This is the best edited breakdown i found, nice work, i'm rooting for Nicky Ryan but i feel like Andrew got this, also really hope we see Jimenez vs Tye even of they fought before, can't wait to see how the alley will change the game when it comes to standing game
One thing to consider, like Jocko Willinks already pointed out: theres a million in the pot. Usually they fight for a lot less money. Youre not gonna risk a heavy injury for 10k. But for a million? I imagine some Athletes wont even tap after their arm has been broken. Like that time when Gordon didnt wanna tap to Craigs armbar? This is gonna be normality at CJI.
Yeah, that's a good point. If someone offered a million to break my arm, I don't even think it would be a hard decision. But, I don't know if we will see that play out until the finals.
I don’t know how much it’ll change outcomes but I do think we will see some cool transitions off it. Some of the training videos have been fun to watch.
Just coming back here to say how wrong i was about the pit. It definitely made a big impact. The biggest thing for me is how it makes you pay for not maintaining the center. Big advantage for wrestlers. A lot of takedowns happened by running the person to the slanted wall first. I hope every major tournament adds the pit in.
@@grapplingwithjiujitsu Hmm, yeah that was interesting. As someone who don't train I thought it added a lot to the enjoyability of the matches, so did the 3 round format btw. I feel like I wanna see it hit the ground, optimally with a cool takedown, rather quick in a match and if that's not doable, I guess the wall is a good substitute?
Something NOBODY is considering.. how in the hell is he going to pay the millions back that he borrowed?!? It’s simple economics there’s no way BJJ will make enough money to even come close to paying that back, there ‘s very little ROI. I personally don’t think this will last more than one time when Craig realizes that most BJJ fans are cheap mfrs and there is way less than you think and it generates not even close to enough profit to hold events like this.

That or they refuse to take any risks
there should be a slightly bigger prize money to runner up lol
@@grapplingwithjiujitsuwait, seriously? Damn. Break your arm? Fuck. I don't know... Damn. A million? But break it?? Damn.
Breaking your arm in bjj doesn't give you the win though. Just a *chance* 😂
Can't help but think it'll be Ruotolo vs Ruotolo in the final
When live going on?
🙌🏽

How much do you think the pit wall will invalidate your predictions?
Or do you think these high level athletes will make that a non factor?

Dont count nolf out. Hes been training jiu jitsu pretty heavily since he graduated college
ATT has a gym at State college. Jits world has D3 guys at the top of the scene. They are bout to get smeshed
All the fun is under 80kg bracket. 80+ is borderline trash.

The show is free on UA-cam and the ticket sales go to charity. Any ROI is going to be from sponsors. Cheap ass fans aren't really a factor
