are located past ISO 128,000. So just keep turning that dial 😊 It is not very fast, but it is on the same dial.

    I have been trying to rationalize for years whether to upgrade my Fujifilm XT-3 but every time a newer model is released e.g. the XT-4, XT-5, X100VI, etc. I cannot justify upgrading because my Fujifilm XT-3 images are still fantastic (to me). I do not think I can achieve any better quality images by upgrading. My only complaint is the battery life. I carry a "pocket full" of batteries when I use the camera. Other than the battery life, I have no complaints. I have never had the issues that you complain of in this video. I purchased by camera in December, 2019 and am still happy with my purchase. The new Fujifilm X100VI has the same battery as the Fujifilm XT-3 so I guess I will wait for the next upgrade. Until that time, I will continue to enjoy my Fujifilm XT-3.

      Yeah seems my camera has more issues than others, but they seem to have mostly gone away with the firmware updates. not sure what the problem was but yeah. still an amazing camera (except the battery)

      I use the xt5 and the xt3 for weddings. If battery life is absolutely essential to you then the xt5 is fantastic. way longer battery life. the ibis also helps me in low light situations. The xt5 also seems to have slightly more noise. likely due to the higher megapixels. I could see someone being disappointed if they don't absolutely need the new features because the xt3 is still doing great work.

    I was so confused by my camera resetting to factory settings for a long time. This makes so much sense now! Also, if you bump the camera it can factory reset 😅. My daughter pulled the table cloth off the table with my camera on it… luckily I have the cage on and it suffered no damage from the fall. But it DID factory reset the camera.

    I bought mine in 2019, and since then, Fuji has improved many functions.
    I was playing with the thought of buying something else for video because of the leg of IBIS.
    I used Canon before, and the color has been great 👍🏻. When I first used Fuji simulations, I fell in love with them. Straight out of camera the jpeg's look great (I'm not a pro and shoot in all manual). I quickly got used to the dials and manual shooting.
    I also use aperture priority, but manual is simpley more fun.
    I looked at xt4, xt5, xs10, xs20, panasonic g9II....
    They all look good on paper, but there is no innovation at all.
    In almost 4 years I didn't had no freeze or leg or reset problems with it. And I updated the camera every time firmware was available.

      it is an amazing camera still! for upgrades, yeah the xt4 is too close to it and the screen is just worse for the style of shooting this camera is intended for. If you are happy with more megapixels the xt5 is a great option. But I get what you are saying, there is no big leap as an upgrade, but you will definitely feel the difference a lot with an x-t5

    Yeah: I still love my x-t3's. Great for events and personal work. I love how small they are if you mount a small lens. But you can still do the more demanding things with the bigger primes and zooms. Super versatilie: I love that. As I don't really need faster autofocus or more megapixels, I don't feel a need for an upgrade. I love how it looks. I love that it has a headphone jack for video. For the kind of shooting that I do, I don't really need auto iso. So the front dial is fast enough for that for me. so yeah: awesome camera :)

    I have the same issues in my XT3: it randomly set to factory settings. I don’t know how to solve this 😢

    • @perhat22photo
      @perhat22photo  9 місяців тому +2

      Here is what solved it for me:
      -Make sure if a battery gets used up you replace it with a charged one as soon as possible
      -If you don't have a charged battery plug the camera and charge it trough usb-c directly
      -never remove a battery without turning the camera off beforehand
      This happens because the internal battery that is supposed to power the memory of the camera and keep your settings dies, once that happens if the camera runs out of juice it will reset to factory settings.
      It does not die right away when changing batteries but make sure it never stays without at least a bar of charge in it. If you don't use it every day make sure that every time you store it it has a freshly charged battery in it.
      Hope this helps :)

      @@teukurama3569 Honestly no idea, I never take the battery out of my cameras, both my xt3 and xh2s always have one inside and I never had a swollen battery on either of them, or any other cameras I owned previously (more fujis, canons and nikons) so I say its not something to worry about.
      I think if that was something we should worry about other devices would not be made with integrated batteries (like gimbals and lights or even laptops or phones)

      @@perhat22photo I've had my xt3 for years now. when I first got it i had no problems with resetting. not until it has aged have I had to deal with resets. I have always left batteries in the camera but I tend to use quality batteries such as the nitecores if im not using the original batteries. the cheap batteries would definitely swell up. I will also say I am constantly using my cameras so the batteries are constantly being swapped out.
      As far as the internal battery I believe Fuji might be able to do some maintenance. I have considered doing it myself but once i saw the amount of work that went into getting to the battery I thought it twice. I may end emailing fuji sometime down the road to see what it might cost.

  • @matt88169
    @matt88169 9 місяців тому +3

    Of course it is - the XT5 deletes the battery grip, reduced build quality/materials, weak buffer. The new sensor is lovely BUT electronic shutter is slower unless cropped, and readout is slower-so bad rolling shutter. You get a little dynamic range bump and 24% more resolution-that’s about it. Oh ya-the price now feels high for what you are getting. I definitely won’t be shooting my red badge lenses+flash with an XT5-the “photographer’s camera”. It would kill my hands.
    Not ready to switch to XH series which, better or not, is just like every other camera on the market in terms of ergonomics. Kinda boring to me and, at $2k-$3k fully kitted (grips, a battery charger, therapy to get used to the useless selfie screen), is making me pay attention to Nikon or GFX for “real” upgrades at some point. That is of course unless Fuji comes to its senses and remembers that both XT and XH cameras should be high value, “flagship” grade cameras!

    • @perhat22photo
      @perhat22photo  9 місяців тому +1

      Yeah, I get you. I don't really get the appeal of the x-t5, but I really like that they ditched the X-T4 screen on the 5. The 40mp sensor does not really have much sense for me as well, worse rolling shutter for both video and photo makes it less interesting.

      uffff good question. My favourite focal lenght and lens right now is the fujinon 23mm f1.4, but if I could only have one I would want something more versatile so I would probably go for the Sigma 18-50 f2.8, best compromise. Small enoug to bring everywhere, cheap enough to not have to baby it, and great image quality
